647-496-8292 Called my house 6 times today and once about 5 minutes after I talked to them. Said they were Ontario Eco Energy and would like to make an appointment to check out our furnace and air conditioning. I said they would have to my husband. Said they would call back but 5 minutes later.... I did not answer. Looked on internet for the company name Ontario Eco Energy just goes to Daddy.com where you can buy the name.

I don't lodge complaints usually, but this company has called six times since eight am and its only noon. I am night owl and conduct my affairs when most average canadians are asleep. This as you can imagine leaves me in a "not so great" mood. I did my usual internet investigations and through various phone calls found out the business changes addresses often but is usually located in an around scarborough north toronto and markham.i call the business on victoria park and spoke with a young girl who did not give her name. I explained to her i live not too far away and could perhaps pay them a visit and discuss their particular ways of doing business. I also said i would be calling the police to meet me there if they dont stop calling. She apologized profusely and then said. " well i have your phone# here ". And that was it i dont know if thatmeans i'll be taken off their list. Another poster's reverse look up yielded four addresses 83 borough dr..nice condo by the looks of their 360 viewer if you google the address...i read all these comments about people writing to the crtc and whatnot..i've yet to hear any resolution. Im about ready to call the cops give all the info i have and tell them to meet me at the most recent business address. Or tell cops to ask the business owner if he knows the company he's hiring to call people is harassing them, and someone will eventually sue the owner or the company . I wonder if this could be legally considered being a public nuisance . Our government isnt doing its job anymore. So much bs going on nothing actually gets done. Im fed up

Leaving message concerning continuous, annoying tele-marketing calls from (289) 800-1185, which appears to be ANOTHER NUMBER used by ECO ENERGY HOME SERVICES to promote their free, in-home energy assessment. I got tired of these "Unknown Name" calls, finally answered this morning, March 4, 2014. A lady went through the script, asking questions about age of ... furnace, air conditioner, windows and doors, water heater and solar panels. Guess what, I qualified! Surprise! My wife mistakenly signed up for a 5 year contract for natural gas a few years ago and we can't wait for that to expire (Ontario Energy .... reseller .... BS). I asked the caller for more specifics about the company name and declined her offer of the free home assessment next Monday, March 10 when an "inspector" would be in the London (Ontario) area. Yeah, right !!
Admittedly, my home could use some upgrades BUT do NOT fall for these marketing scams !! I honestly do not understand why our provincial and federal governments allow incorporation of companies/organizations with these "Official sounding" names, so closely linked to existing government programs, rebates and incentives. There are way too many unscupulour vendors out there just waiting to pounce on unsuspecting, vulnerable or naïve victims of their misleading sales practices.
My only regret as I hung up ..... was that I forgot to insist that my number be put on their DO NOT CALL list! I'll take care of that on the next call for sure !!

same company and numerous calls with no one responding when I answer - 3 to 6 calls daily for last week, finally guy on line today says they are Ontario Eco-energy although the caller number shown on phone is 1-289-800-1185 "unknown name".. Again vague claims to be quasi government organization.

Calling every day and always the same. Call starts with a beep that sounds like a Skype connection. A recorded voice comes on 'Hi, this is Hannah. Am I speaking with the homeowner?'. It's an IVR that will then ask 'Are you there?' if you don't answer. If you do answer, she goes on with a blurb about being from Ontario Eco Energy. No one answers any calls on any IVR options provided on their website which is found at http://ontarioecoenergy.ca/contacts/ . There is no doubt in my mind this is phishing and fraud to try and get primarily elderly people, new Canadians and the overly trusting to replace home heating/cooling system through an exploitative contract.

Well they just called my house, asked for me or my wife. Told them they had the right person, then they wanted to confirm I was the hone owner for an address that I resided at 5 years ago. Since I no longer own that home I said no. They hung up. That's one way of getting rid of them. Hopefully they don't get their hands on an updated phone book.

I also had these types of calls before and frankly speaking im also a call center agent awhile back. Keep in mind people are just doing their jobs. I know some telemarketers are just plain stupid but NOT ALL. Just treat them well and if they are still pushing it remind them you rights.
| John 2013-10-11 18:19:49 Unknown |
These guys actually called me and made an appointment. The guy checked my furnace, gave options and that's it,i guess not all callers misrepresent the company and just to be fair im pretty much sure all establishments have negative feedbacks. You can't please everybody. However they can be annoying at times though and well just talk to them if you have the chance if still they keep calling well thats just plain wrong!

I just got a call from them last night. Claiming that they were authorized to come and inspect my furnace. I asked who authorized you? Did someone report a problem with my furnace? They answered that it was a routine 10 year inspection. I said that you have never stepped foot in my house so how is it a routine 10 year inspection. I love playing with these morons. I said do you represent the government or the utility (the person didnt say no. They just repeated that they were authorized to complete "the 10 year routine inspection". I informed them that I was on the do not call list which didnt seem to phase them at all. I started telling him he was a scammer and misrepresented himself and that I was going to report them. Again didnt seem to phase him. So I hung up. The number on my phone was (289)-818-1737.I called it back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I think his name was Mitch. It told him I was on the Do not cal list and again he didnt care. I told him they were scammers pretending to be "authorized" by someone but couldnt tell me who.

You're an idiot. You didn't even speak with Enbridge you spoke with direct energy who happens to be a competitor of Eco energy. Direct energy has been fined 15 million dollars by the competition bureau for lying to their customers in an attempt to retain their business and prevent them from speaking to other companies.

Received a call from someone identifying themselves as Eco Energy Home Services. My phone number is on the national do not call registry and I have not given permission for them to call me nor have I had any business dealings with them. I hung up on the caller. If you want to find out more go to Ontario Consumer Beware and search the database.

Given the time of day at which they prefer to cal and that they focus on land-line phone numbers, I presume they are trying to reach vulnerable & elderly people.
Marketers like this are just a step above maggots. Remind your parents, favourite aunts and elderly neighbours to refuse to provide any information nor to open the door to them.
Friends of mine make it a habit not to answer their (land-line) phones - letting all calls ring through to the answering machine. If they recognize the caller, they will then pick up.
| Geoff 2013-07-23 15:34:15 Unknown |
Their baaacckkk! Just another company ignoring the do not call legislation, pretending to be associated with your energy/appliance providers and/or the Ontario gov't.
If you get a call you can do us all a great service by answering their questions with vague, confusing questions of your own, keeping them on the line as long as possible (without providing them with any information of course) until they get frustrated and hang up.
The more time of theirs that you waste, the fewer calls they can make in a day, the more expensive their operation becomes. Hey, make it your "hobby" to frustrate these business bottom-feeders.
Remember now, every question they ask, you answer with a question of your own...!

I wanted to report a call from supposed company called Ontario Eco Energy -- contact person name is Abby -- 416 790 0719 - when the number is called, it just asks for the numeric code to be entered. It sounds suspect and is an unwanted call.

Seems this is starting up again... This time with (289)-818-1737.
They're extremely persistant... Claiming they're from the government and wanting to come in to my house to inspect all my white appliances for their "econess"... Gas water tank, funny, I don't have one of those.
Will not listen to my "NO" and after I told them to take me off their list, it was "no sorry I cant do that" and hung up.
Here we go again.

I have had calls from them for weeks now. Always from a different number. The one fom Vegas I called back only to get a message that that number is no longer in service ?? Well it was a minute ago...... They called today from unlisted number, I answered said "take me off yor list". Let's see what happens. I'm reporting them to do not call anyhow.

I had a nearly identical approach today, but from area code 702 -- Las Vegas!! Strangely, my telephone, which is programmed to signal long distance calls, did not do so with this number. The callers seem to have discovered some new way to get around antitelemarketer defences.

Ontario Eco Energy called to book an appointment tocheck our appliances for a possible government rebate.
The female caller insisted this was not a telemarketing call. I honestly believed that but, on second thought, the government would not proceed this way, by sollicitation.

One of Sales person came to our door a year ago. He told us that he came from the government.
It's SCAM. They have a lot of door to door sales come to our door every two months.
Try to search this company. Stay away from this company.
