I got one too. I called the number back from a land line phone to complain about them using my text allotment to send me junk. I already have all my phone numbers on the DO NOT CALL registry and I certainly don't want to use my text allotment and iPhone to receive junk!
All I got when I called was a recorded message telling me to check out this website: www.ringcentral.com
Apparently it's a website for a cloud-based phone service. All I can say is if I wanted it, I would look THEM up. They don't need to be forcing their ads on me!
interested 2012-02-14 16:53:45 Unknown
they may be using the word shill incorrectly but you are using the word 'your' incorrectly genius! I believe you mean "you're" why are people so dumb?
jos kabibble 2012-02-14 00:12:12 Unknown
Technically, there is nada "illegal" about the text messages (mine from 407347 4600).
But this is obviously an intrusive, obnoxious way to try to drum up business. Just be glad that other desperado's have learned that this IS NOT a cost effective way of advertising. This outfit will soon come to the same conclusion when they realize what the return on their dollar is on such a scheme.
Meanwhile- do NOT contact them. If you do, this will only assure that your number will be be sold to the next outfit.

You have the 100% wrong information on when you think it texting you.
I do feel bad cause your giving out the information of people that are not involved in this at all. You are referring to a company located in Florida. There are MANY CHJGroups in the USA alone. and I know 100% that CHJgroup.com is not owned by CHJ Group LLC.
Jim 2012-02-09 21:11:49 Unknown
This particular text is not a scam, its simply free info. Sorry you didnt want it, here is a method you may be able to use to block the texts.

Neither of what you think has happened.
Your numbers were obtained legally.
Here is how. When you filled out ANYTHING, an application on line, registration for email or corporate website. When you applied for your car registration.
This is how your information is obtained. The companies that you trust with your information sells you out to the highest bidder and makes a TON of money. The only way to stop things like this is to no give your information out. Your state, FL, sells YOUR information. Your own government is selling you out, maybe its time to take a stand and take the country back from corporate giants that run the government when its supposed to be the people that run the government.
Hope this answers your question.
Jim 2012-02-09 20:58:30 Unknown
The company you linked is not the correct company. How come everyone assumes this is being operated out of Florida?
Jim 2012-02-09 20:48:45 Unknown
^ see what I mean. This person doesnt even know how to correctly use the word shill, and they are saying that were trying to capture your numbers when im giving you ways to not call and still block the texts.
ShillHammer I challenge you to prove what you are spamming.
Again I will explain, there is no need for anyone to call back to confirm phone numbers. Your number is confirmed as soon as you receive the text message. Its send as an email and has delivery receipt.
http://www.emailaddressmanager.com/tips/email-confirmation.html
Spam all you want, your actually worse cause your telling lies. At least I tell everyone if they dont feel the need to call then dont. Plus your using the word "shill" incorrectly.

I think we can all agree that B2C should not be this intrusive and any companies that believe this is an acceptable method of ad delivery must be shown that it is not.
Here is the contact information of the party that is apparently launching these campaigns based off of information from another poster.

This is now my 3rd text from this "service", for each additional text I receive I will post the information of a relative. I think that is a fair trade, but something I would rather not do.
Find another method, and for gods sake, get some sort of web presence so you don't look like you were just hacked.
Text & Notification Bar ads will not be tolerated and those who force them upon us will be outed into the open to hear the opinions of those they are targeting.

I got the same message, Good thing there's world wide web that u can look and check on such crazy things like this. they they have nothing to do but fool other people. a lot of scam bug so beware always be inform before returning messages that came from unknown sender.
Kelly 2012-02-08 14:54:06 SMS
I have been receiving these since January. Mine says FreeInfo@CHJgroup.com: Please call 4076027407 then also the number 407 347 4600.
Is this the new way telemarketers and scammers are going to get to us? This has to be some violation for the DO NOT CALL list. I have a bad feeling this won't be the last of the scams that come via text.
Does anyone know how to block this from Sprint?
taz 2012-02-08 14:49:46 Unknown
Please Call 4073474600

I got two of these texts in two days - Thank you very much Courtney!

I received the same message on 2/2/2012 at 11:35 AM. The communication reads, "Please call 407-602-7407" and that's it. Either Verizon is giving away our phone numbers to the wrong "Third Parties," or just maybe Verizon got hacked and a bunch of customer phone numbers were obtained by the hackers. They actually may have other sensitive information about us, but I hope that's not the case. I know Verizon is a very good company, and if we make complaints to them in regards to this issue, I'm pretty sure they will try very hard to fix the problem. I received one message from info@chjgroup.com!

People dont call back, this info should help some of you block the texts. Also ShillBuster YOU ARE USING THE WORD SHILL INCORRECTLY. Have a great day.
