This is an "outsourced" Indian purchasing and service group for a number of companies. I have to talk to them. They sometimes do not understand what you are saying and they do not have good connections.

Just got a call from this number, referenced as HCL technologies. I had a difficult time understanding the East Indian gentleman (Gupta?) that left a message... He was demanding someone to call him back regarding flight numbers and referenced the below number... Dont know if its a phone number or flight number... But he had extra emphasis on the flight call numbers....

From what I've read on 80notes, this is very likely a scam. You do not have AT&T nor requested tech support and you got called? Yeah, a scam.

Got a call from this number at 12:30 AM - left a message "confirming your request for tech support" and (hard to understand, seemed like gentleman with Indian accent) left an 877 number to call back but missing a digit - and seemed to say "AT&T support" (I have no at&t account). When I called back this morning it said something similar to what the last person posted re call center, enter desired extension, but no way to contact anyone or operator.
Does anyone know, this doesn't even seem like a misguided but real support center, it almost seems like someone having fun waking people up or part of some larger scam - since they seem to purposely mumble the name of the operation calling, and provide a bogus callback

Calling this number gives "Welcome to <something> Technologies BPO Services." BPO = Business Process Outsourcing. This is a contract call center, and it seems Office Depot is one of their larger customers.

No, this is a real Office Depot number. I just ordered some stuff from Office Depot and had delivery problems (for a whole week, ugh). This was the number that was listed in Call History, when they called to verify address.
408 area code is Bay Area, California. Hence the "Chinese woman." Probably an immigrant staffing a call center. As for "residential number" -- most databases, including reverse lookups, are filled with wrong information. For about four years, my Experian credit report said that I lived in a warehouse, because my residential address was marked as commercial in their database. Possibly due to rezoning that never made it into the databases.

I also got a call from this phone number (to my CELL phone). It sounded like a Chinese woman. She asked for "Gerald" (whoever that is!) and told me that Gerald ordered something from Office Depot. ????? I told her I don't know any Gerald, that I don't deal with Office Depot, and that she reached a personal cell phone number. She said, "Thank-you for the information" and then hung up. I looked up the number by REVERSE LOOKUP and it was a RESIDENTIAL number...not Office Depot!!!
