I just got this call, 3 times in the last hour.  No message, busy signal when I called back.  Tried to find out by googling the number, and now know it is from JCPS.  However, an attorney was in the search, so that might be why others were confused, not that they were duped into thinking that, silly!

Maybe it used to be a lawyer and got reassigned?

502-485-7150 is JCPS automated alerted phone number.  I just voluntarily signed up for alerts when I enrolled my child in school for this fall.  I just got a call from this number and when it rolled to voicemail the automated message said it was a test of the JCPS notification system.  I also just received a text from them as well as an email saying they would be sending out test calls.  This is not a prank.  If you're on the list - then you had a kid in JCPS at some time or the previous owner of your phone number had one. The number was mis-printed as belonging to a law firm at one time and apparently the misprinted number still persists on some cached Google pages but that is an error.  This is NOT a LAWYER (lol!) crack me up all the people who was convinced otherwise. Not a prank call either (unless someone added your number as a prank!

This is an outgoing only number for Jefferson county Public schools. any school, any building, ANY phone used to call out from JCPS will show this on caller ID.   Does not accept incoming calls

i get calls from a middle school telling me my daughter has missed 3 days of school this month so far. #1 my daughter isn't in middle school. she's only 4. they have the wrong # but someone obviously isn't keeping
track of their kid or calling the school to instruct that their kid will be absent.

Do not use the NDNCL or any other DNCL. The states send those lists out to anyone involved in telemarketing. So the state is doing nothing but providing proven phone numbers to the phone spammers. By the time enough complaints come into the AG's office to trigger an investigation the vast majority of these fleas have closed up and relocated. I am on a DNCL and only get two or three unwanted calls a month and one or two of those will be charities.

It is the Jefferson County Public Schools auto number to inform parents their child did not attend school that day.

When this numbr first started calling the id said jeff co pub schls and now iy says petzinger.

Received a call this morning from JCPS(Jefferson Co. Public School) about interviewing for a teaching position.

I have just purchased this phone and now I am getting these annoyance calls. I don't have any children in the school system any more. I am on the national do not call list too!

I just got two missed calls from this number as well and I knew when I saw it it was a Jefferson County Public school (in Kentucky) phone number because my mother used to work at one.. But usually the number that shows on the caller id when someone calls from one of the schools is a generic number so u can't call back.. I do live in louisville, ky but I dont have any kids.. Someone's kid most likely has just guessed a random phone number to give the main office in their school because in JCPS schools if u miss even one day of school they call ur parents.. My guess is a high school kid that cuts school alot..

485-7150 appears when ANY JCPS call is placed. You cannot dial back to the number, it is for Caller ID purposes only. They use a trunk system and many phones are dial out only. They use automated systems to call for various reasons such as a tardy child. If you get calls from that number then your number is somewhere in one of their systems, possibly given to them by mistake or sometimes people move after enrolling a child or lose/change the number.
If you get a call from that number and you have a child at JCPS, call the school at the correct number. If not, report the call to their switchboard so they can investigate and get the correct number.

this is most definatley a JCPS number and it shows up if your child calls you from any random phone in the school.  When you call it back it will be busy because another child could be useing it since it is acatch all numebr for caller id of all JCPS schools.

Called my cell phone and called my work. Unable to speak to anyone either time. Call my cell phone but don't call my employer.

Was a wrong number. State farm looking for someone. 2nd call today. Looks like this is an outbound trunk used by a few companies.

Just as many of you claimed when trying to call back this unknown/unrecognized number you get a busy signal.  After a few attempts of trying to call the number back my phone rang with this number again and I answered. My mother is a teacher in the Jefferson Co. Public Schools and was calling me about a personal matter.  So, apparently this is a main line used for all the schools in the Jefferson Co. Public School Districts. Hope this helps!

keep getting call from this number.....three time as of ten minutes age......tried calling back a couple of times...lines busy.  just got through but received a wrong number VM...????? getting on my nerves

I get calls from 502-485-7150 and try to call back just to get a bussy signal. With all the technology available, why can't somebody stop these prank calls

Yes, I just confirmed from my child school that this is an outgoing number from JCPS. You can not call it back. All of the schools start with a 485, but none of them have the last 4 digits of 7150.

Any number starting with 485- is a JCPS number.

This is a JCPS number.  could be an automated call for reporting student absence.

They didn't leave a message.  They called my cell phone, which is unusual.  Not many people have that number.
