I got same type of call stating threatening message that if I didn't call immediately something would happen. He was mid-eastern.

Received a call to my cell phone this morning from this number - very strong Iranian accent, named Paul White.....right.....

Stated that my SS number was under a lost complaint and that it was under state investigation and the I needed to call back immediately or they needed to hear from my lawyer.

same thing here, this man with a heavy accent has been trying to reach my co-worker. he called numerous times, i finally picked up, and there was no answer. he then called right back, i answered again. he asked for my co-worker, i told him she wasn't here and asked if i could take a message. he was adament that she call him back "right now" and left his number. i asked for his name, apprently this time he's "samuel jackson"...real creative.

This same guy called me started Monday calling back to back with threats....who is this person.

I received the same call from the person Pakistan (accent). These people are not to be trusted. Ans yes they are just calling over and over again. I do not understand. I'm with Lifelock and my SS#  is not under investigation.

These people are rude and disgusting.  Our employees don't take personal phone calls at work.  To harrass a place of business should be illegal.  Get rid of these idiots!

I am so fed up with these idiots. i have 3 different numbers they call me from. they harass me at work and they call the front desk and ask for my boss. My boss got the call and told me to take care of it. i have friends in the police force so they investigated it and called them and kept calling them telling them he was a deputy sheriff and he didn't want them to bother me again. that lasted 2 weeks and now they are calling me from another number. i just left a message with this officer to reopen the case and now it is a waiting game. i had to let the front desk know not to answer this number so we can head them off. they become very agitated when you tell them not to call and harass me. So the saga continues. it is very embarassing to have your boss email you and tell you to take care of it.

I also keep getting calls from this number.  They claim I am being sued.  I start screaming at the top of my lungs and they stop calling.  Next I am getting a whistle.  I am so very tired of these scammers and wish the government could find some way to put a stop to it.

The same thing is happening to me. Apperantly they are calling from a law firm called "American Law Firm" looking for this guy named Luis Zometa. This guys voice is like middle eastern and very rude and agressive. He goes by the name of "Harry Brown" and Samual ( something) and gave me a Jeff Mathews name as his Senior Supervisor and address of the firm they are located at (fake of course) 11000 Whilsire Blvd. Los Angeles, Ca. 90024. After pretty much yelling at this A-hole for I hope the last time he mentioned to me that he was going to erase my number and I told him thats what you said last time and here we are talking again WTF (what the f***). Im going to report this not only to the police but to a news channel where they can investigate this a-hole and put him away for good. I think this is more like the nigerian scam, where they send you an email asking for your help with a lump some of money and ned your info.

This number called my husband stating they deposited $300.00 into our account and that we needed to pay this amount in full with a debit card right away or they were going to take this to the supreme court. I was on our account online and asked for the date that they supposedly deposited the money into our account and he told me it was some time in October but because there are hundreds of thousands of people they give money to everyday it was impossible to give me an exact date and time of the transaction. So while I had him on the phone I looked through our bank statements and told him there were no deposits into our account other than our payroll checks and he kept telling me I was wrong and when I told him I didn't think this was a legit business he hung up on me. I then called my bank just to make sure the statements online were accurate and they told me (of course) they were and that these people are just trying to get money out of me.  So I called the company back and asked for their address and they gave me the same one from the post above on Willshire Blvd and I pretended that I was standing outside of the building with the cash in my hand and asked them to let me in so I could pay them. It was GREAT! I played with them and kept calling them back every time they hung up on me.

I got a call from the same folks.  Thomas Stone.  I don't think they name their kids Thomas in China or wherever he was cause I could barely understand him.  He claimed to be an officer of some sort.  Don't let these guys fool ya.  He also called my office  That's when I did all the talking.   Just tell them you won't pay it.  PERIOD  That usually does it.  Stand up for your rights as a consumer

This is the second week that we've gotten multiple calls from some wingnut asking for one of our employees.  They just won't give up.  I told him to stop calling and harrassing us.  If he wants to contact an employee, then call him at home.  He said his name was Harry Brown, but there's no way, with his accent, that his name was Harry Brown.  American Law Firm my eyebrows - what an idiot.  I hate dealing with these people.  Harrassment of this kind should be illegal.  Maybe I'll call him back on HIS line and start harrassing him!

Brad Williams(obviously not his real name Pakistan accent) called our office 6 times in a row, asking for someone, saying they were investigating his SS number. I told him this is a place of business and not to call again...he says Im going to call again again again again again...he called and while I answereed that line, he hung up called back rang on another line...ridiclious and he should be locked up he is obviously unbalanced...this went on for 20 minutes....I told him I was reporting him to the local police department and the phone co...he said I don't care care care care...

I started receiving these calls from a Mr. Eric Williams with a heavy Indian accent...lls..yeah da f_c*k right! I'm black and you wanna give me a black or white name and you barely speak friggn English correctly!  This idiot is so dayum stupid that after he called reciting my personal information and I hung up on him he actually called back moments later using an alternate name! Mind you this was the same dumb cluck i'd just spoken to! I was very disturbed whn this idiot knew all my info so I caled the cops ASAP! The cops advised me to become registered with a credit monitoring company and start looking at my reports for any questionable items then I could call them back out for a formal report...sheez forget about being pro-active, if I wait until something actually happends it's gonna take that much longer to clean dat mess up! Oh well I'm following the previous persons advice of contacting the FBI, my bank and the three credit reporting beaureaus ASAP! What i'd really like to do is found out what comany handled my personal information without care sue da s_i_ outta da fools for some crazy exorbordant amount of money and then go after these as_ho_es and hit their pocketbooks up and send them to jail ad after their jail term sent back on a first class flight to their home lands!

I blocked their phone numbers from my cell and just don't answer the unavailable or restricted lines.  They are fraudsters.  I contacted my hospital administrator and explained the situation.  He in turn stated that they get several calls a week for various scams.  They are aware of the scammers and are trying to ignore it.  I guess I am just glad that i am not the only one that has been faced with these scammers.   If you listen to them on the phone you can hear the other people in the room yelling on the phone to other people.  It makes you feel sad that people have to act this way.

these people are crazy.. the guy is so strange.. you cant understand him.. & when he does talk its crap.. & if you ask him a question he says huh? huh?? lol! what a joke!! ignore him! i called my local police department.. they said to ignore the calls or just hang up.. they can do nothing.. Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pre-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt.

If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller?s instructions. Rather, you should:

Notify your banking institutions.
Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.
Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.
File a complaint at www.IC3.gov.
Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:

Never give your Social Security number?or personal information of any kind?over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact.
Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.
Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.
Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.
Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.
When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statements

I have also gotten threatening phone calls from american legal division this week. Danial hopkins is the name of the person that has been doing the contacting. He removed 100 dollars out of my acct without authorization and the company that came across was broadway global. I have conatacted my bank. they have my ss number they are of foreign decent they hsve also tried calling me at work.

Another ripooff company called the same day. They are from BCI bureau of crime investigations. they are of foreign decent. They told me that danial hopkins is a scam and danial hopkins said peter crider was a scam.

They keep on bugging me so I had a 3 way call set up so they could scream at each other. It was ridiculous.

They just keep calling. I also a gentleman from fast cash max usa call saying that the other two are scammmers and he need $390.00 sent to him. His name was Thomas Lee also of the same foreign decent. do they not have a single american???? They are totally crazy.

Anyway. I have reported this to the variety of rip off sites, fbi, attorney general and IC3, and the FTC. I can not think of anyone else to contact. I have already had my identity stolen once this year. I don't need it again.

this number harrassed me at work and then asked me to talk to my supervisor, I wouldnt verify and he called me 27 times.

Called said they were American Law Investagation and that we had taken out a payday loan and if we did not pay it back back with our debit card would take us to court and put us in jail. We had already received a phone call before from these guys and new it was a scam. Already reported them to the FBI and local police. I told him that I knew it was a scam and already called the FBI and he hung up real quick. They get your information from online if you have ever applied for a payday loan. The police said to report them and change your phone number if they keep calling.

Some indian sounding guy called me 8 times trying to get me to talk to him about a cash service load that has my SSN attached to it.. I have no idea how this crook got my SSN, but if this continues, what can I do? NO ONE should have my SSN.

Have been getting calls from a man who says he is a laywer for american law firm, calls from 424-261-4651. Tells me from what i can understand that I owe money for a payday loan from cash advance in the amount of 300.00. Tells me his name is jeff mathews. I  called him back and told him that i read all about the scam and that i had contacted the police! He just tells me good luck when all the legal action blows up in my face when i am in front of the judge. It did scare me that this idiot has my personal ifo!

We have received numerous calls from these guys over the past week.  Several employees have been hit.  They claim a payday loan advance was taken out for 300 and when they went to get the money back the bank account was closed.  They have threatened to send police out to have the employee arrested.  They have now started calling on the business line and tying that up with their rudeness.  They said they had a "court order" to informtiont the manager they were sending a sheriff's car out to the office to have the employee arrested.  They first called their cell phone numbers then started calling the employer numbers.  Told multiple times not to call back.

Caller with heavy accent and very hard to understand stated that a file had been placed against my ss#. If I didnt call them back that 2 police officers would be at my door by friday. He also said the local court house where I live had been contacted and that I didnt take care of this matter he would see me in court. I have tried to call back several times and cant get an answer...and the voicemail is full

I got a call from these people too.  Some guy named Thomas Stone....sounded like chinese or something.  I never took out a loan with Advance Cash USA for 300 bucks in my life.  He also called my work place at which time I threatened a lawsuit if he did it again.  Don't let these guys fool ya, it's a sceme to get your money.  They are overseas someplace in Indonesia.  Stand for your rights as a consumer

I got three calls in a row from this moron.  I'd gotten a call once before from another guy with the same vendetta, so when I answered his call and he told me there was a legal case against me, I flipped out and started screaming at him.  I was like, "Listen, stupid!  I've gotten calls from Middle Eastern halfwits like you before, with the same stupid routine about how there's some case against me and how you want me to send you $500 or whatever.  Guess what?  You're not getting a cent out of me.  And if you EVER call me again, I'll report you!"

These people called and did the same thing to me.  They left a voice mail on my husbands cell phone stating they were suing us and blah blah blah.  My husband had no idea what they were talking about and neither did I (as we just paid off our cars and all our credit cards and the only debt we have now is our house) so I called the number back. They answered the phone "Hello, Law Firm." I spoke with a multitude of people, all with silly names, and they all kept telling me we had to pay this money right away or we would be going to court. When I started to get aggressive with them back, tell them I was looking at my account right now and we never got any money in our account other than payroll in the last six months, they hung up on me.  So I decided to have a little fun with them back.  I called and gave them the name Tiffiany Spark and told them I was standing at their door (they gave me a fake address) and I had cash in hand to give them to pay off this debt. He told me they would only take payment by card. I started to cry hysterically and told him I cant pay by card because my husband would see the charge on our account and would beat me for spending money (all just pretend of course) and they guy started to tell me that he would come up with a way to keep me safe.  I think he actually felt bad for me hahaha. Needless to say, this is one of those scams where they get your account information and steal all your money.  So sad that people actually fall for it.
