oh wow, glad i read this before i gave her any information. A little dissapointed i must say. she put up an ad about a 3 month old pomeranian for adoption and i quickly texted her because im looking to adopt a new dog/puppy, but im glad i read these before i gave her anymore personal information. i must say im a little scared as i did give her my age.

Same thing happened to me. She said her name was Dawn and wanted to know my lowest asking price. Only texted me late at night and then said she would be sending a bank certified check via USPS and would sent her shipping company to pick up my scooter lift. Something smelled fishy about it so I looked up the number and here it is. It's sad we can't do anything these days without scammers ruining it for everyone!

My message from Dawn is exactly the same message as Lauren. What a scam !!!!! If she is sending some one why did they not ask about crateing the item or anything about the item. I told her to bring cash and I can help to load it. They must search all of Craigslist

got a cl text scam  from 435-633-1402  person keeps texting me trying to get me to give them the name of my bank and etc. Trying to send me a cashiers check for $2700.00 for my outboard motor  that's only $900.00 (craigslist).

"Hi this is Dawn I saw your item on Craig and I will like to know if is still available and last asking price" - I texted back that the posted price of the scooter was the price and she offered a certified bank check which would get to me by USPS and the scooter would be picked up by a shipping agent once the check cleared...I explained that I only accept PayPal payments for out of state and didn't hear back...straight scammin!

this dawn lady or whoever it really is is a damn scam artist, "she" tried buying a tanning bed from me gave me the same speech that "she" gave everybody else.

Got an offer on Craigslist to buy my truck without them asking anything about the vehicle.  They wanted me to provide name and address so they could send me a certified check. I ain't giving them any info.

This person keeps texting me trying to get me to give them the name of my bank and etc. Trying to send me a cashiers check for $2000.00 for a TV that's only $800.00 (craigslist). The moron has no idea I work at a bank. I will take the measures needed once I receive the check.

this person tried to get me to sell her my pony/horse and said she'd pay me by a refund check over the ammount I was asking and then for me to wire her hauler the rest of the money!  Ha I caught you!

Instant text message from a Craigslist posting... I even took the time to make my number hard to decipher by using a combination of uppercase, lowercase, and numbers.  Apparently there is no way to avoid this scamming crap!!!
