This number registered on our phone once when our son called from Afghanistan. The source read: US GOVT-NAVY HQ. Obviously, the call was placed through a military installation in the US.

If you know someone in the military overseas, they have to call a U.S. military base and have that person transfer them to a state number, and this number is one of the many bases that does this service for them for free.

I received two calls from this number today.  I do not know where the call came from.
