I haven't been called by these people, or if they did call, they were never able to reach me.  My problem is that they are on my credit report.  Wrongly, they accuse me of owing them and black and white towing company $930.00.  I don't know who they are or how they EVER got my name and number!  I hope some tort lawyer gets hold of this and we all can sue the bast...s.

I have been getting calls from this number.  They claim that I owe $2155 for a towing of my vehicle.  I have released liability on this vehicle right after I could not get it out of the tow yard. I am not responsible to pay this money.  I wish that they would not call me anymore. I even wrote to them personally stating that I have released liability on this vehicle.  I want to dispute this bill since I have not received anything for about a year or two from them in the mail.  Please help me by getting them to stop calling me since I am not the responsible party on the vehicle that was towed to Arena Tow in Sacramento. They have also been calling me at 1-888-264-1376 for some of the time.  This has been a thorn in my credit report for some time. I want it to be off my credit report.  This  is stopping me from getting anything because this is affecting my credit record.  I would think that if I released liability that this would have been taken care of.  Please help me to get out of this mess with this company.

They also have a few other numbers (408-762-7280, etc).  It is mostly annoying when I answer and no one is there or they will leave some message about an important personal message.

I get calls from 408-762-7278 3 times a day on my cell, I never answer a call if I don't know who they are so I never pick up this call. but they keep calling and a couple of years ago when I got this number I did put it on the no call list

How can we stop these kind of calls?  I am tired of answering and then they hang up and if they leave a message it is  "very important"!!!!!!  I am on the "do not call registry" so that doesn't really help. I have better things to do than put up with this crap.  Why are they getting away with it???   And this isn't the only one.

I have been getting call from this number telling me that its a collections agency asking for my personal information and asking me to send $ 500.00 to a personal bank account. THIS IS CLEARLY A SCAM. Do not give them your information they will scam you

They've been calling me from this number asking for money. No collection letters or any kind of mail. I think this is a scam. They don't give me any time of information as to who sent me to collections. They ask for money to be sent to a bank account and for my personal information. I THINK THIS IS A SCAM.

With caller ID, who needs to talk to these people. If you don't recognize the number they can talk to your VM.

They call about every 2 months, and say if I am not "Jessica something" then hang-up....yep, I hang up.....

I have had the same issue with this (408) 762 7278 calling me. It has been a daily thing for the last three weeks or so.
I usually ignore the call and it goes to voicemail. They leave a message saying they have important personal business with me and to call them back asap. I answered the call once ready to let someone have it and it was the same recording telling me to call them back...

Rickenbacker with phone number (408) 762-7278 has been repeatedly calling over the last 3 months leaving messages on my voice mail saying that they have a personal business to discuss with me. Yesterday they said they are a collection agency and I have been reported to them for an unpaid bill. If this were true, how come I have never received a written communication to this effect.  Surely, these people are just trying to scam me and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

This company just started calling my parents house looking for me. I know I don't have any unpaid debt that would have gone to a collection agency. They said they had an important matter and asked for my number. My mother told them no way.

These people are relentless, they have called me at midnight. I too never received a letter or any kind of notice.  The messages are recorded and there is no live person on the line, but they want you to call back and then they ask you for all kinds of personal information.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.... PLEASE.....

godDAMN IT, these !@#$%^&*ers have called me FOUR times today!!! I posted about this on March 13th, and it hasn't stopped yet. I never answer the phone because someone said that they're only trying to figure out when I am available. I'm so glad that I have not answered even once because I'm hoping they'll just give up. I don't owe anyone money-I don't know how the hell they got my number!!

This is a scam. They have been calling my cell phone number repeatedly and when I called back, they keep hanging up on me refusing to give me information about their business.

I received a VM from a computer stating they had personal business.  When I called back they said they were a collection agency and asked for my reference number.  I told them they did not leave me one and then they asked for my phone number that was called on and they could not even find the number in their system. SCAM!!!!

they've been calling me at 8 am almost every day for a week now. I haven't answered any of their calls but they leave the electronic message on my voicemail about personal business and whatnot. I have no idea how they got my number, but just kinda glad to know that I'm not the only one. Do I just need to change my cell #?

These "Rickenbacker" has been calling my house weekdays and weekends. Leaving a message that they personal business with me.  I have never answered and have never called back the number they leave.

Having the same problem as those stated above from this number.  Whom ever is calling they need to be stopped, but how?

Azhar, that is because you probably got a computer calling you and the computer is just seeing when the line gets answered, to log a time with your number for when you are home and can have a real person call you.

I am receiving regular missed calls from this number . They drop the line before I pick it up . And if i answer the call in time, even then the other party drops the line.

These calls are from Rickenbacker Collection Agency, If your name was used as a reference for someone else on any documents then they are calling to try and contact someone you know. That is assuming you are not being contacted for a unpaid debt.

I received a letter, then the phone calls started.  They claim I owe a towing company money (2800.00) in California.  That would be great, but I have not been to California for about 13 years and my car has never ever been towed.  I believe they are a company who got lists of names and are trying to scam people into believing they owe money.

Same as leticia.  Many messages left on my phone that are short on detail.  No unpaid bills on my part and never anything in my mailbox.  They are just fishing for money from unsuspecting fools.

I recieved numerious calls from them. One of the ladys actually called me a B@*ch. I tried reporting it and they put me on hold forever. They are rude as hell.

I've received calls from this number on my cell phone (never my land line) for over a year. Sometimes there will be a flurry of calls in a day, sometimes there will be no calls for several days or weeks. No message is ever left other than a recorded message stating "I'm calling about important personal business" and leaving an 800 number.

They have never identified themselves but I was able to look up some of the information in a previous search and see that this number goes back to a collection agency. Well, I am current on all debts that I owe, have a credit rating over 800, monitor my credit through Equifax and was able to get my home refinanced while all these calls were going on. At no time before or during this string of calls has anyone contacted me, even in error, over any sort of unpaid bill, by mail or telephone. The cell phone number is one that I hardly ever give out because it is an emergency phone -- other than these repeated calls (and a few drunks calling wrong numbers late at night) it rings about three times a year!

In short, even if you owe some money, don't assume these calls have any connection to a legitimate debt. I would never give any information to the people originating these calls.

Please stop calling us.You just hang up on us if we answer that is not nice to do that.Please take our name off your list if you won't talk to us.

I've been getting calls everyday since I received this phone#.  However before me this number didn't belong to the person they keep asking for.  I've called the 866 number and get disconnected every time.  I'm going to call them at the 408-762-7278 and see if I can get a LIVE person to stop these calls.
