Called me at 10:45 Central time, no voicemail, nothing.....

yeah they called me saying they were publisher's clearing house and about a contest for $25000, a new Mustang GT, or some vacation stuff. they said that all they needed was for me to do this interview thing for credit cards and to subscribe to a couple different magazines who were their "sponsors".. i liked all the magazines they presented so i subscribed LIKE A DUMBASS!! I was driving to do some stuff for college and was more focused on what i was doing than what they were saying. So they managed to get my credit card # out of me and took $40 out of my account. and it's only been like 1 day but i'm pretty sure that there's no contest and no magazine subscription.

I have recieved several phone calls from this number, each time it sounds like dead air on the other line and then hangs up. I tried calling the number back a couple times and it says the number I dialed doesn't exist on a machine. I think its probably a machine calling service & possibly a scam. According to the above comment it could be a scam to get credit card info (but maybe the calling machine has gone haywire?).  Anyway, I also recieved the same type of calls from 402-982-0484, 616-980-1150, and just this morning 803-549-6515. I got on a consumer report website for scams last night and reported these numbers.

Always calling me while i'm in a meeting or class. Does not leave a message.

the number has called me three times today and nobody was on the other line

I got a call from the 410 number and when i answered no one said anything back... i looked up the area code and saw it was from MD... im in IL... it really creeped me out

this number has called my phone twice today and I answered both times because my grandfathers number is 410... and I thought it was him, when I answered the phone and said hello, no one answered.

I want to know who this is that keeps calling me and not leaving a voicemail or anything?

called me at 2:45 pm i didn't answer because i didn't recognize it.

Called me at 1:39 pm. Ignored the call because I didn't recognize it.

Called me at 9:35, was asleep, so missed the call.

Called me at 9:45am with no voicemail either. Must be a telemarketer.

Called 10AM Central time on 9/21/09. No voicemail, seems to be out of Baltimore (I'm in ND...)

They say they are a promotional company and that you won this $1000 online shopping spree. I said I wasn't interested and she said that there was no obligation to buy anything from them and then was asking about a visa card. I told her to take me off their calling list and she hung up on me. Maybe about an hour later I got the same phone call from a different number 423-317-8519.

I getting a charges  on my CC every month what I did't order I don't know nothing about it. It is a 1866-940-7364 numb wich one never able to rich. I can't cancel any membership if it was  stablised.

I got 3 calls from this number today. I live in georgia. I called back and it rang like 8 times and then a voice came on like a recorded voice saying that the code or number I dialed was invalid, weird so on the third time it called since I was off work I answered it and they hung up and I immediately called back and it only rang 3 times before the voice machine robot thing came on. very weird.

I just got a call from this number. Since Friday, I kept getting calls from

as well. Once one of them stops, the other one starts calling. I think they all belong to the same scam artists.

When 623-239-4511 started calling on Friday,  I didn't answer any of the calls because I thought that should be a scam. Yes it was! I searched the number from google and found a lot of complaints about this number. As soon as I learnt that I checked my bank account and saw 9 unauthorized activities on my account. The transactions look like from the following places:

netflix.com, premierwhitening.com, vibrantbeauty.com, colonetwork.com, click and buy london, tmobile.com payment 800-937-8997 WA, mycredithealth.com, xtremeberry, acaiberrypowershop

the charges range between $0.99 to $5.49.

I immediately called my customer service to cancel my debit card and was able to close the account before it got worse.

If you are called from this number, DO NOT ANSWER and go ahead and check your accounts. If there is a suspicious activity, close your account or put a fraud alert.

It is so annoying that they know my number as well, this might not be it. They might also know my SSN, which can cause more problems. To avoid that I think it is a good idea to put fraud alert with one of the credit companies, transunion, equifax or experian.

Don't let this scam artist to rip you off!
