They just called me but I didnt pick up. Did not leave a message so it must not be that important

Apparently this is for a 'free cruise'.  I answered and selected '1' and was transferred to Juan, who told me that out of 72,000 entries only 800 were selected to receive a 'free' cruise/promotion (names were picked 2 months ago).  The only thing I would need to pay are the taxes (which equal $93/person) and I can go on a 4day, 3night cruise anytime in the next 18months to the Bahamas or Baja, Mexico.  He stated he was calling from Carnival's Cruise and Land Promotions Dept., and their Teleservices line/callback number was 1-877-862-9619.

Curiously, he couldn't tell me when or how I entered the contest and threw out a bunch of options (have you taken a cruise or traveled at all through travel sites in the last 9months?).  He was also unable to give me an address or email address as "even we're unsure if we're speaking to who you say you are, and we cannot disclose private info".  Hmm, yet you'll take my credit card number?  How can you confirm I am who I say I am and that I'm the rightful winner that's claiming this then?

I've yet to call back and check this out further but I'm not even sure I will as it'll most likely be a waste of time.

wow i won a free cruise but when i asked them the name of their company and then their address they hang up!!!Just like all the other SCAM CALLS they NEVER give their address..

received call resisted impulse to answer message left seeingly routed through  6504503292 offering a tel answering job to someone named Hashim paying 17,000 per month. Hashim or the sucker are supposed to call back the 650 number

I just received a call from this number; didn't answer and no message. I see ppl saying it's a 'free cruise' and wanted to contribute. I once actually spoke with a person who was offering something similar, and said I'd won it due to a subscription to some magazine or whatnot. It actually sounded plausible and I was curious so I remained on the line. We were going through the info she had, all of which was public info (which is why I wasn't concerned) blah, blah, and then she asked me to answer a few questions. The first was if I was married -- which I'm not. The second was how much (ballpark) money I made -- she gave me brackets and I told her. Once she found out that I was single and made less than $60k a year, she was instantly uninterested.


I was highly amused. That was about a year ago, and my identity has yet to be stolen. Far from a nefarious scam, I actually think they're fools who want to sell you a time share.

this company has an address..the guy didn't hesitate to give it to me..!!!.. it's clearly on their website @ cruiseandlandpromotions.net..by the way it's not a scam..you need to do some further research.

This was an automated message stating that I won an 18 day Carnival Cruise and to press 1 to be connected with someone to give me the prize or 2 to pass it along to the next person. I don't believe that I registered any such contest. I was tempted to press either button but I just hung up in case it sent me to a number that I would be charged for.

Unwanted call repeatedly to my cell phone.  I've been deleting without listening.

Angry. Sickened. Stop it! Stop stalking me with calls and now voicemail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received a call from this same 443-550-7903 # today saying I had won a "free cruise".  I do travel & also subscribe to travel magazines, so I curiously played along.  She gave me her name, Sharon, & I asked for a call back # 877-862-9619 Ext 5559.  Said the company name is "Cruise and Land Promotions" and to visit their website @ cruiseandlandpromotions.com   Stated that the trip can be booed any time in the next 18 months.  Min 2 people up to 16 people for taxes only $93.00 per person.
Represents Carnival, Royal C. & Norwegion lines.  Sailing from 3 ports in Florida, must provide own transportation to Fl. cruising to Bahamas or Mexico.  No time sahre involved & no sales pitches.  I told her I'd have to call back.  She claims the "offfer" is only good until 3:30 pm central time today.  Well, if I won shouldn't it be mine without a deadline?  Also she should be able to mail and/or email the legal docs for review without receiving the min of $93 x 2 today.  I was thinking scam; however, if it is a legit company, from the website they may not be time share trying to get you to commit, but it states they are a vacation club and when you pay the $93 per person, you automatically are enrolled for a "Trial Membership" for 6 months.  Always some kind of strings attached.  If it's too good to be true, then it usually is.

I let the phone ring and they left a voicemail.  Checked voicemail and no message was left.  Not sure who or why they called but since no message was left it can't be that important. Please do not call me anymore.................

Recieved the "free cruise" call same as above. I just hung up, likely scam as I never sign up for junk like this.
