Called them back and was prompted to leave them  message. I left a pretty one. I get calls all day long from them. Personally seeing that I don't give my number out or even link it to fb or e-mail account they need to start paying me for my time when they call.

Received several calls from 412-430-5625, no message. I don't think the do not call list works very well.

What does the 'R' in RNC stand for? Really Not Call? Rather Not Call? Is it something like the Do Now Call or the Do New Call list? Or are you just a typical hate-filled Obama/Pelosi liberal who hates everyone who doesn't think like you?

My cellphone indicated it was from PA, USA...do not generally answer numbers I do not recognize. I just re-register my number on the do not call registry. Strange though I received three calls back to back all from different areas.

Ironically, a lot of these annoying callers use burner cells and google numbers to disguise their activities.
So they ARE paying for it.
That's why I often call them back (after using *67 to mask my phone number) and harass them a few dozen times. LOL!

If you waste a bunch of their time, they can't dial out as many times in a day! ;)

You are posting on a public forum where other people can report harassing phone calls, too.
ALWAYS try to provide more information about the caller when you leave a post here.

You might want to register your number(s) with the National Do Not Call Registry.
You might also want to report the calls using the forms on this website:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-national-do-not-call-registry

Personally, I find the DNC list to be a joke, and rely on a blocking program on my home and cell phones.
Several other posts here have suggested buying blocking boxes or programs that work well. It's up to you if you want to spend the money. Most modern phones allow you to "Auto-Reject" up to 20-100 numbers (depending on the model of phone...even cell phones!). Check if your phone allows you to reject a call.

HTH!

We should set it up so when someone calls our cell phone numbers they have to pay the minutes usage. Are cell phone should be protected against solicitations. I guarantee if they had to pay for the usage of a cell phone they would stop soliciting our cell phone numbers

There's no need to spend $100 on a Digitone device to block calls as there are many less expensive options. Even some free ones.

If you are interested in replacing/upgrading your phone many are now available with blocking features and the ability to block a lot of numbers.

The T-lock Incoming PRO Call Blocker sells for under 60 bucks on Amazon and can block up to 1500 numbers.

You can set up a Google phone account for free (with easily configurable call blocking) and get your home calls forwarded there.

If you have a home office or just have a home computer on most of the time Phone Tray Free software (Google it) may work for you. As the name implies, it's free.
Thank goodness for Digitone

Although Digitone blocks only 80 calls or area codes. which in today's time is not enough, you have the option to block all incoming calls and only program in the numbers which you wish to receive calls from. You are allowed to program in 60 numbers.  By doing this, you do not have to worry about blocking only 80 numbers (all callers will be blocked until invited by you)  Its really been a godsend and would recommend it to everyone

Receiving too many calls like this.  When I called back the number, it didn't even ring.  I'm tired of having MY privacy invaded with unwanted phone calls.  I put up with this, during the election, but the election is over.....

412-430-5524 and 412-430-5549 - I've seen these numbers on our Caller ID before (R2J2 Company), usually from calls after our business is closed for the day, but there's never been a voice-mail left. Just now a woman named Kate called my business from this same number. She asked 'May I speak to the owner?' Before I informed her that I am the owner, I inquired with 'May I ask who is calling please?' Her response was 'This is Kate from the bank.' Our business lines are, and have always been, on the DNC list. Plus, there is NO Kate working at the bank we use. We also have no prior business with this company that is calling us, nor do we need or require their more than likely fraudulent high interest rate loan services. After informing her that I am in fact the owner, she proceeds to ask me 'Are you the owner?' I could have sworn that I just informed her that I was the owner. Clearly she's a few marbles short in her sack. She then tries to go into a little spiel, and at that point I have to interrupt and inform her to 'Please remove our number from your calling list, and we will be reporting this call and any future calls from, your company as illegal and they will be deemed as harassment.' She then hung up. Guess it's time to file that FCC.gov formal complaint against them.

These scammers are knowingly breaking the law, they use spoofed numbers that are too difficult to track, one gets shut down and they just purchase another. The only way to stop them is to have online businesses that sell spoofed numbers with no questions asked to be shut down or at least have the purchaser fax over picture ID confirming legit purchaser and then authorities would have a place to start looking to put scammers out of business.

We have a DIGITONE call blocker which can block up to eighty numbers/area codes. We have now had it about two months and we have put about thirty separate area codes in it from unsolicited callers. DNCL has been a joke for a long time. The number you do not want calling will come through the ONE time until you put it in the blocker and then NO MORE! Best $100 we've ever spent. We can see a list of all the calls that were UNABLE to interrupt what should be OUR peaceful home!
Still, I fear that eighty area codes won't even be enough! Sometimes the phone calls from the same scam will change area codes and in it comes again until entered again....Still, you can INVITE calls which you need to come in at all hours and so on. Best money ever spent. I love clicking down through the list at the end of the day to see all the disconnected calls! Laugh is on them!
R2J2 is supposedly a class action lawsuit concerning women for something....Right!

Filed a complaint with the FTC and the PA Attorney Generals office.. got this response from PA:

Do Not Call complaints should be reported to the state in which you are registered on a DNC list.  Additionally, you can submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov.  The business or telemarketer associated to the number reported on this complaint has not been identified.  Technology has enabled manipulation of what appears on your caller ID unit and does not necessarily reflect the source of the call.
