Received call on my cell. Number looks very suspicious. Did not answer; no message left.

Said he was from Microsoft and that my "computer will be attacked by a virus in a couple of hours." Ugh.

I got a call from 416-000-0000 and I picked up after 3 attempted calls, but they hang up when I picked up.

I just got a call from this number as well. The person was trying to ask me about lowering my interest rate. I denied the offer and he asked if I was married and started making sexual comments.

Just recieved a call from that number on my cell, didn't answer.

Id like to know why ,who ,and where a bogus number like 416 000 0000 comes from and why they are calling, its feels pretty clandestine to me.

I got call from this number today. Demn care about it as long as no message left. But wondering why police department is quite about harassment to public.

This number called me 4 times already I never answered them and its scaring me. I feel unsafe and threatened.

when I answered the phone nobody was on the other line. This creeped me out so I hung up after 30-45 seconds

I get these calls repeatedly...I do not answer any of them. The 416-000-0000, the 800 toll free, etc. they always threaten that if I don't respond they will  have to keep calling. I just keep screening the calls but I sure get tired of having to run out if I'm busy or in the bathroom or something just for a stupid telemarketing call. Often when they've tried several times in a day and I don't answer, they hang up when they hear my answering machine message. I would love for them all to stop, but nobody does a darn thing. The no call list is a joke.

Foul language  wouldn't give me any info just cussed when I asked ?

I receieved a call today at 11:24am from an Ontario Company regarding credit card last chance opportunity.  When I stated to the gentleman (that is not what I'd call him) that my legal rights, according to the US Fed. Goverment, "I am asking that my phone number be removed from their derectory". He replied with such vulgor language it was offending.

He used the MF word many times...and stated that he wanted to F my wife... my daughter, etc.  I told the man that the call was being recorded and he didn't care!  He kept on with the offensive attack of threats and langauge.  I did tell him that this would be reported to his supervior and he didn't care.  I am doing whatever it takes to track them down and to report this phone call and threats.

Received a call to my cell phone from 416-000-0000 and answered because I've seen these pop up from phone cards before; there were three beeps and then call was gone.  I immediately looked it up and believe it was the "pre-call" for telemarketers.  

Register your Canadian number @ https://www.lnnte-dncl.gc.ca/insnum-regnum-eng - after the 31 days it gives you 5 years protection from telemarketers.

I answered and they hung up before saying anything.

Just received a call from this number.  It began with a recorded message saying "This is your credit card company. This is our second time attempting to reach you.  Press 1 to speak with someone about lowering your interest rate." I wanted to know who the company was, so when a human picked up, I asked.  He proceded to use a level of profanity that I cannot explain.  And then hung up.

Always remember to log complaints on donotcall.gov as well!

received call from 416-000-0000 today.  did not answer, no message left.  probably scam.  I do not answer calls i do not recognize, and never will.

I just got six calls in a row from this number on my cell phone. Declined the 1st and 6th, answered the 2nd-5th. No one responded when I answered so I hung up. 6th call left a couple second-long voicemail that was blank, no sound.

Someone earlier mentioned TD Bank - I know that is associated with Rooms To Go... Could it be their telemarketers?

This number called my phone says we can reduce your card debt blaza blaza. Push one. First thing I pay my card off every month. So I push one and the guy answers and says how you doing. I said not good. Well why not.  I said you keep calling my phone please remove my number.  He said f*** you and Hung up.

Didn't answer based on my caller id info.  No message, could only be a telemarketer.

An automated voice says, "Oh, I am sorry. I have dialed the wrong number". Then the robocaller hangs up. I receive these calls a few times a month.

some shitface just called me from that number as well.  think it was a shitface but there was no one there when i picked up.  it rang a lot till i answered...my guess - automatic dialing that if someone picks up within so many rings than the number is in service...its live and active to sell to telemarketers.

My message was from a debt councelling company that promised 3 months of hassle free protection from creditors yada, yada, yada. I was told to call 1-866-873-6222 for more info.

It was a taped message that could have been from anyone. I'd be careful in case this was a scam that pretends to work like a legit credit counselling agency. That is, you forward a certain monthly payment to them and it is distributed between your creditors at a negotiated rate.

Since I didn't call the number and I have no intention of doing so - nor any debt - I'd really check these people out before getting involved if it were me. For all you know your money could be distributed equally between at bunch of bozos at your local drinking establishment or some phone room overseas.

Just got the same call from a debt counseling company.  Nice to have their 866 number, if they call again I'll take the time to phone then ten or twenty times, as soon as anything answers I hang up and it costs then $3 a call.  I've started doing this and a lot of these places never call back when it starts costing them money.
