Called and left a message saying they wanted to talk about my credit card with them and they had a lower rate available. I don't even have a credit card for one and I just got home phone service and only 3 people even have my number.

Pressed 1 and a pleasant voice answered and I immediately asked her why she was calling a number on the do not call list. She responded by telling me she was not asking for money. I responded that this number was not to be called by anyone "randomly." She told me she hoped I had a better day and hung up.
Probably a call from the same type ambulance chaser that advertises on TV.

Well, since telemarketing/survey/charity calls to cell phones are illegal, you can be pretty much assured they are scammers.

You can't remove yourself from a robo call lit no matter what they say.
Just answering the phone tells them it is a viable reachable number,
and your number will be sold on a list to other robo callers.

Number has called both land and cell numbers of my family and many friends. Most often silence,  if answered,  sometimes static, and once a survey for medication use (though most questions were non-medical, some credit / education background ). The number and rate of calls increase once answered.
Don't answer, be happy.

The number shows up weekly. no message probably a computer generated call.... this is on a cell phone!!!

Received a call from 414-877-1409, rang once and stopped.  I believe it stopped because my number is on the state of Wisconsin Do Not Call List...  Finally, something government does that works!

An automated system was trying to collect info on use of birth control and antidepressant drugs. I tried to get to a live person to get myself out of the list but there is no such option. These calls kill me as I pay per minute for my cell phone

Missed call and no message. I called back and it's asking for me to take a survey. It gave me an option to remove myself from future phone calls.

Yes, it's common sense to not answer if you don't recognize the number. But when you have elderly parents living in other states, you can't always go by what number you recognize. Especially if they have Alzheimer's/dementia. That's why you check here! ^_^

I picked the phone up and it sounded like a high pitch noise then it hung up and silence. Don't know it was just wierd
