A collection agency? Or a flat out scam? it seems like from the posts these people are pretty sketchy and are most certainly breaking the law. Here's my issue, if you are trying to collect a debt from me and I'm working with you and making my payments and you send it to collections anyway I will not pay you any further on the debt. The fact of the matter is due to medical bills my credit is completely destroyed. So what do I care whether I pay you or not? I received this call today and didn't answer it and they didn't leave me a message. the funny part is that now that I see who they are I'm simply going to stroll on over to my cell carriers website and block their number before they even have the chance to harass me to death. all my medical bills are being paid to the people to whom they are a Owed. if you don't like it, then stop purchasing dEbts for pennies on the dollar, and then expecting to collect in full with me. learn how to do business within the law, and act respectively. Until then I consider debt collectors to be sub human and they will be treated accordingly. have a real nice day now! ;)

This woman asked for me and wanted to know my birthday and last 4 of my ssn-I asked what this was about and she said it was a personal business matter. I wouldn't give her my ssn and she said if she gave me the first three I could give her the last 4.I asked what this was about again and she gave me her name and she was from DCI salisbury for a personal business matter. I told her that still didn't tell me what this was about, and I wasn't giving her my ssn.She said "I gave you my name and who I work for." And again said she needed the last four digits of my ssn . She said this was required to talk to me. I told her I wasn't giving her my last 4 numbers if she wouldn't tall me what this was about --she said she would call back another time. I don't care how many times they call, if they don't tell me what it's about I'm not speaking to them. When they call next time I'll ask they same thing,if they don't explain I just won't answer anymore.

This is a debt collector who apparently specializes in old debts.  They keep asking for someone I've never heard of (I've had this number for several years) and promise to take me off the call list.  They never do.  I've found that they don't call as often if I swear at them.

I don't owe this. I explained, provided receipts,etc and everytime another person has to hear the whole story over again. I told them never to call me again, pursuant to "The Fair Debt Collection Act" I am Fed up. It is for my old direct Tv acct. I paid them but they messed up their records and sent my acct to a collection agency................

These people called me 3 times during my work hours today. The first time someone named Dale answered the phone and when I asked him what company he was with the line went dead. Then a Debby answered the next time I called and said I owed money on a heart surgery that I never had and when I said they have the wrong person she "transfered me" and hung up. So I called back a third time and a very rude woman answered and when I asked who she was she asked me why I haven't paid my bill (again no idea what she was talking about) so she then asked for my phone number, I told her, and she replied with " You're not in our call list" and hung up. Yay??

They legally can not call you at work if you tell them you are not allowed to receive personal calls at work, or if there is not somewhere at your work you can take a personal call in private.
If you tell them to stop calling you at work, also mention FDCPA, which usually helps.

I ask for whom they where calling for they would not answer I informed them to have the doctor or who ever send me a bill they said that couldn't be I informed them I would not pay with out a bill. They said it will affect your credit very rudely  I informed them go ahead I have no credit at which point she hung up on me

I think they get people personal info and try to scam them, convincing people they still owe and old debt. Do not pay them, tell them you want info in writing, if you do owe then pay by money order. NEVER give out personal info.A real company wouldn't act that way. They get mad when they can't scam someone.

Thanks for all the info on this company. They keep calling my 12 year old son's cell phone. I normally don't care because I like to screw with telemarketers. I'm just afraid his cell will ring at an inappropriate time like school. Time to call someone and put a stop to this.  Thanks again fio the info! P.S. we do not have any outstanding bills.

Left a no message but years ago they called for some little med bill I was disputing and they were awful!

Follow up on my post from Nov 21, they called again today and hung up after letting it ring once, just like before. Do they do that to try and get people to call them back? I still have no idea who this is except for what I've read on this website.

They called me today but must've hung up immediately because I didn't even hear it ring once. Googling their number brought me here and I see someone post that they collect on medical bills so I guess that kind of makes sense since I owe a lot of money on medical bills due to breaking my leg without insurance. The only thing that doesn't make sense is that I'm up to date on my monthly bills. If they call again I'll see what they say but I'm definitely not paying them a penny after what I've read on here.

This company called today about "personal business" When they told me who they were looking for, and I told them nobody was here by that name, they hung up on me.......they didn't even announce themselves as to who they were, or why they were calling. When I called them back, I asked what type of company it was, she asked me what my phone # was, and I told her.....she then asked me if a "Kenneth" lived here, when I told her no.......she rudely said "Don't worry about why we are calling, it's none of your business" then she hung up on me.   Also, when I had called her back, when she answered the phone, she did not say a company name, just "hello"................VERY VERY ignorant and un-professional!!!!!!!!!!!!

They called my mother in law house and asked for my wife, when she said she wasn't there and wouldn't be home until after six pm. Then they started asking about birthdays. They had my mother in law's birthday down as my wife's. Then they told her the amount of the debt which is against the law to tell anyone other the the person who owes the debit. I'm filing a complaint against them.

i dont answer after reading numerous posts and reports about this scam. i cant understand how they are allowed to continue this with various systems in place to prevent it.I finally answered once to ask them about their company and they wouldnt talk to me.....they insisted on talking to my mother who lived with us until her deat 4 years ago. i told them to hold while went to get her and hung up.

I used to work for DCI in Salisbury and I can tell all of you that the debt collectors are trained to be very nasty by specifically, the vice president. He'd walk by, hear one of the employees harassing someone on the phone and give them a thumbs-up. They also never use their real names.

Just got a call on a brand new cell number and when I picked up they hung up.  I called back from a blocked number and brad answered. I had to ask where I was calling.  Hope that was a one time call.

Very rude collection agency. They were looking for my son who is a Jr. & my husband is Sr. Went and called my husbands cell phone (not sure how they got that number), then went to his place of employment to serve him papers. They need to make sure they have the right person before embarrassing the wrong people and jepordizing their job and also make sure they have the correct phone number for the person they're trying to get ahold of before leaving rude messages on the wrong persons cell phone. I told them I was going to contact someone to see what could be done about them harassing the wrong people and also giving out personal information about my son to the wrong person. now they just called my cell phone and left a message saying they were calling for someone else. My cell phone is private and once again I don't know how they got my cell number, but they need to get their information correct before contacting anyone.

Never give your credit card numbers or other personal information over the phone to someone who calls you.  Even if this agency is legit, they should have your name and address on file.  Always ask them to send you a detailed bill through U.S. mail, and that you will respond once you have something in writing.  Seems like many healthcare providers are hiring very aggressive collection agencies these days, but don't let anyone making a collection call talk you into paying for something by credit card over the phone.  The agencies are required by law to provide you with an explanation of the amount owed in writing if you request it.

These people called me once every couple days, until I called back. Then they asked me if I was some other person, I said no, and they said they took me off there caller list, and I neverheard from them ever agian.

SCAM!!!   They claim to be debt collectors, but they can not provide any information regarding what they are collecting for.  They are very pushy and try to get personal info out of you.  I'm not giving my B-date or address, let alone SSN or Credit Card # to a stranger who calls out of the blue, claiming to collect a medical debt.  FYI I have called the hospital where I did a have surgery done a year ago, and everything is paid in full.  I need to call them back and see if they're records have been comprimised.  But the fact that they call me and can't give me any info unless I give them my info first is a pretty good sign of a scam.

I am not a coward and I did pick up the phone, the call was not for me and thy keep calling. I dont know the person thy are calling for and thy will not stop calling. So now what since you seem to talk so BIG !

This person keeps calling my cell from 410-546-3005 looking for lamar Jones, I keep telling them thy have the wrong number but thy keep calling. If anyone knows this lamar Jones please tell him thy are looking for him and call them please. This is getting old!

This caller left no voicemail. I called back from the displayed number left on my caller ID; the caller just answered the phone as 'This is Ms Jones.' I hung up and called again, where another caller answer the phone as 'This is Mr Kirk'.  They do not indicate what business they are calling with whatsoever.
