These people continually call for a person who has not lived at my phone number for 20 years!  How can I get them to stop??

Got a call from the same Brianna at 408-414-0372 - looking for a person (I'll call him Tom) who has not lived here for 20 years!  I have been receiving many calls for Tom  from what seems to obviously be debt collectors.  I have informed them over and over that this is no longer a valid number for Tom and to please stop annoying me and my family who has had absolutely nothing to do with Tom for the last 20 years!!!!!!!!  Maybe I should have a lawyer call them??!!

Received a call and message from Brianna this morning. Message said something to the effect she was calling (my name )about a private business matter and if I was not (my name), not to listen any further. She said by continuing to listen to the message, I am acknowledging I am (my name) and there would be a 3 second pause. This is obviously a debt collector using unethical and illegal tactics in violation of the FDCPA.

After the pause, she said she was calling from a law firm and to return her call to a toll-free number. She provided the law firm's name and the toll-free number, but I hungup quickly and deleted the message, figuring I could find out company info via 800notes.

It is always amusing to me to receive calls from a law firm about a private business matter when I have not received anything from them in writing.

The 408 Area Code encompasses San Jose, CA and other nearby cities.

Anybody else get calls from this number?
