Individual called. Do not know who it is.

got a call @ 7:57pm from a so-called representative of "Home Monitoring Station". Spoke with a heavy Indian accent and said his name was Micheal. Started off by saying that he has an offer to install alarm system for the house and that since I filled out one of their surveys that I'm entitled to a huge discount, told him never heard of such company and I never fill out any surveys. Sternly told him to remove my phone number from his calling list.

Making a list of all the phone numbers that call; whether it be scams for credit cards, any kind of insurance or any other kind of scam and fax it to the CRTC and add thanking the CRTC for selling The Do-Not-Call List and that they can deal with these criminals!

this number is used to advertise for a roofing company as well.

Asked a bunch of odd questions. Possibly a market research firm, or a private investigator.

They call numerous times, sometimes several times within one day. I tried to identify them through the  "reverse lookup" of Canada411.ca but it came back with "unknown caller". Why are they trying to hide? This is certainly nuisance calling.

Get a call several times from this number, they call then hang up. It has become a nuisance caller especially at dinner time.

I recieved a call from Compas Inc and advised them they had the wrong number. The operator apologized, confirmed my home number then hung up. The same operator called back immediately after and I advised him that he "still has the wrong number"

I thought it was illegal to call twice in one day.

Name display indicates Compas Inc. Based on their website, this company is a public opinion & research firm. Likely calling about the political crisis in Ottawa.

They called at 8:21 PM on Dec. 4, 2008. I do not answer calls from area code 416, as they are always call centres. I do not participate in telephone polls.

in their survey, they asked me the following questions..!!!
what is your religion?
Do you support Al-Qaida?
Do you support Hamas?
Do you support Hizbullah?
Do you think that the US has done a good job invading Iraq or Afganistan?
etc...

and they said they were asking about my opinion of DEMOCRACY in Canada..!!!

I received a couple of calls from this number on Friday, July 11 and this afternoon (July 12) at 1:38 pm.

Last night, at 7:38 pm,when I picked up, there was a very scratchy, static-filled recording playing which asked me whether I was "sick and tired" of being harrassed by calls from creditors.   (The answer in my case is "no.")  Apparently the caller wanted to relieve my stress and give me my life back.  The female voice then referred me to a local number (in Ottawa, Canada) which I am pretty sure was 613-216-5686. I didn't bother dialing it, since I think it would only encourage them.

This afternoon, when they called again I noticed that the caller ID had the words "Sussex Centre," in it. In Ottawa, Sussex Street is the location of luxury shopping venues. Who knows what impression that is intended to make...?

Received call from someone saying they were a representative of Compas Call Center... said they were doing a survey for Remax.... so far we can't confirm it.  We felt they were asking questions that were beyond the subject.

416 area code belongs to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Someone is calling from there. I couldn't track this number any further.
