I received the fax from Jennifer Crowley, Editor of the 2010 Edition of Who's Who in Canada looking for us to send back information on our company.
It seems that our business have been selected to be published for free...
I asked that my fax number be removed from their phishing list...

Received a phishing scam fax from Jennifer Crowley of Who's Who in Canada (fax#416-913-2673). Seems as though they are preying on the power of the almighty Ego to get information. I did not call the please remove number, just pitched the fax...

I just got the same fax and I will pitch it as well.  I you wan to know who I am, just call me!

Rec'd email and I am in Barrie. The Director approves of me too - I will be pitching also

My wife got this fax at her place of work in Victoria and asked me to check it out. I went to the official website at whoswhoincanada.net and the opening page starts, "Welcome! Who's Who in Canada recognizes and empowers executives, professionals and entrepreneurs in a multitude of industries around the world. You have been selected as a Candidate for inclusion in the 2009-2010 Honors Edition of the Who's Who in Canada Registry." I guess I was selected by just visiting the site! And why "industries around the world" if it's supposed to be "in Canada"?

Received the Fax as well about Who's Who... but unable to verify authenticity. Did not need this heart attack!

I also just received a fax from Jennifer - GARBAGE!!!

I got a call from Sharon Pattigraw 1877-650 2140 extn 2277who was quite aggressively trying to sign me up.  Interestingly they advertise for a free listing and then come up with Platinum, Gold and other fancy options to ask for money. After reading all this I won't parting a cent.

Well...I have been a professional accountant for 25 years.  I still find it appalling that these guys are still in business!  I would rather...reach out...and cuff someone!  I think that I have seen all the tricks!  LOL.  Keep up the vigilante work everyone!

Received the same fax at my business.  I have a great idea; Spam them back.   Make up a bunch of fake information and fax it back.  Find other spam businesses and use that fax information back to them.

I also received this fax from Jennifer Crowley with similar contents.

I got this very same fax to our office.. Jennifer C. and all..  I actually brought it to our President's attention!! LOL so embarrassing!!  Thank god he did not know that it was a scam and turned it down anyways!  I feel silly and taken advantage of.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to confirm on this site.  It makes a real difference, now I can stop trying to find a phone# so I can tell them we aren't interested in the publication.  It only took me 5 mins to find this site and find out I was wasting my time.

We also got a fax from Jenifer Crowley offering a "free listing" in Who's Who in Canada. Sounded like a scam. Glad I checked it out. Interesting about the link to R & J Concepts as we purchase promotional material from them. Maybe time to pick a new supplier?!?

Beware LinkedIn users! They are now on LinkedIn with directed advertising! So it pays to be really careful who you trust on LinkedIn as well! All companies registered provincially or federally have their contact info and directors names listed. So they can find you if they want to try to scam. We also used BBB North America and Phonebusters to weed through all of this.

I received a fax on Aug 11/10 from Jennifer Crowley saying my boss was selected to be in the publication. Good to know others were as suspicious as I was and that I didn't fill it out.

Aug. 10, 2010 - received this fax from Jennifer Crowley today. After researching this on the internet, we found this is a scam. This scam is still in full force. Thank you for all for your information.

These guys (gals?) and their scam are still going strong.  I googled to find their website - there is no directory, just a one page site with a "Special" invitation to be listed in their non-existent directory and for you to share all your info with them.  Imagine - all it takes to be listed in the Who's Who of Canada is to be able to find their website.  No thank you.

Haha, I just recieved the fax in Northern Ontario (Aug 11th). It says at the bottom of the fax that you can call to get removed from the list, I may try that.

Recieved the same fax as everyone else from Jennifer Crowley today, August 11, 2010.  Thought I would look into it before I replied.  Glad I did.  Thank you to everyone who posted on this sight.  I appreciate you taking time to comment and warn other potential victims of this scam.  Hope they are shut down soon!!!

I am glad there are sites that let people know about scams. We just got a fax for the Who's Who in Canada from a Jennifer Crowley, fax 416-913-2673, with a call back number of 888-833-1296

thank God with have internet. I got this letter from Jennifer Crowley and I said to myself Wow who thought I could be somebody. But then knowing that I have not accomplished any significant thing I knew this can't be true. What a shame.

They're still sending out bogus Who's Who faxes!

Just received this fax today and thought I would check it out.   Thanks to all of you.  Jennifer Crowley Editor no other name on the fax and the fax number is 416-913-2673.  As others who posted earlier we requested to have our fax number removed (not once but 4 times in the last 6 months) but we are still waiting obviously this is just another way to confirm this fax number exist.  We receive faxes like this about every 6 wks.
