THE LATEST SCAM FROM THE BUYERS OF OLD DEBTS (LEGALLY UNCOLLECTABLE DUE TO THE STATUE OF LIMITATIONS), IS TO CALL AND SPEAK WITH YOU...  IF THEY CAN SHOW A COURT, THEIR PHONE RECORDS SHOWING THEY HAD  (IN FACT) SPOKEN WITH YOU,
ALL THEY NEED TO DO THEN- TO RESURRECT THE OLD DEBT, AND RESTART THE STATUE CLOCK, IS SWEAR THAT YOU MADE A PROMISE TO PAY.. OF COURSE THAT WOULD BE A LIE..  TRY AND GET THE RULING REVERSED..????????.  THEY NOW CAN LEGALLY HARRASS YOU FOR THE NEXT 3-5 YEARS, ON A DEBT THAT WAS LEGALLY A DEAD ISSUE...
DON'T SPEAK TO ANY OF THESE BOTTOM FEEDERS...  IT'S ALL A SCAM

This number is owned by a call center near Brownsville, PA.  It is for CallTech Communications.  It's a number in use for Davis & Davis law firm's account.  This law firm has obviously been accepting credit collections orders that have little or no supporting documentation.  I would allege the firm has questionable ties to the local county judiciary that should be investigated, however, I am not a citizen there.  Also, I would ignore the calls.  -NONE OF THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN VERIFIED, USE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION-

I get calls all the time and if they know who they are calling let them document through letters as I don't answer to people I don't know and will not answer the phone as I see these calls as harassment and thats so illegal so as far as I am concerned they need to desist from calling today.

Got a call from them this afternoon looking for my husband's ex wife. They've been divorced for almost 13 years now, so I have no idea how they got our number. Gave them HER phone number, have not heard back from them yet.

Can't speak for those who actually owe these folks money, but when they were mistakenly calling my new cell phone number to collect on the old owner's debt it was no problem to make it stop.

Called them back, responder from the call center was very polite and removed my number from their lists.

These people need to get real they call everyday and never listen to anything that I tell them and try to talk to them about what is going on and they lie and are very rude and very hatefull with me and they call when they are not aload to call in my state and it is wrong and need's to stop! I asked for the phone # for the people that they say they are trying to collect for and they just gave me a # for a realestate place and I have had enough so I am getting a lawyer to stop them from calling me along with pressing charges against them for calling all hours of the day and night when they are not alowd to call! people need to take a stand against these people and not back down from them at all!

Yes, they will give you a settlement.  I dealt with them, and did a settlement agreement.  Also, if you own property, yes, this puts a lien on your property (I work in the title industry).  If you're that concerned, contact a layer to assist.

obviously john works for an agency himself more than likely for this one place everyone is talking about. collection agency are known to be a***oles and as money hungry as the a***oles that sold the debt to them or hiring them. Take your sweet time paying it people tell them you can only give them $1.50 a month take it or leave it. the money hungry jack*** banks gives out money knowingly that people will default so they can have you in the hole forever. then what do they do after people cant keep up with payments that they know before you even sign the loan papers? get bailout money from our tax dollars????? that is suppose to make it easier to lend money and losen up their belts. but what do they do after they take our tax money????? they lower our spending limits for no reason and make it harder to get loans???? sooo...us as a consumer get bent over long enough by ceo's, banks and oil producers(demand for gas is down and prices are rising back up again???)   that is why people, we have been taking it from behind long enough. its time you stand up for yourself and stick it to their a***s.
so when they call and tell you they are "attornies, collectors, or law enforcement officer-impersonator trying to scare you into paying." tell them to collect it from you in hell, or if your really nice pay them $1.50 a month.  because the fact is people when it reaches into collection status it is a blemish on your credit history. so screw them before they screw you.

"Just pay your bills" ...well sometimes people get into situations where they don't have the money to eat much less pay an old credit card bill that has tripled because of the fees that have been applied.

Bill collectors also threaten you. I live in Texas and no one can garnish your paycheck except the United States Government or the State of Texas. And I don't know how many times I have been threatened that would be contacting my employer.

I haven't had a "nice" bill collector call me yet. They are not trained to be "nice"...so that's a big fat joke.

They can call me all they want. I either hang up on them, tell them I am aware of the debt and have not means of paying it and have not intentions of paying any time soon and to proceed with the "next step" whatever that might be. But, they continue to call sometimes 4 and 5 times in a row.

They don't bother me though because I know my rights.

Sounds like John either works for this company or another collection agency as his reply is simply untrue. Dont let collection agencies use scare tactics on you. If they continue to make annoying calls you can file a complaint with the FTC. You can do this online at:

Wow. What a feeble attempt to try and legitimize yourselves.

1) People need to consult the FDCPA and learn their rights.
This is the FIRST thing you should be telling people.
But you can't as that works against you and for the alleged debtor.
You wouldn't want that now would you. This proves you are a shill.

2) They will not give you a settlement. You already know this and are lying.
They are trying to lure the alleged debtor into paying something before the alleged debtor makes them validate it as per the alleged debtor's rights. A payment would then open the door for the bottomfeeder such as yourself to take them to court and sue as the statute of limitations has now been reset.

3) If they already had 'liens' against you, why would they need to work out a settlement?
It's just not going to happen.
They would just collect the full amount whenever the collatoral for the lien got sold.

4) They do not get 'liens' against you. They get a judgment. The alleged debtor must be properly served to appear in court before that can happen. The alleged debt must also be within your state's statutue of limitations for them to sue without getting in major trouble should this be used as a defense.

They are a LAW FIRM beware they will file suit on you!!! They have 2 liens againest me. I would strongly suggest that you pay them. They are ligite. They did work with me and give me a settlement on one account. My suggestion is to call and try to work out your accounts, they are pretty easy to deal with compaired to other creditor and agencies I dealt with.

you pay debts that are not yours?  You must work for the federal government. When they call my 12yr. old daughter's prepaid cell phone they are asking for someone else and I have called them MANY times to explain. Collection agencies should be outlawed or at least more regulated

Leaves messages several times a day for someone I've never heard of.  Claims to be "Davis Davis Attorneys" but is apparently actually a collection agency.  Seems to be related to 412-489-1390, also in this database.  Calls outside of allowed hours in my time zone.
