I answered my phone and like a dumba$$ went along with it, im bein told im only gonna pay $49.90 for some magazines and they will be split up into 20 payment and of course they asked for my debit card for verification and next thing i know i have a $49.90 pending payment from my bank which i did not by the way authorize..if they call, tell them to stick it and leave you alone!! they are taking peoples hard earn money and i want to see them pay!!!

This is something that just happend to my daughter.  Thank the Lord she told me and I immediately started asking questions and asked if she gave out her card number....she did.  I had her call the bank right away and to have them cancel the card as well as her credit card.  She just called me and said that was done and that this "place" tried to get money three different times.  They got to her saying she had been a loyal customer for this magazine and that she had won a $1,000.00 Shopping Spree to Walmart!  Please, please don't let anyone else fall for these scam artist!  If it sounds too good to be true, then it is!  NEVER, NEVER, EVER give out your card number to someone you don't know especially if they say you've won something!
BE CAREFUL!!!  I wanted to post this in hopes of saving someone else from this horrible scammers.

I TOO GOT SUCKERED INTO THIS. IT WAS A WHOLE BUNCH OF LIES AND THE CHARGES ARE STILL PENDING SO I MIGHT SEE IF I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK TOO. I CALL THE NUMBER BUT ALWAYS GET A BUSY SIGNAL. PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE! IT IS A SETUP AND SCAM. YOU WILL NOT WIN OR RECIEVE ANYTHING FROM THE PEOPLE!

I also got suckered into this because i was so desperate for money.  on my bank charges, it was still pending so i was able to call my bank and have them lift the fee to get my money back and they said they would notify me if they try to actually take it out of my account.  I know now that im never gunna take calls from anyone that even suggests something about my debit card.  The worst part is I cant even get ahold of them to tel them to cancel everything so I dont have to call my bank every month.

should have followed my instincts about this being a scam. pls don't give them any info. i got suckered in. Of course i was told that they wouldnt charge the card and they did so anyway. took some doing but i recovered the $40 and cancelled the card. i know better than to do things like this. pls follow your gut. this is a scam. it seems like they get your information and then they change the number/

I got a call from this number at 9:15 last night. Called back, just kept ringing. Called this AM and it was busy. Oh well

It's amazing how many people will answer questions some stranger asks them on the phone. Really amazing. Why would you ever do that? Do you not know how to HANG UP the phone, or did someone tell you it's rude to hang up on criminals who call you?

i got 3 calls from them they asked me if my adress was right i said yes ask many other question and the next thing you know i have money missing  out of my account that was my rent money..so now i am screwed. i dont recall giving them my checking account number but aparently if you just give they your address they will hack into your information themselves and f*** you. they said i won a shopping spree and magizines and so on. dont not answer this call its a scam and they will get you if you give them your address. now i am fighting to get my money back...like that wil happen.

These durkers keep calling me.  I don't answer, but dang, they're pretty persistent.  I've had weeks of calling.  Go away.

I just got a call from this number 423-317-0554.  They told me that they wanted to sell me something based on the fact that their records show that I have a visa or mastercard.  My recomemdation is to make sure your number is on the (national do not call list) first and then if you still receive calls from this number again, you can file a complaint on that website.  They will stop after that.

I received 2 calls from this #, on the 2nd call I answered, only to hear I received 2 calls from this #, on the 2nd call I answered, only to hear a fax machine modem.  Sometime later I receive another call from this # I answered, again fax machine modem beeping sound.  I called back to inform whom ever was attempting to fax, that this is a cell #, and a woman answered and informed me that I had contacted the main # for Mountain View Communications, asked me for an ext or the name of the individual whom contacted me, I told her I didn?t know who called me, I asked her what type of business this was and I was disconnected.  Attempted to call back, and ended up back with the fax machine modem??ERRRRRRRR!

I received 2 calls from this #, on the 2nd call I answered, only to hear children yelling in the background, so I hung up and called the # back, a woman answered, I disclosed to her that I had received 2 calls from this # and when I answered, I heard children in the background,  rather rude replies; ?I am representative of Mountain View Communications, this is not a childcare center, give  me your  name and # as well as the name of the representative that contacted you, and in 3 min I will have them call you back?. I told her I didn?t have the name of the individual that called me and I want the calls to stop!  Bothered by this, I did research online and this # is from a town near Santa Clara, Ca.  I called back blocking my #, and a woman answered, telling me that I had won a $500 shopping spree, asked me for my name & # and told me that a representative would call me right back. It seems to me these people have a telephone device that dials #s @random, for some type of either identity theft or other type of scams!

I just got a call from this number not five minutes ago and it was a very friendly-sounding woman telling me I had one a 500 dollar shopping spree. She said I had qualified through one of my Visa or credit cards, but when I told her I didn't have a Visa or credit card, she said something like, "Well maybe it was your debit card. Do you have one of those?" When I said no, she said, "Well unfortunately you do need a debit card to qualify. Have a good day anyway."

Hmm.

I got a call from this number and they asked for someone I never heard of... when i told them the phone was temp loaned to me thewy said thank you and hung up.

I have gotten several call from this number and when I respond with she is not available right now, they hang up.  I call back and get a busy signal.

I ANSWERED THIS CALL THEY SAID THEY WERE WORKING FOR VISA AND I WAS IN A DRAWING FOR 25,000 AND THEY WERE SENDING ME FREE MAGAZINES AND THEN STARTED ASKING IF I USE MY DEBIT CARD OR PAY WITH MONEY ORDER I THEN HUNG UP

I had two missed calls, one from this number and another 423 317 number.

I got a call from this number twice today (10-15-07). I called it back and got a user busy signal. I believe I got one a week or two ago as well. With the same results.

I called the number back and a girl answered. She said it's "Mountainville (spelling?) Communications". And then proceeded asking for my name. I hung up after that.
