Received the same lime green sticky note.  I wont be calling.

I found a purple sticky note on my garage door with same messge . .   I called # but it rang and rang.  I had to leave for work so I hung up . .

Yes, same note in lime green was left on my door. I do not like that at all. I will call the BMT police department. Too many robberies and this is no way to conduct buisness.

Came home and noticed a post-it note on my garage door to call Russ.  Bizarre!

Came home today to find a post-it note on my front door with 'Call me, Russ 409-767-9964'. Did not call the number and don't plan to after reading these. Weird.

Yeah, had just about the same thing too. Only on my front door.
Call Russ, exactly.
Have not called, don't intend to.
Sort of creepy.

Its going to take all of us reporting incidents like this to keep our neighborhoods safe. I am surprised you didn't report it instead of asking " had anyone reported it to BMT PD".  Let's get back to the values of our early settlers and and help each other and watch out for each other. I think one of the other commenters suggested that.

I did call BMT PD they said they would look in to it. They also told me to call BBB. Did that too. They said the number had been reported to them. The lady said the person is selling insurance but when I asked if that's what they were  really doing she repeated herself. This evening I called Russ myself and asked him who and what he was about. Said he works for company that evaluates your house by sending " adjusters" out to see if the person was properly reimbursed for Hurricane Ike damage. Then they work with your insurance company to get you back what you should have received.  He said the BBB knows who they are but when I told him I had talked with BBB and they had told me differently he didn't say anything other than " really? He said there isnt much time left to get your extra money so I would need to make an appointment and they were filled up for next week unless I called him back tonight? Several other things were mentioned but I have made my decision on the issue.

Same thing for me this morning. Really strange..didn't call though.

I also found this orange sticky note on my door exact same thing as Bmt said above didn't call it back but checked here first glad i did. Has anyone contacted BMT PD? What did they have to say? Whoever Russ is will meet my PIT Bull and my Shotgun.

Why this person is allowed onto my property to leave a hand written note on my garage door, in the morning, which is located on the back of my home.

Called the authorities, no one would respond.

I know of at least 2 of these notes that I have personally seen, they were left on front doors, and both notes were hand written, on a 3x3 sticky post-it note, the were not copied, they were written w/ a black ball point pen. Hand writing was obviously done by the same person, and both notes read exactly the same thing: " 409-767-9964
                  CALL ME,
                    RUSS"

However, the locations that I know of where the notes were left are about 25 miles apart. Both in the southeast Texas, golden triangle area.
The message that I got when I returned the call was from the same as other responders have reportedly received, a recorded message with a female voice "Katrina with National Damage Control". Obviously I did not leave a message or my number.
Both areas where the notes I've seen have been left, are in decent residential neighborhoods, but both areas have in the past months began experiencing more, burglary/break in crimes.  
I am going to began work immediately, to forward the details to the city and county law enforcement agencies; as I feel like this could be some attempt by someone, or a group of people, trying to identify potential people or homes to victimize.
If anyone would like to help by providing additional information, regarding similar notes, I think it would be in everyones best interest to try and uncover who this potential predator is.
I WOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE WHO HAS RECEIVED ONE OF THESE NOTES TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY IMMEDIATELY!  Media exposure to a local news station or news paper may be another good route to take.

Let's figure out who this is and either get the truth or get these people out of our neighborhoods!  And keep in mind that these notes are not coming through the mail, this is someone actually trespassing on people's property.

same deal here too, found note on front dooor said to call Russ, it happens to be a neighbors name so i called and LOL it was the same national damage services so hung up

Exact same deal, call russ (409) 767-9964?? Called the number, something about national damage services, did not leave a message. Anyone have additional info?

Some guy left me a note on my garage door saying to call me Russ, so I did, he said he was going around trying to find people that didnt get enough money back from hurricane Ike Damage. I told I was treated fairly from my insurance company.  
seems like a scam to me
