Same deal here. We get this call every other day and it is most definitely bogus.

I'm tempted to press 1 and give them the address of the Phoenix Police Department...

This idiot has been calling for months.  He used to have a phone out of Sierra Vista, AZ.  He was reported so much he now uses the phone 480-477-9259.  When you try to call this number back you get a recording saying you have reached a Dr. Harrington.  You would think this moron could have been traced by now.  He really needs to get a life.  I am sure he is mentally ill and needs a lot of attention.  We will just keep blocking him and not answering the phone no matter how many phone numbers he uses.  If he is calling from the Doctor's office he must be a mental patient.

Yep. My mom is getting these now. The whole automated recording is pretty darn scammy, making like there's a real person on the line just trying to deliver equipment that "someone who cares about you has already paid for."

Thx, nightowl, for making the call and posting the info.
Janet, she also has caller ID, so at least she hasn't had to talk with anyone, either.

Robo call from John-"We are ready to ship your emergency medical equipment, free of charge, all expenses paid." After more nonsensical blather, you are instructed to push 1 to place the order. I told the person who came on the line when he asked for my address to ship it to, that John already had it, since he called me. The person then explained that it was the equipment that is advertised on tv with the lady who says, "I've fallen and I can't get up." Again he asked for my address and I told him that John already had it since he called me. Then he stated that John was not a real person just the mechanical message-that everything was coming to me free of charge outside of the $39.95 cost for the live technician that is available to me 24 x 7. That is when I terminated the call. I am not yet a senior which this advertising scam is aimed at. Just imagine what kind of damage this could do to someone who is infirm or suffering from dementia or Alzheimers. I knew from the start that this was not a real person initiating the call, but an elderly person might not and, it took 15 minutes to get to the punch-line. Imagine what kind of confusion and damage that kind of time could cause someone who doesn't understand.  These people have called several times over the last two weeks using different numbers and this time I decided to follow it through to the conclusion so that I could accurately report my experience. We are on the DNC list and we continue to block the calls (from our own phone service) that we get from these people but they use 'spoofed' numbers. Children and grandchildren and friends and relatives of seniors, please be warned...
