Another security company that continues to call even though I told them to remove my number from their list.  This company is in CA and I live in FL.  If I want a security system I will contact a local company not one on the other side of the country (especially CA).  Stop calling.

I never answer their calls...they call me ten times every day. They have been doing this for over a month now. I used to be a telemarketer and I know that this is illegal. It is ridiculous that they have to harass people.

If you have an old iPhone like I do, then you can do a couple of things to ease this pain...

1. Download a silent RingTone from the App Store (this is a 5 second silent ringtone) It may cost you 99 cents.
2. Create a Contact called DO NOT ANSWER and set the ringtone to the silent ringtone with no vibrate
3. Whenever you receive a call like this, add the phone number to the DO NOT ANSWER contact and next time they call you won't be alerted.

You still have to clear them from recent calls and you may have to create multiple contacts DO NOT ANSWER 2, DO NOT ANSWER 3, etc. but they don't annoy you with alerts.

The callers still make money even if you don't answer, lookup  CNAM dipping to understand the scam.

Says SRVC. calls multiple times per day, won't leave message. If I answer they hang up. Idiots. I've only had my phone number a week and a half, God only knows who they think they are calling.

What you are doing on chat to them is exactly what your complaining about them doing, except its not really them doing it to you. Its a scam company using their name. The number they use is untraceable.

When they call back answer the phone, if someone actually talks to you, start the conversation by saying, "I am notifying you now that this call will be recorded.". Ask their name (write this all down too, a diary or journal log will hold up in court even if they don't know your doing it, but it'll hold up better if you do notify them. If you have the capability actually record the call, don't just bluff) and tell them that you wish for them to not contact you anymore because you have no interest in their product and feel harassed. Then tell them that you've spoken with your attorney and WILL press charges for harassment if you are called again. And if you are, you can sue for harassment because you notified them that you were already feeling harassed, and you have evidence to prove so (if you want to deal with all of that).

I have tried calling the company back to ask to be on the do not call list. I called three times, each call was exactly 6 minutes long. The line was answered by an automated message and a classical piano song started playing (from the beginning of the song) and the automated message said, "Your call is important to us. Please stay on the line, and you will be connected with the next available agent.". It said that about 3 or 4 times and when the song ended it said, "Goodbye." and the call was ended. I've delt with a similar situation once before and it was a scam. They try to get you to buy their product and when you do they have you pay over the phone. Then when they don't provide the product you call, only to reach the same 6 minute long automated massage every time, and in the end it just hangs up on you. I'm not saying it is definitely a scam, but it is shady as hell that I called 3 minutes after I missed their call and was hung up on by an automated message.

If you have a iPhone you can just block the call, I'm a tit bag and know this. If you have a old iPhone you can't and if there calling a land phone no luck.

Go to Recent calls

Press the blue i with the blue circle around it to the right of the number you want to block

Scroll down to block this caller

They started calling me and there would be nothing there when I picked up. One day I was off work and pressed '1' and '#' and I started saying "Hello" repeatedly, and then I started asking if they could tell me what time it was, in a weird voice and progressively got more irritated to the point where i was asking if they are 'trying to make a problem' with me - and after that, they finally quit calling. Maybe they thought I was mentally disturbed or disabled, or confused, but it certainly was gratifying. Again, they quit calling me after that, at least for now.

At first I thought ADT reseller, beginning to believe it is ADT spoofing. New number and immediately start, including snail mail from adt to exactly same name as on new phone line!
Whether reseller or ADT it is ADT who needs to fix. They say same give number and I will add to DNC, even if you are already on fed list. With sppof feds CANNOT help!
I suggest go to ADTs website. Call/chat/email them repeatedly and let them know EXACTLY how you feel!
Chat is fun pick an offensive user name send your complaint repeatedly until they hangup and do again!

Yep, this is a company always asking for the home-owner. That's as far as they get before I hang up on them. I'm pretty sure they are selling home security systems. Next time they call, I'm gonna give them a very enthusiastic hello and then put the phone on speaker and walk away. Let my dog stare at the incredible talking square thingymagig.

Don't kid yourself.  There is nothing you can do.

Person/company "A" buys tons of phone #'s from the phone co's then sells them to many companies wishing to hide behind continually changing numbers, to avoid being reported to the FCC etc.  There simply is nothing that can be done about it.

Maybe we need a ":kickstarter" campaign to fund ? Lawyers ? to try to trace this down, and somehow try to break the chain.
