I've never even had a yahoo account, and I've gotten 2 messages in the last 24 hours. First said, "how's it going Kimmie ! This is Jen. Plz add my yah00 so we can chat a bit, its:  rlunoemi". Second said, "Hiya Kimmie ! This is Jenny. Please add me on Yhoo! msgr so we can talk a bit, its:  tjiivy"

Just got a new iPhone thru AT&T directly. But this is the 2nd weird thing that has happened since I got my upgrade. First was a charge for 9.99 on my bill that neither me or my boyfriend asked for, and that, when we texted the stop code, told us that neither of us were subscribed!

Is there some sort of flaw in the systems of some major carriers now that is causing random people to have access to our info?

I got a text this evening right along the same lines as y'all but a different number. They just said, "How's it going Amanda ! This is Jen. Plz add me on Y! msgr so we can talk a bit, it's: mizparjuliet   I looked up the number and it's out of Illinois. I didn't respond.

I got the same message as well. Knew my name also from someone named Jen. They used a different number. ( 1-254-892-0420 ). Those of you who have ATT, remember to report these messages by forwarding them to 7726.

I got this message too, from the number 6264678605, when asked who they were, they told me "lol if you want to know who this is u got to add me on Y! messenger, my name is textieflirty685," I responded to them with the usual, "How about you tell me now or I block and report your number?" currently, no response, going to report the number.. stupid fecking telebot scams..

So did I.  told me to go to yahoo messenger to find out who they were.

Got the same message but I told them to eff off. After reading this I don't feel bad about doing it

Got a text that said, Hey (my name), i replied whos this, and there was no response.

I just got the same message a few minutes ago! It's possible this person has hacked into a Yahoo database or something. I'm changing my password, just in case.

Weird I got the same exact thing, it said Hola (Name)!!!, normally I dont reply back, but since it somehow knew my name I replied saying who is this and said that if I wanted to find out I would need to add them on Yahoo Messenger.

I got one from this number earlier tonight which said "Hi Jim?". I didn't bother replying, but based on what others are saying, I can expect a followup text inviting me to chat to a bot on YIM. Pft. My wife had a similar msg earlier today sent to her cell, using her name. Not from the same number, but when she searched Google, it was the same deal.

I just got a text too, telling me hi and used my name.  When I asked who I was talking to, no response. Creepy

got a text message saying HOLA Michael...    I posted the number in google and I see im not the only one...lol some people need to get a life...bless there heart...

got a text from this number, I was addressed by name... they even used the correct spelling of my nickname.  When I asked who was texting me, I go the a similar response: to find out I would have to add textieflirty685 on yahoo messenger.  I said no thanks, I don't use Yahoo and I haven't heard anything since.

Got a text addressing me by my name. When I asked who it was, it replied: "haha if u wanna know who this is you got to addd me on Y! msnger. my id is txtiewoman46"

I got a message from this number too and when I asked who it was I got no responce and ever since then IV gotten text messages from random numbers saying that I have went them a chain message even tho I don't have any message history with them

I got a text just a few minutes ago from this number saying, "hola sandra". I asked who it was and they said if I wanted to know who they were to add them on yahoo messenger at textwomen23. I asked why, but didn't get any reply.

I got a text from this number today that just said Hello Jim!  Anyone who doesn't give me the courtesy of identifying themselves gets no response.  My guess is that this is an attempt to hack our phones. Hit delete!

I just got the same exact text from a 231-333-5280!

I received a text message from this number 440-201-8711 today saying, "Hola, (my name). I responded by asking who this was and they replied, "Lol, if you wanna know who this is you got to addd me on Y! msnger, my name is textiegirlie58. I then said "No, tell me who you are. This is harassment." Then they replied, "oh. my droid's % is dieing. jus IM mi on Y.a.hoo.

I'd like to know how this spammer knew my name.

Received a text from this person also asking me to add them on Yahoo chat. I asked them who they and when they told me to message them I told them that not knowing who they were wasn;t going to be a waste of my time.

Received a text from this number that indicated they new me somehow and hadn't heard from me in a while.
