Got the call from them. Did not pickup. Called back. Not in service.

my vehicle is 17 yrs old, and they was calling me about the warrenty was ready to expire, i asked the woman on the phone, how do you put a warrenty on a 17 yr. old vehicle, guess what, she couldnt answer my question.

These idiots just called here, too, & my Caller ID said "SCOTT BUTLER".  So here's the deal: I DON'T KNOW ANYONE NAMED "SCOTT BUTLER", & MY CAR IS 16 YEARS OLD; SO WHOEVER IS CALLING FROM THIS NUMBER 410-394-0606, PLEASE PAY ATTENTION: WE ARE ON THE FEDERAL "NO-CALL" LIST.  THIS MEANS YOU ARE BREAKING FEDERAL LAW WHEN YOU CALL HERE!  WISE UP OR WE'LL GET THE FEDS ON YOUR CASE -- YOU WON'T LIKE THAT, BELIEVE ME.

OK, I got info on these car-warranty-expired-scam people, after talking to one of their

representatives.  They are VSI, Vehicle Services Inc, and their website is

http://vsiwarranty.com.

That website gives their real phone numbers as 636-447-0158, 866-925-1783 (sales) and

866-315-1555 (customer service)  The 636 area code would place them in east central Missouri

near (but not including) St. Louis, according to Wikipedia.  

Their fax number is 636-441-1604.

I just got it too, but didn't answer it.  I'm guessing its one of those pre-recorded messages about your "car warrany" that I've been getting. It says my car's warranty is getting ready to expire and I need renew with them.....  even though my car is 12 years old.

I googled the number and it said it belonged to a Scott and Terry Butler from Maryland. I didn't call the number back though.

Received call at 1:32 pm on a Thursday.

Didn't know the number so I waited for it to stop ringing and called from a work phone.

It has a pre-recorded message that the number is "no longer in service and no futher information is available at this time."

called back but number disconnected.
