i got this same number calling me today threating me of a lawsuit and s**t and when i called back the number, he would not tell me the company I supposedly took the loan out from. So he hung up after i kept asking who the company was.  Then I figured they harrassed me so why not harrass them. I called several times threating to pursue legal action and asked him what his name was as well as the company he worked for and he said who this you called me. I told him Aunt Jemima B***h and he started to get foul mouth calling me a muthafucker and asking me to suck his dick and s**t.  I straight went off and called him every name in the book and told him I was gonna come to Pennsylvania and burn his a** up!!

Got called a couple of times. Couple different #s, a 407, 484, and a weird 801 #. Same guy called used different names. Christopher, Shawn, Habib, Ryan. He is a senior investigator for Law and Investigation Department for Visa. SSN is on "hold?" by the Us Govt and my house is under investigation. Case has been "downloaded" to court house. When asked what court house, he said one in PA. Couldn't provide where and made up the case # on the fly. Asked him to repeat and it was a different one.  He never said it was even for a cash advance, he wouldn't explain what it was for, nor would he email or mail me anything. Its definitely a scam. Called him out and told him i was filing report and he hung up. Called back, asked to speak to Ryan, the same person as before, "Christopher" told me he hung up because he is the police and we can fight it out in court. He was "downloading" the case as we speak. He couldn't explain why he called form a 484 #. Which is a local area code in PA and then called form a 407 #, which is out of FL. I went thru this about the same time last year when they were saying they were based out of California. Don't give them info. Its absurb.

Same thing happened to me.  Some Indian sounding guy claimed he was officer John Martin from the "American Legal Investigating Department" and left me a message on my work phone saying charges have been filed against my name and social security number and that I must call him to get cleared or I will have big problems.  I am going to look into this and post what I find...

I received a call from these same people on June 21, 2010.  He said his name was Bob Cooper from "law and investigation dept."  Yeah, right, that makes a lot of sense.  I've been getting these calls mainly at home, but they sometimes call me at work, too, but they haven't lately (thank God).  I just can't help but wonder how these a**holes got my cell phone number!!!!!

PLEASE, whatever you do, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK OR GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!!!  This is a total scam, and they don't quit.

This Indian guy says his name is Officer Roger Smith.  He has threatened me saying I will lose my job, my family and everything I have.  They would not give me their address - told me to google it.  I took out some payday loans and thought that this was one that I was working on paying back.  I did give him $181 dollars and made arrangements to pay two more payments of $181.  Luckily I used a pre-paid debit card and once that was used up, there were no more funds for the next payment.  I told him I was going to sue him and he hung up on me.  I don't think I will hear from him anymore.  I know he has called me before using different names saying that he was a debt consolidation company.  He also called the receptionist at my work and threatened her by saying that if she didn't have me call him back that she would be in trouble.  I am worried that they have my phone number and address to where I live.  I am going to report this to the police.

This happened to me today and I couldn't even understand what he was saying.  I read all the posts and then listened to the message again and everything that was posted was in the message.  He said my ss# and address was under investigation and I wouldn't like what happened to me if I did not call back.  I called back and it went to voicemail.  I can't wait to talk to someone when I try back tomorrow.  LOL

They called our payroll department yesteday and today looking for one of our employees. The name that was given to me was Shawn Janes. He said that our employee had a lawsuit against her and he was from the government. He insists on speaking with our employee. When we didnt give him the employees information, he said "You are ruining your company's name, my name and the employee's name."  Mr. Janes has a very thick accent, and is very hard to understand. He continues to call looking for this employee, and he has become very nasty when he asks for her.

i have this same problem they keep calling my sister phone asking for me but i dont call  back cause i never used a loan before so thats the funny part. and he said her name is andrea jones but they can keep calling cause all we doing is recording everytime they call. and saying they investigating they should be investigating they damn self for coming to this part of the united states.

I got the same kind of call from this number too. He said that if I don't call back and pay the loan, It will be my head....(?) and I will go to jail. He called to my cell phone 5 times within 15 minutes, then he called my mother-in-law with the same message and he also called my work phone and left a message. I have no loans, so this has to be a scammer.

I just got a call from this guy that I later alled back and was told his name is Barber Foster with the American Legal Processing Division.  He had called and made very rude and threatening sexual comments harassing a female employee after trying to inform us of a complaint..?  Very thick indian accent.  He had no problem using the F%$& word and 'OK, though.

I got the same phone message and the indian sounding guy said his name was Richard.  He was yelling at me and telling me I was going to jail and would rot in there for the loan that I haven't paid back.  I told him to send me the paperwork and I would investigate it with my bank.  He told me he would email me the information within one hour.  It's been 3 hours and I have yet to get an email.  I demanded to speak to his supervisor and he told me:"my supervisor doesn't care about you".  I told him this was harassment and I would file a lawsuit against him.  He humg up on me.  I called back serveral times trying to get more information and to try and speak to a supervisor and he kept hanging up on me.  My husband called back and told him to NEVER call here again and he hung up.  I am reporting this to the Mississippi Attorney General's Office first thing in the morning.

I was told that Ofc James Cooper (who could barely speak english...sounded more like Indian to me) badge number 3802 said he worked for the Legal Department of America/The City of Pittsburgh, PA.  He asked me if I was deaf, and asked me if I wanted to know the size of his dick.  Told me I should not be investigating him like the FBI because HE was the investigator.  He was calling for an employee of mine.  So freaking rude!!!  I've heard of this scam before, so I was wise to it already.  Watch out!

This number is scam number   Indian accent   lawsuit filed on you ,  wants money for loan for different companies,  You check with company that they say and they will tell you that it is scam and you do not owe money and they do not have lawsuits.   The Indian will also tell you the trouble forthcoming will be on your head.  Say they are a Law officer with the courts.   Have reported to police and flc.   this is only 1 of many numbers that they are using

There is a officer named TIM PAYNE He is from Calgary and he made me a fool by his lovely voice But I spoke to one of the Subordinate he was with his Indian accent tried to cheat me then I came to know about these scams now try to save your self from TIM PAYNE because he is perfect on his work but surprisingly he is also one of the culprits from the scam company

I was worried because I know I am in debt, but I could not think of anyone that would be filing a lawsuit!!  When I found this site while I was on hold, I was very relieved. They said I owe money from a Payday advancement loan. I yelled, they yelled back in Indian and hung up on me.

They left a message on my answering machine in a thick Indian accent.  They said I needed to call them right away, there was a lawsuit against me and needed to verify my SSN.  They already had my name and  home address.   I never heard the name of the company because the call cut out for a moment, when it came back he mentioned I would be arrested in 24 hours if I didn't call back.  I figured it was a scam but checked it out here just to make sure.  Even if I had called him back there was no way I was going to give him any information, especially my SSN.

I just filed an online complaint with the PA Attorney General, and emailed the Chester County Police (info@chestercountypolicechiefs.org - the only email address I could find for police with jurisdiction in Downingtown, PA).  

This guy calls and leaves messages for the man that used to own our number.  He threatens the police are coming to take you to jail if you don't pay and court is in 3 days, blah blah blah.  The first message he left was something like 7 minutes long.  I called him back this afternoon and told him he has the wrong number, so hopefully he'll stop calling.  He calls himself "Officer Brown" when he calls us.

Over the past few months I have gotten several calls and this is the call back number they leave.  Today (7/20/10) the caller identified himself as Carl Hooper and said a lawsuit was filed against my social security number.  He always says he's from a law office and he used to say he was an officer. Several times he's told me that if I don't respond to his call they will issue a warrant for my arrest.  Also he has said I should call back with my lawyer's information.  When I have asked what the call is regarding he hangs up with out giving any additional information.  I don't have any current or previous loans, so I think they might just be fishing for information.

I just got this call on my voice mail. It states that if i don't call him back because of some lawsuit that i was be arrested within 24 hours. Same indian guys voice that you guys are speaking of. I do have a payday loan out which is where i am guessing he got my number from. What a douche, kinda scared me a bit.... trying to think what the hell i did wrong?? lol good to know that others have gotten this same call from the guy.

received several similar calls from this guy, hard accent and could not understand him.  Today, he threatened me by saying 'I would lost my job, my money, my family and my life if i did not respond immediately and give him my credit card number, or money.

Indian accent for sure, roughty too. he left a voicemal in which he hollered on and on about my S,S number and email being public...

been getting these calls for months. saying my fiance owes cash advance money. they have all his info. (bank, ss #, address, phone #). i have already filed a police report but it didnt seem to do much since i keep getting these phone calls. they have been calling from a new number 740-205-6659. do not fall for this! i am so glad we didnt! they talk a bunch of s**t and even sexually harrassed me! i hope our gov. can find these s.o.b's so we can all take turns kickin their a**

I have been called continuously since the beginning of this year.  I finally called them and told them that I didn't know what they were talking about and that I was going to have my attorney contact them.  They said go ahead.  Since I said that I didn't hear from them again until yesterday.  The name of the person calling changed and the name of the company they were calling from changed.  When I asked my attorney she told me that it was a scam and too look the number up on the internet and that is were I found this site.  Has anyone reported this to the authorities?

My boyfriend has been dealing with these people for about a year, calling on a weekly basis making all the same claims listed above. BUT now i have just received a call from a number of '0000', but missed answering it, and my boyfriend's friend (from home not even where he is living now) also received a call from the same number and they are threatening us to get to him! This is crazy, somehow they've accessed his contact numbers.. who do we complain to about this to end this finally!!

This guy with a thick indian accent continuously calls my number for my husband. They knew his mothers address and also the last 4 digits of his social security number which they left in the voicemail. I automatically knew it was fraudulent due to the fact they left that information in the voice mail. Yet I was worried that they knew his ss number so i called them. His name was "ian campbell" of course "ian" wasn't available so I dealt with this other man who wouldn't even tell me his name. He insisted I pay 500.00 that they said we owed from an online based company called Cash Advance. They said they are from American Federal Collections. He also told me that if we did not settle the dispute we would not like the ending results. They have been calling for a year I never called back because my husbands credit is perfect along with all of our bills. I am extremely worried and don't know what to do about them knowing his last 4 digits of the social. How did they get this???!!! Its sad that they are probably scamming so many people into truly believing they owe.

I received the same message from a man today with an Indian accent, said his name was Richard Gills and I had taken out a payday loan and he had my ssn, bank account info, and that I was going to be arrested for financial fraud and he needed me to call him back ASAP in order to resolve this matter. I called back and he answered asking me when I was sending the $440.00 I took out on a payday loan, I said I had never taken out any type of this kind of loan, he was very rude and demanded that I did in factdid take it out and he had all my info, when I asked him what bank the money was deposited into and on what date, he said he couldn't give me that info only the date it was deposited.  I in turn told him to send me the paperwork and he said he would do one better he was sending the police to my home to arrest me, put me in handcuffs, and proceed to take me to jail, and his best advice to me was to get a good lawyer.  I filed a police report when I got home and the officer lead me to this site. I hope they catch this guy, and put him in handcuffs and let him sit in jail for all the distress he has caused people. I hope this site helps others not to fall for scams like this in the future, I know I won't.

Same thing happened to me today. 5/25/10 First he called from an out of an country call. He also implied that he had access to my bank accounts. I am very worried. He said I had an advance loan from some company, which I have not had. Everything I spend is within my own banking account. Be careful. Don't let them get you.

I got this call this morning telling me I owed money from payday loan and loan advances that I had received. I have never taken out any payday loans or cash advances told me they would be on my doorstep with all the papers. Indian accent so much that I could hardly understand them. I got really rude with him telling him payday loans are illegal in NC and he got defensive and hung up on me.
