Received a call on my mobile phone from 408-651-8170, but did not answer.  No voice mail, just a missed call on my phone.

I actually just got the same call as the rest of you above from Carpet Care.
I too am on the Do-Not-Call list and have been since 2003. I did what some of
the other callers above have done, "Hit #1 to schedule an appointment."  But,
when I got through to the operator I sounded HAPPY, I said, "Oh I'm SO GLAD
to get your call, I've been meaning to make an appointment but don't have
time right now - can I get your number so I can call back to schedule an
appointment later?" - The woman gave me Carpet Care's # (888) 241-6353!!!

I promptly went to the Do-Not-Call List www.donotcall.gov and filed a
complaint.  If you are getting calls from Carpet Care, please make sure
to file a complaint when you get one!  Feel free to use my approach above!!

I was taken aback with this call since this is my first spam call received.  I googled this number (408) 651-8170 and came upon this with all of you.  I again re-registered my cell number on the national do not call list.  Let's hope this company is fined to the hilt.

Got a call at 12:42 from 408.651.8170.  Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number.  When I listened to the message, it was a cut off recorded message from Carpet Care.  I will follow up with DIGITCOM SERVICES INC.

Diane called me also from Carpet Care. On BOTH of my lines. The number now is 603/214-3637. I pushed 1 and asked where they were located. She hung up. The second time they called I pushed 1 and pretended I wanted my carpets cleaned. I am in Fremont. They told me they have a place in Union City.

Got a recorded message from "Diane," offering carpet cleaning.  11:52am 5/9/08.  My number is on the federal DNC list.  Pressed "1" to make an appointment, then the line disconnected.

Ok...  Just traced this call to a cell phone carrier called "DIGITCOM SERVICES, INC." <http://www.digitcom.net> out of Los Angeles.  I called their support number (800-464-5446) and told them that one of their customers was calling me when I was on the do-not-call list.  They said that they will "block that number" what ever that means.

Got a call from 408 651 8170 and decided to hit 1 to get transferred to make an appoinmtent and asked the name of the company and was told Carpet Care and I sid that I was on the do not call list and was hung up on.

Same experience as all the others. I was a little shocked since I'm on the do not call list. Hung up before I could get any info. Looked up the number immediately after and found this. Sounds like a scam. Shows as Salinas, CA

I have a business in Los Gatos named Carpet Care Specialists. It has nothing to do with this phone number 408-651-8170. We are receiving calls from people thinking we have something to do with the sales calls coming from 408-651-8170 and using a name of Carpet Care (only). Not us, nothing to do with it. Sorry about the confusion.

I got a call from them on my cell phone at 3PM PDT on Thursday May 8, 2007.  I listened to a long recording promoting their carpet cleaning.  I pressed 1 to talk to an operator.  She told me several times that the company is named "Carpet Care".  She refused to say where they are headquartered.  She refused to say where she was.  It was obviously a boiler room; I could hear other people in the background talking about carpet cleaning on the phone.  I pretended to be interested in making an appointment so I could wrangle more information from her, but she got annoyed and hung up.

I have no idea who this is.

I got a call at 15:30 for carpet cleaning on my cellphone. I've never gotten telemarketing calls before this EVER on this phone...and the last time I had given this phone number away was to Dell for a repair :(

Received a call from this number at 3:18 pm on 5/7/08. I did not pick up as I was on a call and they did not leave a messaged. Filed a complaint at the do not call registry.

Got a call from them offering carpet cleaning. My number is on the do not call list.

i just got the same call about carpet cleaning from this number, i normally don't answer and wanted to pick up to yell at the person, but it was a recording! grr!

Got an automatic call from them. I'm on the Do Not Call list also.

I just received a pre-recorded call from this company as well. If anyone has the real phone number of the company please post it, I'd like to talk to a person and complain. I'm also on the "Do Not Call" register.

I just received 3 calls back-to-back on my cell phone from this number. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. It appears they are making a round of calls today as all of the above comments were very recently posted. I'm also registered on the "DO NOT CALL", but this doesn't seem to be very effected or respected.

They called my business cell. They did not leave a message, probably because they heard the business message.  I googled the number (408) 651-8170 and found it on this list.   I too am listed on the national do not call registry.  Obviously they either don't know or care about that list.

These people called me on my cell phone.  When I pressed 1 to set up an appointment they said the name of the company was "Carpet Care."  I made a complaint on the national do not call registry.  The number is not a working number.

They have been calling me for months and leaving messages on my home phone, they finally called me on my cell phone and I pressed "1" to set up an appointment.  They said "Carpet Care" and I asked if that was the name of their company and they said "Carpet Care Specialists".  I told her to take me off of her god damn list and she said nothing and hung up.  I am researching and they may be out of Los Gatos

They left a prerecorded message on my cell phone. Carpet cleaning.....So much for the "do not call" list.
