got this call saying they were from honeywell security systems asking if we had an alarm. i think it was a female caller...caller id said chris p. i called the police and they are looking into this...the cop came in and read this and the other complaint pages about this number and will get back to us. has anyone had a break in after getting these calls?

this person called my phone when i answered it no one said anything i called it back and i got a voicemail thats not accepting messages

This A-hole calls at least once  day and when I pick up he doesn't say anything. When I try to call back I get a mail stating it is not set up. I tried texting it also to tell him to back off but no luck. the name is CHRIS P

We just received the same Honeywell security call.  The female caller asked me by name whether we had our panel serviced recently in the past 6 months.  I played dumb asking for some clarity. She explained that these are the panels often used by ADT, Brinks, etc.  I told her that a matter of fact we did have ADT service our system but only the window connectors needed replacing.  She promptly ended the call.  We called the number (317-286-2091) back; it was a ghost line. ADT customer service noted that it might be a solicitation call; I feel otherwise. We are considering calling the police as others here have.

Hi everyone.  I regret to say that 2 days after we switched our phone service to Comcast our phone number was spoofed. At the time, I didn't even know what "spoofing" was.  I googled it and learned that anyone can "use" your phone number when calling from another (anonymous) phone number and "push" your number with a fake name out on the caller id.  So whoever "spoofed" our phone number (410-997-2295) was using it to make these incredibly annoying calls at all times of day or night and including "Chris P" on the caller id.  As a result, for over a year we've been getting many calls, understandably, by very frustrated people, calling our house thinking we were doing it.  Of course, we were not and I would try to explain to them what was happening.  I suppose we could have changed our phone number to avoid the calls that we were getting but that wouldn't have stopped the "spoofer" from using it.  We've had that phone number for over 15 years and didn't want to go through all the trouble of getting a new one.  It seems that this "spoofer" must have moved on to a new number as we haven't received any calls lately.  I apologize to all of you who have been bothered by this person.  I don't understand what his/her intent is beyond being a true annoyance.

I have had both calls; the one that says Chris P on the caller ID -- several times a day, and..a woman who said she was calling from Honeywell security.  I think this is bad news -- and the police should definitely be following up.

I've gotten this call SEVERAL times, even since I moved. The number goes straight to voicemail when you call it back.

Getting the same thing - Honeywell Security; also called back using an Upper Marlboro, MD number.  I answered - told the woman I had two pit bulls, I didn't need a security system.
