Calls repeatedly from this number, and no one speaks.

No one here was blaming Obama or any politician.  These scam calls are trying to ride on Obama's program to scam people!

*Sigh* Some times ignorance is not bliss! And the sheer rage in your post clearly shows how you handle things!!!!

(BTW, one time these scammers even used "Obama Home Help" as part of their caller ID.  Had to look up the number to see if it was legit or not.  Turned out NOT! Nothing but scammers!!!]

I have received 6 calls from this 415-553-6465 number.  My phone number is unlisted and is on the DO NOT CALL list.  

I do not answer the call and I do not know how to get these people to stop calling.

I am on Do Not Call List. I put in a complaint on there about the phone.

Frequent calls, annoying. If you just say hello when you answer and then are silent, nothing happens on the call.

Never "opt out" this only lets them know it's a live line and they sell it to others as such. I had the same problem with my dedicated line fax maxhine. I sent back the " opt out" and the faxes increased ten fold. . I had to shut it down.

This number called me daily from September thru December of last year.  It stopped in January and now they're calling again.  Get a clue.  If we don't answer after you've called us for a week STOP CALLING!!

(415) 553-6465 called around 2:15 and left no message. I do not answer the phone for unknown callers. I use the AT&T call block feature to be sure they never call again. Too bad that call block is limited to 10 numbers. Web sites like this one help me decide which numbers to block.

Spam call about "energy efficiency" and utility company

I followed your blocking suggestion and it worked great. Thanks!  I'd been getting calls from this number several times a day too.  We actually don't ever pick up the phone any more, we get so many spam calls.

Got a call ignored, no message left.

Called me first time today on my landline. Didn't answer because it said unknown caller. I only know one person in San Fran and I won't talk to that person either.

Robo-calls can display ANY number. So I hung to talk with a real person. When I asked what company this was she said, "Energy Efficient Program." Of course there is no company with that name. I scheduled to speak with a salesman on Friday. The number to call back to change my appointment is (415) 738-XXXX. They are not respecting the Do Not Call list and it's against the law in CA to use robo-calling machines. Find out who they are and you can sue them for breaking the law in Small Claims Court. Or schedule an appointment and don't let him/her in the house. Or don't be home. After a number of these "missed" appointments, they'll get tired of it. I haven't heard from that carpet company in over a year now.

I just submitted a complaint to the National Do Not Call registry for the four numbers they use: 415-553-6465, 702-291-2991, 714-574-3175, and 800-511-7561.  According to another post, the company is Master Carpet Cleaners, 4531 N Country Club Ln, Long Beach, CA, 90807.  

If everyone complained, maybe something would get done. It's easy:

Calls almost every day, doesn't leave a message--very annoying.  I am also on the do-not-call list.

I am fed up with this caller.  It rings 3 times, then they hang up.  If I answer, I end up with a dial tone.

I get calls from this number at least twice a day.

If you look up the number it says it's from OBAMA.  Maybe you need to take in some air dude!

If you are a comcast phone service subscriber you can block this phone call as well as any others associated with it by doing the following:  
1.  Dial *80
2.  If the number is the last one on your caller list follow that prompt.  If it is not and you want to block it, follow the prompts which follow the last number prompt.

Regular calls from this number since Dec 22nd. Today was only 3 rings and it takes 4 rings to get to my voicemail. I live in the 415 area code and when I call this number back the "I am sorry, this number has been disconnected or is no longer in service" operator message comes up. The number displays as "Out of Area" which is also wrong since I'm "In the Area". Now blocked.

No one is blaming  Obama. These scammers sometimes use his name, and it will pop up on your caller ID. They switch to different names, business names and numbers. They just called me five minutes ago.

This # calls me all the time, ring twice then hangs up when I answer. Motive unknown. Likely a political pac. Pick your opposition hated party and address blame.

The comment is not blaming any president. There is a widespread variant of the credit reprice scam, usually delivered in a canned call by a schoolmarm voice, which claims the dubious offer "relates to the financial stimulus".

You mouth-breathers even blame Obama for spam phone calls. Incredible.

Get consistent calls from this number but no one on the other end.  When you call back it says the number is not in service

Got an unmarked call again from this number.  When I call it back the message said number wrong/does not exist.
