Got a call from a differrent number (805-309-9683) but got the same results as everyone is saying. Must be a telemarketer. I didn't answer my call and they didn't leave a message. I googled the number and it's a number from Thousand Oaks Califorina, Peerless Network is the carrier for the number listed above and the owner of the number is from Security HM WCA? I will continue not to answer calls I do not know.

I got a call from that number too, but in the caller ID it shows it as Security HM WCA. When I answered I was met with a recording that I had entered their sweepstakes on walmart.com or some other retailer website to win a free security system. I never personally did so, but assumed maybe someone else in my household did, although it's unusual because we have a security system in place already.

when i pressed 1 to speak to someone, the required my first name and last name before allowing me to continue or to even find out how they got my information.

Shady...and I feel its definitely a scam!! Also a google search shows many people with the same issue.

got a call from this number early morning

This number keeps calling me at strange times and so today I remembered this website. After reading your all's comments, I simply added this number to my call reject list. I never answer calls that aren't familiar numbers or area codes, and this one definately sounds like a scam. Just goes to show you that there are a-holes in this world!

I don't answer calls from outside my area code...

I just pick up the receiver and then hang it right back up.

99.9 % of the time it is a telemarketer or a scam.

yeah just called me, I work with clients from all over the nation so I picked up and no answer, the call was disconnected, I called back and it was an  automated message asking if I would like to be removed.. had me type in my number, and then it said I was removed from some type of clearing house. Hope it worked... only time will tell.

This is a scam, and it's beginning to make me mad.  These people call me EVERY DAY on my cell phone.  Every day, and that's not an exaggeration.  I guess I'm going to have to pay to get on that no-call list.

Got AT&T cell phone for work to use as on-call.  Am getting calls DAILY from a slew of telemarketers.  Most trace back to Peerless Networks in various states.  This one was a hang up but some are automated messages.  If you press 3 to be removed, I"m sure that does, for that number and tells them they have a live one so they start with other numbers.  I'm going to ignore and if they don't stop in a month, get a new cell number.

I also thought it was a job offer..cause im an actress..but it kept calling and i was freaked out ...so i typed in the number to see if anyone else had this problem

I ignore all numbers that aren't in my address book. This number just called and did not leave a voice mail.

Yes, I'm having the same problem as everyone above! This a a cell phone that I pay as I go and only use in emergency....It is becoming a daily habit of them calling.I'm going to have to put my cell phone on a do not call list......

I just got a call from this number too.  In fact, they've called me several times and it's a recording stating that I was entered into a Walmart Sweepstakes.  But if I don't answer, it does not leave voice mail.  I have requested to be placed on the no call list but apparently it hasn't gone into effect yet.

Well, it's still calling...me an hour ago. Heard a beep while I was in the line with a sick relative and hurried off to answer this call, hung up b4 I could answer and did not leave a msg. Scumbags.

Noticed it as a "missed call" on my cellphone.  Caller had the opportunity to leave a message on my voice mail but apparently did not choose to do so.

Because I worked for several years for a political polling organization, I still have a U.S. map showing the different area codes.

When I determined that 415 was one in California, I just took it for granted that it was some kind of a scam and it was fortunate that I had not answered.
