Woman with very foreign accent left a voice mail message claiming to be Sabrina Martin from IRS. She even emphasized it was IRS, the Internal Revenue Service, and that I needed to call back due to time sensitive (which did not make sense) because I had a tax deficiency. Tried to call her back to get her IRS badge number to report to IRS and Treasury Inspector General but phone number rings busy. Called two days in a row.  First identified themselves as IRS...heavy foreign accent.  Boiler room sounds in the background.  Called back the first day & they DEMANDED my phone.  I told them that they called me, so they should already have it!  Definitely a scam!

Good call. I wish we could arrest this trash.

Call the real IRS @1-800-366-4484 and report these people.

This character is a fraud and everybody should call him at the same time and keep calling them constantly make sure you dial star 67 and then his number from either a cell phone or landline and torture this b*****d as he is no more the IRS than a man on the moon.

Got the same call this morning. Also called as Dept. of MV saying the IRS has suspended my driver license. They even programed the IRS phone #800-829-1040 to appear on the caller ID.

I just received the same call stating they were from the IRS and the sheriff would arrive in 45 minutes if I did not pay the money.  Still waiting for the sheriff.  What a scam!!!!

I got the call too and and asked me to call back this number and ask for John Anderson.

This is some scam artist from India, no doubt. Probably using VOIP.

I got the exact same call today from a "Debra Karen" at the same number (408-351-6837) from the IRS investigation department.  They left a message and said it was important that I call them back for legal reasons.  It was a bit hard to understand her.  She had a heavy Indian(?) accent and it sounded noisy in the background.  They didn't say what it was for, but it seemed kind of fishy so I am not sure if I should call them back.  I didn't get anything in the mail, but in the past, if it was an audit or something, they would send a letter first.

I received a call from 408 351 6837 two days in a row now. The person's name is David Karen. He claims he is from IRS and he wants me to call a number to sort my missing IRS documents. He said the IRS mailed me information in the mail but I did not  responded. I am sure this is a scam.

I got a call from 408-351-6837. Someone with Indian accent introduced himself as Jack Calvin from IRS. They are crooks and bunch of SOBs that they need to go to jail.

It's not really a debt collector. I think it's a scammer. They are telling you the IRS is after you and to send them xxx amount of money and they'll resolve your claim. But the guy is calling from another country but with a local U.S. number. Harsh accent. They'll get some dumb person to send them some money. How sad is it that you have to scam people for a living....

I tired to call back to and no one answers and then it discontents.

He guy called who can barely speak English, said he was from the IRS and want to speak to Debbie.  I told me to f$%^ Off and to not call back.  He called back and told me to F$%# Off.  

When I called the number back the phone automatically disconnects.

I got the same call. It's fraud so don't do anything the person says.
