got 2 calls in a row from 2 separate women operators. one proceeded to say "i wanna la la la lick you from your head to your toes..." needless to say i was a little distressed especially since she referred to me by my first name.

He was a very fast talker and said I had a relay call and wanted to know if I knew how to use the system.  I said no.  He said he didn't hear my answer so I said very firmly NO.  He said his shpeal very quickly again and all I got was that he'd tell me whatever the supposed caller typed.  He came back with, "Hey, guess who?  What up beoch?"  I hung up.
I don't know anyone who would need to use this system to communicate.

The service thats calling you is called IP relay, its built for the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

The system is funded by the FCC (Our wonderful american goverment) and most likely the freaky calls your getting is someone you know personally or a bunch of teens trying to prank you.

Also please be kind to the relayer :) There just doing there goverment funded job.


Like I said its funded by FCC its officialy yours and your tax payers money is paying for the service.

I recieved a call and the person had a very thick accent and she said she wasnt allow to engage in conversation but only to relay the message. the first thing the person said to me was "who is this" asking who I am when i never talked to anyone. I almost wonder if i had a txt message or something intercepted cuz my return number is in it. I make sure i dont post my fone number anywhere..ever. So this is very creepy.

I got a call from this number just a minute ago and I hung up on him. He called back again and so I put it on speaker. He said that it was a relay call through the computer. He said he was a detective and he wanted to ask me some questions because he believed that I had come in contact with a criminal suspect. He apparently had reason to believe that. He asked for my name and where I was today. I had to say "go ahead" after every response. The guy would read what the other guy said and then I would have to give my response for him to type. I finally told him sorry, but I had to go and to please not call back. This was sooooo strange!!!

i got a call from this number at 10:26. i didn't not pick up because i do not pick up the phone with numbers i don't know. i looked it up online and this website came up. i tried calling it back and it said all circuits were busy. weird.

I received a call from them about two weeks ago and did not answer. I googled the phone number and saw it was a scam.  Last night, at 2:45 a.m. my cell phone rang 3 times, I woke up, saw who it was and when they called back a fourth time I answered.  I told the woman that I knew this was a scam and she informed me that she was not allowed to communicate with me, I told her my baby was sleeping and to please stop calling and i hung up.  They proceeded to call me 5 more times and left me two voicemails.  They knew my name, which totally freaked me out and said that the message was from T and that he really loved me and to please please talk to him....  I have never even dated anyone whos name begins with T!!!

I had a relay call from this number last night from someone saying they were interested in a puppy through an ad in the paper.  He then asked if I could send him pictures of the puppy to his email address, henrymaxwell47@yahoo.com, which I did but have not heard back from him. I had a weird feeling about this call for some reason and googled the relay number. Now after reading all the other comments on this web site I am a little scared. Please be carefull and do not provide him with too much information. If he contacts me again I am not going to take the relay call and am following up with the authorities.

i just got a call. he asked if i knew the system, i said no. he told me what to do and was kind of hard to hear. he told me the messages that the person was telling me which had to be someone i knew because of the information. i'm a little freaked out.

I got two calls from this number, but I didn't answer.
They left a message, said it was a relay call, and that someone had sent the message, 'Hello, Kitty, I love you.' It freaked me out because a couple of my friends have nicknamed me Kitty.

I just got a call from this same number and it was a woman. She asked if I had a relay card...i said "what?", then she said i can barely hear you...then i repeated "WHAT?", she said again "a relay card" to which I responded "What are you talking about?"...she thought i didn't understand what i was saying so she spelled r-e-l-a-y for me....then i said O-K...and she just gave her little speech again about relay card and whatever else then she hung up. Never said anything personal...

It was a "relay call" asking if I sell clocks through my business (duh, it's a clock shop).  Then disconnected.  Very suspicious.

same as most operator said they would relay info i called sprint and they found it to be a relay with the name Josh Freederman and a voice mail.

I had two calls from this number both relay calls.  Wanted to buy a puppy from my ad on the internet.  Was a little weird.  A superviser told me that it was a fraudalent call and he disconnected.  Beware of any asking for personal information.

I had a relay call from this number wanted to buy a puppy through an ad in the paper.  He then asked if I could send the pictures of the puppy to his email.  After that we communicated through email he told me that he would be sending me money orders for my puppy in the amount of 3400.00 and then keep the 300.00 and Western Union the 3100.00 to a place in the West Indes for shipment of the puppy.  He didnt want the puppy.  I checked the money orders with USPS and they were no good.

got a call and they said also some crap regarding a relay call; i had listed a car on craigslist so thats where they probably got the number but just look out people, they are apparently up to no good.

I was just called at 10:52 pm. the guy did speak fast and he knew what i was wearing at the time, which was really creepy. he also was saying some innapropriate things. This was pretty weird.

I received 2 calls from 408-822-1645. When I called back to find out who and why they called, I just got a busy signal.

I've received many IP/Relay calls b/c I know a deaf person. But on Thanksgiving morning at 4:30 a.m. I received a call from this # asking for my son, who of course was sleeping at the time. The caller's name was Brandi - I was so freaked out I didn't ask for details - however my son is 12. She gave the name of Brandy Walton - who he claims he doesn't know. Maybe he was talking w/someone online and gave out his # (which of course he denies) but who knows...very strange.

I too recieved a call just a few minutes ago from this number.

he said that hes been watching me since a local festival.
kinda freaked me out.

so i thanked the operator and hung up.

I got a call this evening about an ad I had placed about dogs for sale. The operator explained how to use the system, with which I was totally unfamiliar, and through the exchange, I was allegedly given the caller's email and agreed to discuss a possible sale. However, after hanging up the phone, I was curious about this person's location (area code 408 was not familiar to me), so I Googled the number and got a ton of negative info. After some Internet research, I have not, and will not, email anything to him/her, especially after reading about all the scams and nasty calls. I do not want the caller to have access to my email address. I get enough spam as it is... [sigh]

I got a call from him too, today at 11:04am in the middle of an exam. I didn't pick it up but I did try calling this person back. He didn't pick up. I do have an ad on craigslist where he probably got my number from. Some weird crap.

I received a call on my cell phone from this number yesterday while working.  Male voice used my name and said it was a RELAY call and asked if I knew how to use the system.  I asked that this person identify who was calling me.  He did not.  I pressed the question and did not get a reply.  The male voice then said the message was that my "armpits stink."  I hung up and shook my head thinking what an immature prank.

i had a call and the man said he was from the red cross, he than said do you know know the crises in thialand. i than said yes... he goes, your house has been selected and  we were wondering if u would make a small donation of 1 thousand dollars,.. i said no i cant ,.. he than goes oh you can and i go no i cant he than said.. whats that you said u can. Than i just hung up.

my nan used to live here and she used to get scam mail all the time from overseas, maybe they were targeting the elderly!!!! stupid people
