I've just received one today from a woman with heavy Asian accent. She gave me the phone number which was also the same area code (415). I guess the these idiots have nothing better to do with their life so be the scammers. Watch out for this number also people (415) 215-8080. I know it'd be scam.These idiots should be arrested.

So pissed that this scam crap happens. They keep targeting my husband. Guy with Indian accent, barely legible, saying that they found a delinquency in my husband's taxes and he needs to contact them immediately before legal action is taken. 1- I do the taxes and I know there's no damn delinquency 2-I know the way the IRS works and it's not like this and for some other reasons I know this is a scam as if it was real they would contact me as my name is head of household. Jerk Offs!

I received the call from the same number. I can barely understand what the guy is saying. I called and it is a Magic Jack number. Complete FRAUD.

A Good call blocker is maybe your  best bet.

This is unbelievable! The above scenarios are very similar to mine and they had some of my background information! Can anyone recommend a trustworthy "LifeLock" type service that can protect me from this BS?

I got a voicemail message from "James Anderson of the IRS Litigation Dept" warning me "not to ignore this call."  Tried to call back, got the message that his voice mailbox was full.  Am glad I checked this out and discovered it is a scam.  Go get 'em!!

Caller says he is from IRS and and a tax case is filed againest me . Called back the number and he gives me an IRS identification number  of 9001129970. I did nit believe him and realized it was a phone scam  

Got the same message when I called back that number 4152513769 to speak with James Anderso. Can't leave message even though he said its the irs.....same INDIAN ACCENT....SCAM ALL AROUND

I had a message from this number in my voice mail. This guy had a Scandinavian accent. Half of what he said was unintelligible. I'm on the Do Not Call list, but what good does that do?
He said something about avoiding litigation and tax liability. As I said, it was quite garbled.
(I'm depicting this as a "Prank Call", but it's a SCAM, however there's no such category.)

Got following VM from very heavy Indian accented gentleman "This message is intended for Bob. Bob,  the very second you receive this message I need you or your retained attorney off racket to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Sammy Taylor from tax litigation Department and hotline to my division is 4152513769. I repeat it's 4152513769. Don't try to disregard this message and do return the call as soon as possible before any legal action takes place. We have to meet due to a slight difficiency of your income tax. Your reference number is 675383. I repeat it it's 6753830 goodbye and take care."

I just got a call a few mins ago i think this sicko belongs in the  ZOO.

Just got a call and Voice message of some with indian accents calling from IRS.

Got the same as all stated above but he asked me for my attorney name and number too. Heavy Indian accent. Told me to call detective Michael Carter @ 415-251-3769 gave me his name as Sean De Paul  and a case file#...What a joke. REMEMBER THE IRS DOES NOT CALL TAX PAYERS.

I got call from 415-25103769 and they are claiming to be IRS.. Not sure is this a IRS number or scam

Same thing as the rest, threatened to have my wife arrested for some sort of income tax fraud, wanted to know my lawer and fax number, when I asked him for info, none.  Just insisted she was going to jail unless I resolved this now.  After many minutes of playing dump and asking questions, he got mad and hung up.  Scammers all the way.  Reported this to the Irs, they know about it as well as the federal communications people.  They are from overseas and hard to track was the answer I got.

I received a call from same phone and he said his name was Dave Smith from IRS. I thought no one calls from IRS and
first they send you a written notice and they won't call you.

I received 2 calls from this number claiming to be IRS and that my husband would be arrested if we didn't call back. This needs to be stopped

Got a phone call from a person claiming to be an IRS agent. Justin Johnson had an heavy Indian accent, said that he was from the IRS San Francisco office. Claimed there was a mi-calculation of taxes due. Had me write down a case number 658730. Threatened a lawsuit. SCAM. Impersonation  of a federal agent is a crime.

In Sept 2013, these same b*****ds succeeded in chaeting (USD 4,000) an elderly Indian lady (homemaker) in DE, USA who had been recently widowed and was rather vulnerable.  They asked her to wire the funds immediately via WU, or else would be arrested.  Unfortunately the ladey fell for it and departed with her money to these scammers.

I got the same call allegedly from Michael Carter of IRS from 415-251-3769 even with a reference number and asking me to pay $7,000 immediately or else I would be arrested. I knew it was a fraud So, I called them back and turned out to be B_S_A_D with Indian accent.   So, I gave him some choicest Indian curses involving his mother, sister and daughter, and told him if he F_C_E_ with me again, I will report to FBI.

Just got a call from a guy with a foreign accent. They claimed to be calling from IRS & they informed me that I have problem & court case IRS. "Did you receive the mail from IRS". I asked his name & he said his name is Sami Doylor. He asked me to write the name & tel# of the investigating officer of IRS & asked me to call him. These are scammer. Interestingly, when I called number it has recorded number saying "internal revenue service". FBI should investigate them.

I got a call from (415) 251-3769 today (Sat 2/22) as well. My mother gave me the message and I knew it was a scam. "Justin Johnson" from the IRS wanted to discuss my tax return.
Out of curiosity I called back and got a voice-mail message.
Scam clue #1: An unprofessional message also with an Indian accent and poor quality recording.
Scam clue #2: The IRS not having a world of prompts to navigate through? Odd
Scam clue #3: IRS calling on a Saturday? Yea ok

We got a call from 415-251-3769 the "IRS" man said, "That charges had been brought against me." and then I was required to get a lawyer. He was super hard to understand and when I asked to be transferred  he hung up. Unable to leave a message on the voice mail. Got a similar call on 2/22 at 8:41am Sat. from 415-251-3769,He call I hung up he called again I didn't pickup phone  He left a voicemail, telling me a tax related case number649853, and threatened of legal action, and called out loud not to disregard this message.

Just got the call from this phone number too, some guy named "Ricky Johnson" with an Indian accent just as everyone describes.  He said there was a deficiency in our income and said to call him back or legal action will be taken against me.  Pretty sure not gonna call back.
