I wish I had done more checking into this before I send my money. I will also let my local new reporter know that they need to stop printing this scam. Thank you for reporting to the FBI.

I answered an ad in our local paper here in Osage Beach, Missouri. The guys name was John Templer out of Bakersfield, California.  Thank you so much for this web site. I was ready to send him the money but like they say, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is!!! I have almost 30 years experience in doctor/hospital billing and would love to work at home. I have a 92 year old mother that lives in our walk out and it woul d be nice to be here for her.  Jobs here stink and the pay is horrible so I don't have $199.00 to throw away.  This site shed light on what I feared.  I won't send any money and hopefully no one else will either.

I just called about a job in the paper this morning and John Templer called me back and asked me some questions and asked me to send $199 to him by Friday. Sounded weird so google this providence medical and found all these reports. Thank you for saving me.

You guys are the absolute best thanks so much for saving me time money and frustration I have been in the medical field for 15 yrs and with my experience this sound like would could have been a dream job(not) more like a nightmare. After hospital restructuring and job eliminations I find myself in somewhat of a desperate situation but sadly for every unfortunate circumstance there's a scammer waiting to pounce and at a time when people need jobs so badly there's a special place in hell for this guy.Ok so this week they're calling the position (Medical Coordinator) the name has been changed to protect the anything but innocent !!! and to contact Human Resource Dept. @ 855-357-6311 As I did then I received a call from the infamous John Templeton from his direct # 475-201-9014 Who ask that I send $199 for the software he was so persistent about the money I became suspicious and reach out to you guys. Thanks for being there when I needed you

My sister was scammed by this low life.  She needed a job so badly, and still does, and she worked in the medical billing field a couple of years ago and knew that she could do this job well. I have called him myself and after he raved about needing someone to work this job, I told him the real reason I was calling was to help my sister get her money back. I call him about 2-3 times a week and each time I leave about 5-6 messages. I always start my messages with, "Hey Scammer" I have called 5 times today and left a message for him each time.  He can't do anything to me because if he turns me in for harassing him, he will be "found out". I don't threaten him, I just go on about what kind of person he must be for doing this to innocent people who really need a job, and that he needs to return my sister's money. I have my mom and sister calling him as well. Everything on this blog and the other blogs I have found, is pretty much the same that has happened to my sister too. He finally sent the fake software that didn't even work. We are burning up his machine at the 475-201-9014 phone number. Any information you can give us, to help us find this SCAMMER, would be greatly appreciated.

OK - the last post was added awhile ago, so I don't know if this loser wiggled away from the authorities, and now has started up again, or what??.... the number I've been reaching him at is: 475-201-9014.

Unfortunately, I was truly naive about scammers until after I had sent my money to the notorious John Temtler (I had him spell it for me) in March.  Of course I didn't receive any software, so after I called back to complain, he said that he'd have the Customer Service department send out a new one......again, nothing.  At that time, he stopped returning my calls, so I used a friend's phone and a fake name.  When he called back, I admitted to who I was and told him that I just wanted a refund.  He acted like he would send one right away, but I knew nothing would come.  My sister was so upset about it, that she called pretending she wanted a job.  When he called her, she told him who she was, and that I had turned him in to my county's police department.  He got all nervous and practically hung up on her.  Then yesterday I suddenly received my "fake software".  My mom, sister, and I are all burning up his phone line and using up his voicemail space, demanding a refund.  I am contacting my local authorities, but am not sure what else can be done.  **** How does one go about getting the FBI involved??****  I'll probably never get my money back, but it would be satisfying to help Mr. Temtler win a nice long vacation to prison or something!!!

Thank you guys for leaving your comments. I was lucky enough to have found these comments before falling for the scam. But I wanted to leave my story:
The ad posted is coast to coast in all papers and on your site. The ad states the company has a clerical position available paying $15.00 for a busy local doctor?s office. The contact number is 8552241270. The man that I spoke with was named John Templeton and he stated he was based out of Hartford, Connecticut. The company called Providence Home Medical. This company is for software SUPPOSEDLY to be used for remote billing and coding to be purchased for $199.00 then you the employee would be paid $5.00-$8.00 depending on the length of the claim. I had Googled this number ending in 1270 and came up with a few bad reviews. When I spoke Mr. Templeton for the second time, I asked about the software used and what the technical support number, which he gave me as 8553576311. As I had Mr. Templeton on the phone I also looked that number up and no software company or any company for that matter was associated with the number ending in 6311. After stating I had read some bad reviews and he HUNG up on me. SCAM!!!
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!
I have notified the FBI and as many classifieds/websites as I could...It's getting late so sorry if I have missed a few.

Same thing here.  I responded to an ad in my local paper for medical/clerical, excellent opportunity with benefits. Strong computer skills. Up to $15 an hour depending on experience. Contact the Human Resources Department at (855) 357-6311. I left a message.

Just received a call from a John Templar with Providence Home Medical Billing. His number was (475)201-9014.  He told me he was calling from Hartford, Ct. He was also trying to sell medical billing software for $199. Same info as others have posted. I explained to him I supervised a back office for an Orthopedic practice in FL.  I asked him what billing software he was selling among other questions and apparently, I asked too many questions that he couldn't answer...he couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I too will inform my local paper of this scam.

Please don't fall for this.

Clerical

PART-TIME BILLER

Looking for an experienced biller in a medical practice, flexible hours. Call Human Resource Department at (855)357-6311.

Received a return call from "John Templeton" 424.230.1428 who gave me information where to send the $199 for my software. Same stuff as what is posted above. He was supposedly calling from Hartford Connecticut but the company is in California. Company name of Providence Home Medical Billing. Not sending the money and reporting to the newspaper in the morning. Glad I read this!!!

When I asked him how he knows who would work out well he said he could tell within a few sentences on the phone....hmmmmm. So they are going to send out 50 patient records in a batch to someone who sounds good on the phone?? Had really high hopes but definitly a scammer!!!!

Hmm, they want you to pay $199 up front... just like the real estate scammers American Standard Online/ Anchor House Financial... also in California.
Very scummy of them to use a name similar to Doctors Without Borders.

Posters say here http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-389-6538 that Doctors Without Limits is a work-at-home scam. Victims pay $199 up front and receive medical billing software on a CD but victims can't get the software to install and no one answers the phone when they call for help. There is a legit organization called Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) https://www.doctorswithoutborders.org/ whose staff work courageously, sometimes under incredibly difficult/dangerous conditions, but Doctors Without Limits is a scumbug company scamming on the good name of the legit Doctors Without Borders. You have to be a real b*****d to pick a company name so close to "Doctors Without Borders." SCUMBAG!
