They didn't call but they emailed me with my ssn information, address (previous) and email address. So glad I saw this posting. Now I know not to respond!

I've had this number call my wifes phone looking for me. Stating that I owe for a payday loan and if not paid would be arrested, lose my job, my work would be called and there would be a letter of reprimand. Told me I had to be in california for court next week. Never told me what law firm they were with, just that it was a law firm. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said that he was the only one. Continued to call after i told them I did not know what they were talking about and than started calling both me and my wife. She told them that them continually calling her was harassment, he stated "no because we are a law firm." yet he never gave a name of a law firm. The supposed payday loan was from Cash USA. The man spoke with heavy indian/middle eastern accent.

STEVE WATSON STARTED CALLING ME 2 DAYS AGO AND HE STATED I OWED CASH ADVANCE USA OVER 900.00 AND TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST OR I NEEDED TO HIRE A LAWYER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE IF I CHOSE NOT TO PAY! I WAS VERY UPSET ABOUT THIS AND MY FATHER CALLED HIM BACK PRETENDING TO BE A COP AND HE HAD TOLD "STEVE WATSON" THAT HE HAS FILING A WARRANT FOR HIS ARREST AND THAT HE WAS RECORDING THIER CONVERSATION AND THAT HE HAS HIS NAME AND NUMBER AND HE NOW NEEDS HIS ADDRESS. MR. WATSON REPLIED.."GO TO HELL!" AND THEN HUNG UP!!! I KNOW NOW THAT THERE REALLY ARE PEOPLE YOU CANT TRUST OUT THERE!!

They just called me threatening me as well on my job. Using Holland and Hart and all of the names listed above. I told them when they send me the information I would look into it. As far as I know I owe nothing outstanding and what I do owe is current. These people are SCAMMING. And it is a shame. I work too hard for my money to be scammed out of it by these idiots.

408 area code is Sunnyvale, CA. I spoke to the police there. They are aware of these people and want the public to know this is a scam. These people are using "drop phones." Pre paid phones bought all over the USA, setting up fake websites and then scamming you out of your money by using threats of incarceration. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY!!! Your only defense is to report this to
ic3.gov This is a federal site set up by the Dept. of Justice and the FBI who can research IP addresses and hopefully bring these criminals to justice because your rights under Title VIII. of the FDCPA are being violated. Good Luck and be informed.

Had the SAME thing happen as all of you. They said I had an outstanding payday loan with Guess USA Payday? (Hard to understand them with their thick accents). The "jr attorney" talked to me first and when I told him I had no idea what he was talking about, he rattled all my information off (last 4 of my social, DL#, routing number to my bank. When I said I didn't understand what he was talking about, that I didn't have a payday loan with that company, he said "Well how do I have all this information in front of me?" I do have 2 payday loans with different companies that get paid on time directly out of my account, but neither one of them are this. When I explained all of that to him, he said this company is suing me for $5300 and how I wanted to proceed, settle out of court or take legal action with my attorney. I politely said "I don't have a goddamn attorney!" SO he put me on the phone with his "senior attorney" Steve Watson, who said this was the final time he'd contact me before there's a warrant out for my arrest and how did I want to proceed. I said how is this the final time when I was never contacted a first time? He said to get in touch with the Orange County court by Monday or a warrant would be out for my arrest. I said "OK give me the number" He said I can't give that to you. So I freaked out at him, saying how the hell am I supposed to call them if I don't have the number, he said "I said get in touch with them, not call them" Lovely huh. So I hung up on them.
Looked up the company (they said they were based out of CA) and there is a Holland and Hart Associates, but it's in Colorado. I wouldn't take this seriously. The only way you can put a warrant out for someone's arrest is if they're charged with a felony... Plus I'm not in California.

I received calls from them on my cell phone while I was on location.  I tried to be helpful asking them to tell me what this was about before I started giving them phone #'s, ssn, etc.  They were extremely rude and hung up.  They all speak with very thick accents.

This number just called my job saying they have a law suit pending and asked how I wanted to settle, I asked for information and they could not provide any, and said I had to go to orange county to the court house to resolve the issue. They also had the last four of my ssn#, and when I asked for more information on the case they could not provide any. I said what bank and they told me the name of my bank, I said my loans are current and told them they were liars and he hung up.

So this is day three of them calling my work and harrassing my co-workers. The bad thing is they say they are from Holland and Hart and there really is a law firm with this name, it is a shame these people are making a bad name for that firm and they aren't even affiliated with them. They keep telling my co-workers that I am a dead beat that doesn't apy my bills and that I owe this for a payday loan and if I didn't give them my information they were going to have me arrested at my work. When I hung up on them they called back yet again and told me I was rude and didn't know who I was messing with.

They have been calling my cell phone and my work non-stop. They even harrass my coworkers. They stated that they were Harland and Hart Firm? and that they are ordering my immediate arrest and that they were picking me up at work and in front of all my coworkers and that i was a deadbeat for not paying my debt. Said his name was Kevin.

Steve Watson just called me too. Threatened jail time, and I have never taken out a pay day loan. I am pretty sure that his real name is not Steve Watson, and he could not give me any information on this supposed loan. Told me if I did not pay the money right now that I would be arrested. Had my work information,and my home address.

CALLER STATED HIS NAME WAS STEVE WATSON W/ HOLLAND & HART/VERY THREATENING - LAWSUITS, JOB LOSS, JAIL TIME.....ALL OF IT.....STATES THAT LOAN COMPANY IS CALLED CASH ADVANCE USA....HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THEM! AND.....HAVE NO OUTSTANDING PAY DAY LOAN.....WOW! WATCH YOURSELVES WHEN DEALING WITH "SECURE" SITES ONLINE....SERIOUSLY!!!! CALLER ID ALSO STATED CALL FORWARDED FROM ANOTHER NUMBER....AAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!!

They called threatening a lawsuit and warrants for my arrest, for a loan on which my payments were on schedule.  They wanted my debit card number and immediate full payment

These people called saying i owe them for a payday loan that i never received. they had the last four digits of ssn#, stated they had drivers license#, they called my workplace. when asked to speak to a supervisor, i was told "you can talk to my good friend Jeff"
