This number called me at 3:45pm Friday   Rang 3 times then they hung up with no voice mail left.....

When this phone number calls I don't even bother to answer it....doesn't leave a message on my answering machine either...so whatever..I just don't answer it....Ontario number calling a calgary number....not likely buddy...

Answered and nobody there. Very annoying.  This is about the 6th call from this number this week.

Hi Everyone - This number does belong to a third party call center selling Calgary Herald subscriptions. Jeremy above is correct that newspapers are exempt from the National DNC list. However, since its implementation, the Herald has voluntarily subscribed. I can't deny that we use telemarketing to sell subscriptions, but I can promise we make every attempt to be respectful of your DNC requests.

If you subscribe the National DNC list, continue to receive calls after making a request with the sales rep, or are receiving multiple calls and want your number put on our internal DNC list without having to speak anyone, send me an email and I will take care of it for you.

Calgary Herald, eh? Well, I'll be darned! Look people, I don't mind the Calgary Herald calling me because when they do call, they offer a great priced 6-month subscription. A great deal! I'll be sure and answer the next time they call and I'll stay on the line until a representative comes on.  Yahoo!

If everyone zapped the spammers and scammers so they couldn't get you or your answering machine, they'd end up giving up...

These callers just don't get it. It's like my front door - if I don't know who you are, I'm not letting you in!

Got a call from this number twice. I say hello but there's never anyone there. I called them back and I got a message that it was a promotional call from the Calgary Herald. WTF?!?!!?

Talk about aggrevating!! Time the 'Calgary Herald' fixes this mess! Yes, it IS a # out of Toronto, ON. It's the 'main' telemarketing site for all the newspapers under the same umbrella name! Grrrr!!! Calling the Herald circulation dept in the a.m. to have them remove my number from their call list. I, too, put EVERY phone # on that stupid DNC list which was sold numerous times, from what I gather!!! A lot of good that list did! Well, actually, it DID do someone some good. I'm sure they were paid rather well for ALL THE NUMBERS on that list.
I was unable to reverse look up this number.

Got this number for maybe a month straight calling at least once every day. I just recently called back and the rings were strangely clipped. I stayed on the line and an automated message told me I was in some sort of promotion with the Calgary Herald.

We received a call from this number we have tracked this number 416)646-8802 to To Marketing firm Toronto. We do not want to get a call from them any more.

Recieved 2 calls while driving, ignored both of them. It's long distance so I'm not answering calls I don't recognize.

I got one of these calls with no-one there.  When I called back to the caller ID, I got an automated response that "you have reached IV customer service.  You received a promotional call from Calgary Herald ..." where I hung up.

I'm in Calgary, and this newspaper is the big local paper.  But the caller ID was Toronto- based.  So my local paper is hiring a promotional company to p****off their potential customers

Yup, telemarketing company from toronto area (or they're using the toronto area number but based somewhere else). Calling for The Calgary Herald promotion. So far, all I've gotten over the past few weeks was 30 seconds of static on my answering machine.

I called this number and spoke to a very kind and considerate person... she has put me on their NO CALL list and explained a bit about things... Unfortunately cause they do have  a contract with the Herald which is MEDIA, they are within their rights as telemarketers... They do respect your request and will not call back.. SAD thing is that the Herald uses other companies as well to market for them... Good luck !!!!!!!

It is the Calgary Herald.  I called them back and confirmed it.  B@stards.

I've received 4 calls or so in the past 2 days from these two numbers 416-844-9703 and 416-646-8802. I never do pick up since i see it's a long D num that i don't know. Once the call enters the voice machine the dialler hangs up. It's very annoying!!
