This number has called me at home several times and at my place of employment today. He is very nasty on the phone to others that answer. He told my boss he was from Department of Law Investment and that a lawsuit has been filed against me. He left 2 messages today. I did not keep them. For one he had such a thick accent I could barely understand his jibberish. Secondly, I didnt know better. I do have his name because he gave it to my boss and she sent me an email regarding it. However this number (424-244-6058) is not the number that shows up when he calls, this is the number he leaves. What can I do about his harrassment?

I get these too. I have come up with a name of my attorney. Younte Fuckenmenomere. Your Not Fucken me no more. Get it. When they ask me again for my name I just say Younote(you no te)  I just keep repeating that I am my attorney of record as soon as they call and they keep badgering to talk to me. Eventually they get frustrated and hang up. They are a bunch of idots. I also asked them for the attorney's name yesterday and looked that name up with the California Bar and nothing will show up. I just laugh in their ears. Drives them insane and they finally hang up. Eventually they might quit calling.

The last time this guy called for a person who works here said his name was Leon Kennedy.  He is now using the name Michael Black.  He has a heavy Indian accent and proceeded to tell me that our employee was going to be arrested if he didn't return his call.  He keeps changing the name of the business and continues to call even though we have asked him not to.  They are very rude so I am rude right back. He continually calls this persons cell phone and leaves threatening messages.  We reported this to Law Enforcement Officials but the calls continue and have been coming for about 5 months. Last phone number he called from was 424-244-6058, but it comes in other numbers as well as well as 0000000000.

Got a call here today, & for the last 2 weeks, AT WORK for a co-worker.  When you tell 'Bill Wilson" that the co-worker is not here he gets rude and nasty.  Has the same accent everyone else on this site & 2-3 others have said.  Said he was from the Department of Law & Investigation in California.  The more you ask "is this work related?" He gets really nasty and begins threatening arrest and law suits.

Just received a call from them. I called back and record the phone call.
they said that I own money to a US cash advance , which I do not.
I told them that if they called me again i will  report them. The "lady" on the phone was rude and use a n explicit language.. and have a very hick accent I could barely understand his jibberish.. and she had the face to say that I do not understand English ...

I received 3 calls from this number.  The calls were from a male with a very thick Indian accent.  He said that he was from the Department of Investigation and that my situation was very very bad and I should have my attorney contact him immediately.  Also, he said his name was Chadwick Martin.  Each time he sounded like he was reading a script and very unsure of himself.. like someone was putting him up to it.  The third time I answered the call since I don't have any loans out and I told him that I was filing a report against him and to keep talking so that I could get more information.  He had my home address and said that he was going mail the subpoena for me to appear in court.  I told him to keep talking because I was recording the call.  He sounded even more nervous and then hung up.  Curiously a couple of minutes before the calls started I received a junk text on my phone from Last Chance Payday Loan.  I hope we can find these guys!

I work for a collection company and I am aware of the laws out there.  First off it is against the law for any company to call and leave detail message even if someone answers.  If they do then that would be a lawsuit that no collection or law firm, department of investigation wants to take.  They are not to contact you more then once a day.  So that should tell you right there that it is a scam.  You need to get as much information from that person and contact FTC (Federal Trade Commission) Do not let them know that because they will change there number and call you from another number and claim they are a different company.  Hope this information helps you guys.

That number 424 244 6058.  I can tell you right now that its a fake number.  It's a scam do not fall for it.  They claim they are from a law firm company but you can tell off the bat that she or he has an accent so they are not calling from the US.  Those types of calls I do not take seriously.  If you have applied for a payday loan online anyone can easily get your information and try to use it against you and claim they are from a Special force, Supreme Court, law firm to get you to do a payment by credit card or western union or money gram.  ITS A SCAM!!!! Do not fall for it.  I get that call all the time and I don't take it seriously at all.

Very thick Asian accents.  The first few calls I hung up because I did not understand the person.  A couple of nights ago someone called claiming I ignored his "paralegal."  He claimed their are three legal matters of fraud against my social security number and that he is sending the legal documents to a family member and my place of employment.  Funny thing is I have not received any legal docs.  I supposed they will call again.  I will send these messages to the State Attorney's Office in my hometown.

I got a call from this number 424-244-6058 his name is Harley brown, Department of Law, He has a very funny speaking accent. I know the debt collector R.A. ROGERS INC put these people to call me and threaten me. Mr. Brown kept leaving nasty and threaten messages at my place of employment and personal phone. The call is so disturbing to myself and family for a debt that I owned when I fell sick with cancer. I am paying my debts one at time until finish, but i certainly don't need to be harass to pay them. What can I do to make them stop?

His name is Terry Kelly. He is the LOWEST form of debt collector known on the face of the earth! He will have his flunkies disguise their voices and come up with outlandish stories to get you to call them back. They break pretty much all the laws regarding the fair debt collection act. Matter of time he'll be in jail for this or an irate debtor will put him down

They called me twice at my place of employment today and have threatened to have me arrested for an unpaid loan.  They are violating the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).  First, they cannot call and leave a message more than once in a 24 hour period.  Secondly, they cannot threaten you with a lawsuit or arrest for an outstanding debt.  They do not have the power or authority to bring a lawsuit against you and threatening to do so is deceptive practices.  You also CANNOT be arrested for an outstanding debt.  Make sure you keep a log of the calls and if possible save their voicemails.  Submit it to your local District Attorney.  They are breaking the law.

yes he called me too.. so i called them just as many times as the called me...they hang up telling me not to call them ever again... i ask for the address so i can send them my info from my bank and the payment after she gave me averything i told her i would be sending the FBI and the DEA and ICE to there door they cus me out and told me never to call there again...

This number called us. A man with an Indian accent claimed to be named Steve Gardner, stated that my husband took out a $200 loan several months ago online. They stated it was from US Cash Advance. The loan was never taken out by me or my husband. They stated they would send papers to my husband's job and get him fired and that we would have to attend to court in California for the offense. They called from 424-244-6058 several times. They also called my cell phone, our home number, and friends cell phones. They stated to settle out of court it would cost $475.65 but if he went to court it would cost more than $7,000.00.

I am going through this now. My dad just left me a message worried about me being in serious trouble. I was up in the air about what to do, but this helped alot.

I just got a call from the same number and yes, the man has a heavy accent and you can barely understand him.  He had the last four digits of my social and my driver's license number and had the name of my bank!  Also said that he received an affidavit against me and that they were going to be mailed to the bank and my friends and family so they can know what kind of a fraudulent person I am.  Right before I got that call, I got a text on my phone from some payday loan company.  We are trying to be scammed guys!  Let's all be careful!!!!

Just got a voicemail on my cell phone. Same crap as others have mentioned. Indian accent, hard to understand. Used my dad's name as a reference saying he was doing something fraudulent using my info (which I almost fell for...) Said "if me or my friend or family member mentioned (my dad) did not call them back, then would both be in HUGE trouble!!!" Ok really? What professional would talk like that? I called my brother, he immediately found this site and talked me down. Now I just need to figure out how and why this asshat has my info???

I got a call from a guy who seemed to have an Indian accent - I couldn't understand most of what he said.  He was claiming that it was a misappropriation of funds by my brother and that since he used me as a reference it would go against my credit.  How stupid do these people think I am?? Since when does someone using your name as a reference make you liable if they default???  He was telling me it was very serious and it would go against my credit and that I needed to call him back ASAP.  I will save his voice mails.  Yeah, sure I will call back ASAP!!

These people/person with thick accent are full of crap!!!!  They are scammers/bs'ers/liars/fraudsters.  When you ask for proof of the loan he gets nasty, when u say u do not owe any bill he gets nasty.  He called for a co-worker, which he was asked if this was related to our job and that we do not accept personal calls at work.  He gets a tone in his voice that boarders on nasty.  He was told that the co-worker was not here today and he said he, Bill Wilson, was from the 'Department of Law & Investigation in California' and needed a return call.

Tell them the next time they call to Take a leap off of a very tall bridge...they are illegal in thier practices and VERY rude & nasty.  MOST times u owe nothing to anyone they say they bought the debt from and cannot tell you the amount that is owed!!

I'm having the same issue. Very thick accent, very rude. I have a new iPhone (for work) and often when they call there is no option to decline the call, either answer or let it ring to voicemail. He had a lot of info on me, but when I pushed to have a copy of the lawsuit he got VERY rude and told me I would have to go before a jury, be embarassed and I would go to jail. REALLY?!?!?!?!?
