Thanks this is very helpful since I have been receiving these calls at my office phone and cellular telephone number, which I really don't appreciate since I have no outstanding balances with anyone.

A man named "Jim" said he was from "CRS" and asked to speak to my husband regarding an ex-client who he is suing for non-payment ("Jim" named everybody correctly). He refused to give me any specifics about the reason for his call though I hammered him with questions to find out, at which point he got frustrated and said he's not taking any more of my s**t and hung up. I have learned how to demand transparency and truth when people like this call. We are getting the crazy calls again now that the government has been "shut down" and the FTC is non-functional.

These guys are breaking the law and posing as law enforcement.

They keep harassing me claiming a law suit against me.

They keep calling me and stating they want the last 4 of my ss number and that I need to have a lawyer call them on my behalf if I do not call them back personally.  Tried to call would not give me any information regarding the so called account. Asked them to email or mail the info wont do it. I just bought a house in December and my credit is good. So I am not calling them back.

This person Ashley Williams keeps calling from phone number 469-453-8427, and she is calling my business phone.  Left a message stating she is doing an asset investigation and give the last four digits of a social.  This is a complete scam, DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THEM.  I do not have any debt collectors looking for me, it is a complete scam.  What scumbags are these people that they do this for a job.  They do not identify their company.

The calls keeps coming and claiming tey are "Special Investigation div of a court", and want to know if I can resolve a case of theirs and settle for an amount. When I question this, they then claim they have a case with XXXXX Bank as their "client", and If I don't play ball, they will freeze all credit cards that I have -- all they said on what the credit cards I have are correct.

When I became alarmed, I demanded their name and company address, they switched to being nasty and hung up on me.

I think this is a collection agency and trying to pose as some legitimate sounding court div. I think this is a con game and If I get their contact info, I will definitely report them to our State Attorney General Office as some sort of con game or fraud...
