Get call from this number every day, tried calling back, number has been disconnected....then why are they calling me?

called asked for me, said I was not here, mainly because I didn't have my glasses on to see the number.  But, as soon as I said that they hung up.  No idea who it is, but did find out it is a J. Betz out of Milwaukee.  I have no idea.

Calls all the time -- I agree with Dori's earlier post: a big pain.  I know that some numbers can be manipulated so that an out of area number looks like it's local -- we don't trust it, and I wonder if anyone has info as to how to complain.  FCC?

Called about Veterans coming home. I asked him where he was calling from and he hung up.

We continually get calls from 414.273.8069 with the caller ID J. Betz.  However, the calls are for different charities every time.  Last time it was Disabled American Vets and this time they were raising money for Firefighters Training.  I told them they appeared to not be legit and asked to get off the list.  

This has happened to me before with a different 414# and the caller ID R. Kuehn.  We got at least 3 or 4 calls from that number - all for different charities.  Seems suspicious.

some jack*ss claiming to be from the vietnam vet assoc.  told him the people was looking for died a couple of months ago.  doubt if that will get me off the list, but i tried.

asked for carol. when she got to the phone the caller had hung up. We did a *69, and got a recording saying unable to connect to this long distance number.

Calls unknown and a big pain.

Last thing-calling the number back gets you the same "This number has been disconnected" message as 414-354-9561. Definitely not a safe number.

Worth noting: The address a reverse lookup shows is 2330 N Prospect, but when you Google that address, it's actually a retirement home (Milwaukee Catholic Home), and all of the numbers in that area begin with 224, not 273. This is a dubious number given this information.

Received a call, asking for the man of the house by name. This call follows screaming into the ears of a caller from 414-354-9561 (who calls asking for money for various "charities"). Not thoroughly convinced this is a scam number or anything. And an address search brings up the homeowner as "J. Betz" so Jim seems to be a fitting name.

asked for husband by first name.  When asked to take message said to call Jim.  Received other calls from same area code, 3 different numbers total
