I got a call from this number today and it was actually from the Dept. of Licensing in Olympia. Seems as if its a general government routing number?

Got a call from the # didn't answer because I wasn't sure who it was, immediately *67 and called the # back and it told me the # had been disconnected please try your call agian?

This phone number is from the State of Washington, Social Security Disability Insurance.  My call was specifically from the Benefit Determination Department because I had applied for SSDI Benefits. The person calling me was the person deciding whether my application qualified me for medical and/or disability benefits.

gotten calls from this number recently, never ever do what they say, its shady and if they are trying to scam people, they should go to hell.

got call and immediatly called back, message said it was disconnected.

We have been getting calls from this number for a couple years. Before caller ID we would answer it, and all we got was a fax machine trying to connect. Now caller ID shows SOW DIS-TSD and the number 425-513-0800

I can confirm that when this number calls me it is Washington State Support Enforcement Tacoma Office. I can not call this number back either, I must use the 800 number or local number to the Tacoma Office to reach my support enforcement officer.

Received call from 425-513-0800  on 10-19-09 Was Recorded message even knew my name and was something about a business license, i don't own or have a business!Wierd

I got a call from this number saying it was the Washington State Employment Security Department. Telling me to call a 877 number. I have not, this also is not child support enforcement.

I have no minor children. And only one living at home, fresh back from the Navy. So there is no reason for Child Support Enforcement to be calling me.

This is washington state division of child support. when they call me this is the number that shows up but i am unable to call this number back, I use the 800 number they provide

so this number left a VM and it was actually from division of child support just incase you guys were wondering.

Just got a call from that number this morning, April 3rd 2009.  No message or anything.  There is NO reason for a collection agency to be calling us.

I just got a call and didnt answer it and it said "# had been disconnected please try your call agian" I think it might be a collections person for a hospital bill. I understand when a number is one that you cant call back, but this is dirty when it says that it is disconected.

I have gotten calls from this number at least on 4 different occasions, I have called it back also and it says its disconnected.....

I received a call from this number. They stated that they were calling about Child Services. I placed a call to CPS a few weeks ago so it could be them returning the call. I didn't write down the return number so I was dismayed when I called it back and it was disconnected. Until they call back I'll never know.

Information about washington state unemployment training qualifications. Im currently on unemployment and they just want to let you know you may qualify for education for a new job.

When it calls me I get a recording from "The Washington State Employment Security Office." I haven't been employed for over two years though. Very odd.

I got a call from this number this morning. The caller DID leave a message. It was Employment Security - Work Source calling wanting feedback on my experience with them.

Just received a call from this number, you can not return the call. We don't owe anyone, not sure why WA state would be calling us.

It was Social Security from Olympia calling me, they must route through Everett.

We get a FAX call from 425-513-0800 that displays SOW-DIS-TSD.  It is AX call and we do not accept unsolicited FAX calls.  Call back says that the number is Diconnected or No Longer In Use.  We get about omnephone call in the AM every three or four days.

I received a call from this number today.  The caller identified herself as an employee of the Snohomish County Courthouse.  They were trying to get a hold of me because I'm enrolled in their victim notification program and they wanted to let me know the guy who burglarized my apartment is about to get out.

She was very legit and knew lots of details about the case.  said they tried to mail me a letter but it got returned (I moved out of that apartment years ago).  After doing a google search on this number and finding this website, I tried calling back and got a busy signal.

I'm leaning towards the "central number for all government agencies" theory.

All of you are partly right in where this number is coming from. It comes up as SOW-DIS-TSD on the caller ID. I have actually talked to the person who calls me from this number. It happens to be my daughters college and I can tell you this is it a generic number that is assigned to SOW (Sate of Washington) so that government agencies can call you without long distance charges, no matter where they are located in Washington State.

In my case, it was an automated call from my daughter's school district to let me know that apparently she forgot to put the money I gave her into her meal account.

Answer me a couple of questions: Why would an employment verification call come at 8:30 at night? Why have a phone number that says it is disconnected when called back? I have had the same cell phone number for the last five years with no such incidence. I am certainly not on any kind of state assistance that would require verification of my employment; besides, even if that were the case, wouldn't MY employer be called for verification?

I am an employer and this number comes up on my caller ID whenever some is calling to verify employment for state assistants. I have done the investigation in it and it just a general number that a governmental office uses. It could be for anything :) NO WORRIES, if it was anything that was alarming you would have received something in writing.  No government office is going to contact you by phone unless they have made attempts to mail something again if it was something to worry about.

In addition to my earlier post, my source told me that all State of Washington service offices use a number scrambler for all outgoing calls so that people may not call back the original caller and harrass them. A different number is scrambled each time an outgoing call is made, so why are so many people getting this 425-513-0800 number?
