Received a call from 412-567-9289, Alpha Recovery. Looked up on net, classifyong it as a "collection agency." I don't owe anything to anybody and haven't for years.

Received a call @ 7:33pm, March 20, 2012.  I spoke with a male going by the name of "Jerry Williams" (who sounded as though he had cotton in his cheeks).  When he said the name he was using, he then proceeded to tell me that this was an attempt to collect a debt (paraphrasing) that I had refused to pay.  He seemed mildly hostile from the very beginning of the call, & continued, after informing me that the call was being recorded, to tell me that he was calling for his client regarding a credit card bill that I "refused" to pay.  I told him that the reason that it hadn't been paid was because a payment plan that I could actually work with hadn't been come up with yet, & that I wasn't refusing to pay it, just simply unable to.  After telling me when the last record of payment was made, I told him that I had made payments after that & although they didn't amount to much, I did attempt to make payments & actually had proof of the payments.  As he had interrupted me during the course of the call, I began interrupting him.  He told me that I could say whatever I wanted, but he had records stating when the last payment was made & whatever.  Then towards the end of the conversation, he told me he was going to put whatever he wanted in his report regarding my "refusal" to pay & that the conversation was being recorded (which he said repeatedly); I told him that since the conversation was being recorded, that I was going on record to say that it wasn't a "refusal" to pay the bill, but an inability to pay it since I couldn't afford it.  He hung up on me.
