SCAMMERS-sounded like he from India......said he was ed. Robinson with Federal Trade Commission and That I had very serious allegations set against me, my SSN, and my Bank account......lol  Told me to call back immediateley or face federal charges.......If these guys would just get a job and quite bothering tax paying citizens, I would not have to waste my time posting about this crap so people dont fall for the BS!

He said he was an officer with the Federal Trade Commission and that my SS# had been jeopardized.  When I called the number back he answered with a company name that I could not understand.

they called my cell phone saying i was approve for a loan..they needed to verify i had 200 dollars on a card. to be able to make my first payment next month.. but of course  i found out it was scam. so they kept calling my phone wanted more money..so i change my phone number ..its been 3 weeks ago since this happen.. so i thought everything was over.. So today @ my job they started calling me at work saying ; he was mark taylor calling from the state tax commission ,and i had two outstanding bills wanting me to give him my id number so (im up on my game this time) i told him if he was from the state commission then i didn't need to verify nothing.... then i told him .. ya'll ain't nothing but scammers... u already got my money so leave me alone ,and stop calling my job then i hung up .He called back and started cursing.

Called and said he was a head attorney filing a lawsuite against me and he needed me to put 1000$ on a greendot card only and i had one hour to send it to him

I got a call from 818 863 9678 saying the same thing and if I didn't return his call in 2 hrs I would be arrested. The guy had a heavy Indian accent and said his name was Eric or Aaron Johnson...come on now

I also just received a phone call at work a reverse 911 stating that I had to call James Robinson at the Federal Trade Commission at 410-390-9007 that there were charges pending against me for a Cash Advance Loan that I took out and was not repaid and that they needed me to go get a Green Dot card for $100.00 this afternoon  and call them with the numbers on the back.  I am currently being investigated by the FEC. The reverse call I received was from a Deputy James Kennedy on Reverse 911 to my work number.

I received this phone call and had a bad feeling about it so why I was on the line with "Officer Edward Robinson" who so graciously would hold while I drive around town to get "cash" in hand before he would tell me what to next. When I got to CVS I called the Boston FBI and asked about it they confirmed it was a scam. So I got back on the line and told him I just spoke to the FBI and confirmed the scam I told him he would not be getting any money and hung up. They then called me back using 911 as the caller ID so I answered it, told him that he's a scam and would get no money he angerly told me he was issuing a warrant "just you wait and see" is what he said and hung up.

What is REALLY scary is that the number that showed up on my cell was from 911.. !!! It scared the HELL out of me but I could tell right away that the "person" I was speaking to was NOT American/English speaking! You could hear the other scammers in the back ground talking and this "guy" referred to Officer Edward Robinson...LOL... I DID report them to the FTC and the DA in San Diego to build a case on them! They can NOT represent the FTC NOR the California Sheriff Department legally! Stupid idiots!

This is a scam.  They tell you that you have federal cases pending under your SSN and you must pay them or they will issue a warrent for your arrest.  It is a scam.  Tell them that and they hang up on you.

REPORT THE number to the FCC and FBI they will never bode you again

I too got a call from a deputy James Kennedy- from Nevada state police department saying I would be arrested if I do not respond. While it is a very scary thought, I knew there was something fishy about it...glad to hear I'm not alone and probably have nothing to worry about.

I too received calls from this number.  Dumb dumb said he was with FTC..  then provided me with a complaint number.  I kept telling him to get to the point and stop wasting my time. He got very rude and told me don't interrupt him. But I did which caused him to repeat info 2 or 3 x. Script like. And at the end I told him its illegal to use payday loan in pa and that it was a frank Dodd violation for his attempt to collect a debt this way and that I plan on filing complaints with FTC  pa dept of banking and FBI.  He hung up right away.  
I think he tried calling my work too but d***hit didn't get to far owner of comp is a real hard a** too. Gave him the riot act too.   Please don't let these jack***es get away with this.

At first he was a bill collector then calls back he is a lawyer going to sue then he calls back

I also got calls several times today from this number and when i finally answered and told them what my rights are and how they are harassing me, he told me several times to s*** his*****.  

This number called me left a message stating that it was the Maine State Police Dept.
I had to call them ,they have counts agaist my social security number and my liense .
I went to the local Police Dept. Officer called the number and told them she was a police officer and they started
to laugh and said they was a police officer too she kept telling them .She was really a officer and then they hung up.

This number has called me at least 5 times today and left messages. The message is saying for me or my attorney to contact 410-390-9007 that there has been a complaint brought against me. 3 of the 5 times called they used 911 as the call number, I guess thinking they would get me to answer.  Are the DA for real????

Called and said I owed money, definitely a scam.  Tried getting info regarding social security number etc. I called attorney general and police nothing local can be done because of the location of the call Maryland. Attorney General will look at it.  The reason this call was even answered was because they used the Red Cross Emergency symbol, which made me believe something had happened to one of my children.

I received a call on my phone from emergency number stating that his name was Mark Taylor from Ohio State Police Department, i answered it and he started rattling off that they have "tree" allegations against me and if I don't do something about it they will have to arrest me.   He started telling me all my personal information and at that point i said file then i am not giving you any information on the phone.   He called back and left a long message stating that if they receive one more complaint against me they will have no choice but to send the Ohio State police department after me to come arrest me.  There number does not even register on my phone that they are calling me, they have a great scam and use it to scare people into giving them money whether you owe it or not.  This matter was taken care of but yet they are still harassing people.   Whatever you do, GIVE THEM NO INFORMATION!  Not even from our country!!!!

Section 809 of the FDCPA http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre27.pdf requires 3rd-party debt collectors to give debtors written notice of debt (the key word is *shall*) :
"§ 809. Validation of debts
(a) Within five days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt, a debt collector shall, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer a written notice containing?
(1) the amount of the debt;

(3) a statement that unless the consumer, within thirty days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed to be valid by the debt collector;

Keep getting this phone call stating he's calling from a law firm about a pending lawsuit. Then threatened to have me arrested. They are now calling my place of work

I receive a message the other day. My daughter had heard the message saying if I didn't get in touch with him I would be arrested. I called the number back when I got home and left a message. I called back the next day and spoke with Nick Winehouse. He said i had to pay $2000 today or in payments which would add up to over $4000. Told him I didn't have that and he agreed that if I came up with $300 that would stop any pending actions against me. He ask if I could have it by the next day and I said yes. That night when I got home I was thinking about this. Just didn't make since. So I google his name and came across this website. After reading it I called him back and left a message saying that I wanted in written who I owe and how much I owe. Told him if I don't get that I will be filing a complaint against him. So I will see if I will get any more calls from him.

This same number has called my house and my mothers phone saying the same thing, as everyone else, everytime this guy calls he gives me a different name and it is the same guy everytime

I received threating calls from this number they did scam me out of some money reassuring me they would send documentation and never did . I received a call first from 911 stating that I was under investigation for internet fraud and needed to contact this number, which I found to be odd.  I called the number and it was what appeared to be the same person on the phone and he said that I was issued a loan in Jan 2013 and didn't repay it.  I applied for a loan but after receiving about 30 calls behind one application I never followed through with the loan and that was just two weeks ago I applied. The man was trying to get me to verify my SS# and DOB but I refused so he told me to keep doing me cause he was going to make sure I got arrested for fraud.

I actually thought this was quite hilarious. An investigator James Kennedy with a heavy Indian accent calling me to say Im being arrested. I didn't know this was new police policy, to call you before your being arrested. I just laughed at him then started messing with him. Kinda made my day actually

Informed them I knew it was a scam and that it is illegal to impersonate a member of law enforcement and that I wanted their name, company, city, and country as I was filing charges for fraud and telephone harassment. They hung up on me. Will be filing a report as they called me at work today to and told human resource that they were sending an officer to arrest me.  Hope they get caught.
