I received a call and just like Michael use Golden Rule; I called GR direct and they had no record of any call being made to me from the claims/benefits or the admin depart.  Administration had no record of the 412 # or the 855# as one of their automated generated numbers they used.

I did call the 855# back but it requires to have the # called entered via keypad.  I did not do so (calling from a different line) and it disconnects if you don't provide the # they called you at.

I got a call from 412-315-0166, that was the number in the caller ID window, and it said "Golden Rule" in the window as well. The message said it was purportedly from Golden Rule Ins. Co with a call back number of 855-213-8970.

I have Golden Rule Health Insurance, so I called their client services dept. and neither number has anything to do with Golden Rule Insurance Company. So BEWARE, these scammers are getting more sophisticated every day. REMEMBER, it's impossible to be TOO CAREFUL these days.

Guard your personal information like it was gold bullion, because for a scammer, it is!!!

I also received a VM from the automated system.  I do use Golden Rule for my health insurance so it seems legit.  However, when I called back all I got was a busy signal...

I did get a message from this number.  It was an automated system asking if I was available to take the call.  The voice said was calling from Golden Rule Insurance (United Healthcare's Student program, I think, but it is a real company). The call back number they gave was 1 855 213 8970.
