The "good luck as this situation unfolds" line and the vanilla-sounding alias names for the reps strongly suggest a South Asian fake debt collector. If you really want to know how they've found you and Gramma and the neighbor's pet ferret, think back to when you or someone related gave away a pile of sensitive data to strangers through an online application form.

To be clear, this is extortion dressed as debt collection. The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal. As early as possible it's critical to determine if your collector is domestic or yet another South Asian faker. The former you can sue into submission; the latter tend to be out of reach.

I was getting about 9 to 10 calls a day from these people my boyfriend just got off the phone with them. My boyfriend asked them what their and their mothers address was. lol. My boyfriend wasnt too kind on the reasoning for asking what their address was. Dont think there is anything you can realy do but joke about it

Got a call today tilling me I was being sowed  and thy we going to put a wount out for me and I was going to jail his name was Roy king got to thinking who's sowing me he whoud not till me told me to go to Walmart buy a green dot money card put 490.65 on it hell no no no till me why  he hong up on me so I goggle Roy king green dot scams and found this list thy called me from a different number it was 1-202-656-0317. !!!!!!!!     Thank you everyone for this

got exact same call today at work-"David" told me to call "Roy King" about "financial fraud charges" against me. I just took the number, which was the same number on the caller ID that David was calling from and said bye. IF he calls back asking for my attorney information again, I'm going to tell him "I AM an attorney!" and see if they'll quit calling.

How can i stop these calls? they call everyday and they keep threatening me with jail time. Also they called my grandmas house and left message there stating i had a warrant and i havent stayed there for 10 years. where do they get this info. WHAT CAN I DO?

Just tell them an officer is on his way to take a report. Me, I just kept calling HIM back till the # was disconnected. Took oh about 2 hours!

I got a call from Att. James Bemello yesterday saying I was being sued for a cash advance I never repayed. I have never gotten a cash advance. This so called attorney started yelling at me! Hanging up on me threatening me. After he hung up, I called him back. He would hang up, I would call back!  He has a new # folks! 415-484-6151. So he told me to call him today at 11 a.m. He started calling me at 10 this morning. So I already figured it was a scam so I decided to play back! I waited and called him at 11:30. I told him sorry but I was on the phone with the officer longer than I thought I would be. That shut him up! I said they have no record of an arrest warrant for me. HHMMM Who would have thought! He changed his tune and said no it is being filed today!! I said no you told me yesterday it was filed and I would be arrested TODAY!! He hung up. Well guess what I called him back. I told him I am sorry but the officer told me to get these questions answered from you so when he gets here I can fill out the report!! He hung up! I called back, it beeped and disconnected. I called for 20 minutes till I got through a woman answered said he had an appointment and was gone for the rest of the day. Ok so I waited and then I called back 15 minutes later! Well he answered! I said "Well Officer So N So would like to ask you some questions!! He hung up! Its 2 hours gone by now and guess what I am going to keep calling! Don't mess with ME!! I say everyone should check back to this site and every time he changes his # bombard this JERK with calls! Let him know we speak ENGLISH not jibberish!! Oh and he also left me a voice mail with the name Ken Parker!! Sorry this was so long but I have to go now and make a phone call WINK!!!! HAHA!!

I got the same call @ work, but from a Samantha. She told me that if myself or my attorney do not call then it will unfold on me. And she told me good luck!!!! She also said it was time sensitive.

OMG-I just got a call from this guy and freaked out! He said I have warrants coming but my friend works for the police department and she checked and hasn't seen anything. This number just called my work. Granted...i filed for loans, but never received anything from any loan company. They gavee me this number to call back and to speak with someone named Mike Carter. I called back and they said he was in a meeting but had to keep puting me on hold while they were trying to explain to me that they are an attorney for Cash Advance USA. They were attempting to contact me to let me know that I was being charged with money laundering and 2 other charges. What is wrong with people? I could barely understand them because their accent was so strong. Sounds like they are from India or something. I dont know but it scared the hell out of me and this has to stop!!

ok,these people are not in the untied states,i called them back for hours the other day and finaly got on their nerves, called them cow f##king low lifes asked how they liked us droping bombs on their country, if they liked are seal teams killing their familys,etc... i mean i did this for hours! they did not like it then i heard him tell some one he was from the la county sheriffs, so i called them . you need to call your local police and make a report so they can do something . that is the only way they can be stoped.please give them as much as they are you . its a total scam. dont believe them . the police dont call and tell you their putting out a warrent for you, they come and get you . please dont bestupid and believe anything they say. tie up their lines make it hard for them. thanks and good luck

I also received this same message three times in a roll I called the attorney general in my state they say there is nothing they can do as these calls are coning from out of the country so maybe we should all get ahold of one of the network news stations like 2020 msnbc ect.

Got a phone call saying I was about to be arrested and there was a warrant out for my arrest on a loan. His name was Michael. Very rude, threaten me and very disrespectful.  He has been harassing my home phone number that my parents live at and making them worry. This needs to be stopped.

Got a call from this number. When I picked up, the line was silent. They called back and left a message. I blocked the phone number because 1) my name is not Willie and 2) the number they called was my cell phone. This is a fraudulent call. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY AND HAVE THIS NUMBER BLOCKED.

"This message is intended for Willie Snap. Willie, as soon as you receive this message, I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time-sensitive. My name is {unintelligible} and the hotline to my division is 415 952 5630. I repeat it's 415 952 5630. Don't disregard this message and do return the call. Now, if you don't return the call and we don't hear from your attorney either, the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as this situation unfolds on you. Goodbye."

this man has called my wife also,please let me know where to find him...... im not the one to mess with. i will fly out to him and show him a real good time, said we will be getting papers at work to be sued that we have done check deseption etc... wow. what a morron.sombody please let me know where to find this guy

I use this type of loan every once in a great while in emergencies, ALWAYS use the same company, have ALWAYS paid and never had a problem.  My guy's name was Robert Luis (and was obviously indian and barely spoke English)  Needed me or my attorney to call back immediately (sorry I don't employ an attorney) and I actually called the number back 6 times to no answer (most of the times just a beep and it didn't even ring!  This is a complete scam right??

They didn't even get to tell me anything before I questioned them! I asked for their law license numbers and everything and who is suing me, they made up some name Michelle Brown from California, and. I live in Ohio! This is a total scam! I cussed them out so bad, told them I called the FBI, and the FTC, they hung up! They aren't getting a dime out of me!

This number keeps showing up on my cell phone and calling me on my job. The person says it is an urgent matter but they do not name the company or state what it is regarding. The first person never stated
their name. This seemed like a scam so I looked it up on the web

I too have had these calls.  I just reported them to the FTC at www.ftc.gov and used the automated complaint assistant.  Very quick and easy and produces a report number for your records.

4159525630 calling saying i have a warrant out for my arrest asking for the name of my atty.. said they have my job and last 4 of my social.....wont tell anything but they are from the    Office of law and investigation...... and that if i dont return there call before 5pm tonight all they can do is pray for me.....

I got a call today on this. Guy (with heavy Indian accent) called looking for my attorny info. I said for what? He said the Sheriffs office didnt contact you last week? I said no, he said oh you need to call Mike Carter at 415-952-5630 and he can explain. I said why cant you, he said cause I dont have your file, he does. Im just calling for your attorney's info. I look at the caller ID and its the SAME NUMBER he's calling from. So I call it back. Mike said he would appreciate it if I didnt interupt him, so I didnt. He said blah blah, check fraud and deception and I will be arrested. Then he said, I'm done. So I replied with my defense and then he interupted me, I said I did not interupt you, I appreciate you didnt interupt me, he then stated that letters will be going out to my job and home tomorrow and I will be arrested as well.

I am being threatened with arrest&aclass action law suit.
His name is David Miller

this guy should be arrested! this is abuse and fraud. called me at my work place threatening to get me arrested for something i didnt know about

Update: My husband got through this morning twice. Once with "Tracy" and told her what she could do with the scams and that I turned them into the FTC. She said, "I'm so scared" and laughed at him. He then went off on her and hung up. He then got through to "David Miller" and asked if it was a true statement that he called and threatened to have me arrested. "David" said yes he called and threatened to have me arrested. When my husband comfronted him more, "David" amittted that I was NOT going to be arrested. My husband then called him a few choice names and told him not to call again and hung up. I hope that will be the end of it. I guess we will see....

The calls are not from California or Louisiana. They are originating from a boiler room in India, where hardcore criminals are using VOIP to spoof numbers in order to make the calls impossible to trace and appear as if they are originating from within the US.
