PEOPLE HEED MY WARNING DONT USE THEM OR ANY OF THESE AGENCIES DO IT YOURSELF OR GET HELP BUT U DO NOT NEED TO PAY ANYONE FOR YOUR TAXES BACK. THE GOVERNMENT IS A BUNCH OF CROOKS TO FOR ALLOWING THEM TO CARRY ON. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD FOLLOW THE LAW THEMSELVES AND CRIMINALLY CHARGE NBA & AKIVA MUDJERK AND PUT THEM OUT OF BIZ!!!!!!

Just wait until the CRA asks you to send them a second opinion not from the NBA, and then asks you to pay back that money including the NBA's share. The thing is the NBA was helping people who normally would not qualify for the DTC and using a phony doctor to sign off on the certificate.... Not to mention they don't take 30% of the disability amount, they take 30% of the entire amount including tax credits that have NOTHING to do with the DTC... You can get the tax credit yourself. I did. Yes I had to appeal several times but it sure didn't cost me thousands of dollars to do...

I am glad you all commented on this phone number because I just received my first phone call from that number (416) 789-0080 with the name NBA on my display phone.  I thought it was from the National Basketball Association (how naïve am I).  The odd thing about them calling me is that my doctor completed the disability credit form for me just this week, but I have yet to mail it.  I have several medical conditions (nothing life-threatening for now) but I had friends convince me to get this form completed by my doctor because they said many people send this form in and they only have a common cold. For me, I have hypertension, poor cholesterol levels, anemia, tinnitus, meniere's disease which is vertigo, and since losing my job 3 years ago due to the closure of my department in the company, I have experienced on-going depression which my doctor prescribed Cymbalta medication. I am now 65-years old and dealing with ongoing problems with my 2 older sons and am raising my 12-year-old grandson.  Some days I feel I cannot cope with all of it.  I did not want to get this form filled out because I worked my whole life and have never ever received anything from the government, but I thought I have nothing to lose by trying.  The one thing I cannot understand is how the NBA got my phone number because I have not sent the form and did not talk to anyone about it.  I find this weird. Any ideas?

I am just a little perplexed.
when in history has any government decided to be so generous. Most tax refunds will average$75.00 every
four months G.S.T refund. Now I can go to Value Village a little more often and pan handle a little less.
N.BA. I do not know how the managed to not be sued for copyright infringements ." National Benefit Authority"
out of Toronto Ontario.
Internet Bloggers have been chatting up a storm- referring this company as a "SCAM". Very aggressive telemarketers will hound callers some times daily weekly monthly. You can report them block them call your local BBB .Not very effective either. Any company or business can pay a yearly fee to paste a sticker on there entrance door and yellow pages add. Snooker any consumer who doesnt know any better.
This N.B.A company claims to be non profit except for the processing fee and the other fee to do the " complicated paperwork". Qualify for $30,000- two toll free numbers in Toronto Suite# 400 The number that will actually shows up on your call display, 416 789 0080 San fransico California number

After applying to the govt repeatedly and being denied any tax credits etc etc, this company actually got me my money. trippy I know. They took their 30% which was pretty steep but I ended up with $22548.76

They were able to deal with the govt successfully when I was not able too.

They arent a scam. But they are a company out to make money. Be careful.

I made the mistake of going on their website: thenba.ca. I was bombarded with calls. Yesterday, I went back on the site and left a very strong message that they quit calling me. I indicated that I would take steps to file an harrasment claim if they continued calling me.

read "deecarter" 's message above. After I looked at their website I called the CPP and asked them if I was eligible for disability (I am actually disabled), they looked at my work history and said that I did not have enough "paid in" to qualify me for benefits.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Thank goodness for this site! I found out more about the strange numbers that have been calling me in a half hour than I have in the past month (or more) trying to look the numbers up on the "free reverse phone look-up" which than wants money to actually give you the callers name! Crazy World!!

This is a scam had many calls and said don;t call back. The same person made all the calls.
Don't give your sin# to anyone on the net and if you have mail requiring it contact the gov. ont. for verification. The info on your sin tells all. This person will make 25$ and could get 30% for something
you can do for yourself.

it is a scam, since u can do it yourself. u take the form T2201 to your doctor, your doctor charges you 35$ and you send it to the CRA yourself, the CRA decides if u are eligible for the credit. and they send u a letter. what the NBA realizes is that people don;t know anything about taxes, so if you dont do your own research, then you dont know if you qualify for the tax credit, just like any other tax credit. call 1800 959-8281, thats the CRA and they will tell u same thing and how to do it for free. why would u want to get a tax refund and then have to give someone 30% of it. this is what the NBA does, they ask u whats wrong with u, find out how much u paid in taxes, make u take the form to the doctor, then they wait for cra to say yes or no , and then they collect 30%. it would be like u going to someone to see if you are eliglible for Employment Insurance, and then having them fill out the form for E.I and then u sending it in to E.I and then them taking 30% each pay. the CRA is the only ppl that can decide if u can get the tax credit, just like Service Canada decides if u get E.I. go google National Benefit Authority Scam, read the CBC article

I got a call from this number.  It was from a company names "The National  Benefit Authority Corporation" They sent me a package in the mail as well.  Thier address on the letter head is 970 Lawrence Ave Suite 400. Toronto Ontario M6A 3B6.  The address on the return envelope is PO box 34325 STN BRM B, North York Ontario M7Y 6A1.  Their web site listed on cover letter is www.thenba.ca and thier phone numbers are 416-789-0080 / 888-389-0080 / fax 416-782-0070.

These people claim that they will register your disability with the Canadian Gov. and get you back up to 35,000 cash by going back 10 years on your taxes.  They want 30% of the back payment for their services.

Included in the package was a contract they want you to sign, A Authorizing or Cancelling a Representative Canada Revenue Agency Form where they want your personal information such as your social insurance numnber, trust account numbner, T5 filer identification number so that they can act as your representative for income tax matters. There is a form for a direct deposit request asking for all your banking information.  There is also a separate package of these forms they want filled out by my spouse.
They are claiming in the cover letter that these forms are "time sensitve" and you should return them immediatley.  Since this package has arrive one week ago, I have gotten 4 calls from this organization urging me to complete the forms and send them back.  Pretty pushy....

Are they friggin NUTS??  I would not give anyone this information much less someone from a phone call.
BEWARE of this organization. If you send these forms back to them they have all the information about you they need to do whatever they want.

I received a call from NBA about claiming the dissability tax credit  . The call came in at 244 pm Nova Scotia time . the caller said I could claim the dissability tax credit and it would go back ten years and I would receive back money on my income tax if I paid in on the income tax and so I told them that I must have claimed the dissability tax credit at least that if not more than ten years so The lady said thanks and hung up.I don't know if this company is on the up & up or is this a scam. there was no mention of any money except about the dissability tax credit.or any other information.
