21november2011. called cell (do not call list). did not recognize/answer.

I have been getting these phone calls.  They don't leave a message but when you call it back it say the  automated DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.    I have put my phone numbers on this type of registry but I was always the person to iniate the contact.  I personally think that this is a fraud.  I would just disregard these types of phone calls.

I have been called several times a week from the number on both my cell and my land line. Tonight the girl who called on my cell identified herself as Rachel. Sometimes it's a male caller, sometimes female. A couple of days ago I pressed "1" to speak to the representative and told him I am sick of being called, I am on the do not call list and don't call back. He hung up on me.So tonight I got another call. They call on Sundays, evenings. This has gone on for at least a year.

I keep getting calls from this # and they never leave a message - how do we get it to STOP????

I answered a call from this number and heard "Hi, this is Rachel with Card Holder Services..." and I hung up.  I refuse to talk to anyone who doesn't properly identify themselves with a company name.

I get these calls all the time to my cell. I haven't had credit cards in years but they still call despite being asked repeatedly.

Pressed the number 1 to find what credit card company was calling  to bother me and JIM answered stated they represent all Visa cards. When I asked JIM where he got my phone number he quickly hung up on me. Bite me JIM. Now I'm thinking about canceling all of my Visa cards see if Visa gets my message

They called, I did not answer, they left no message.

I keep getting the same calls to. And because of this page, I do not answer.

Calls from this number are annoying, unnecessary, supposedly about credit.  Please eliminate them!!!!!

I got a call from this number again today.  I called back and it went directly to a recording allowing me to press 1 to register for their do not call list.  I am already registered with the national do not call list...but I did it again anyway.

EVERYONE, look at this excerpt from the comment previously posted by Frustrated:

I called the 407 number myself and spoke with Kelly. She said that her company pays the spam company to find qualified numbers of people with credit card debt for them. Therefore, call these two numbers and ask to speak with Kelly or whoever is available. Let them know that their name is being repeated in online forums and in complaints with the FTC and attorney generals' offices.

This is the ONLY way we are going to get this to stop, when the purchasers realize that doing business with the spammers is NOT good for business or their online reputations.

I Recceived the same thing.  Phone number 1-503-902-8259 (which wheni  call it back is a "Do not call list" phone number?  I spoke with my bank and they said said anybody asking for account numbers is a SCAM.  

This number was trying to tell me that they could lower my interest rate if i could provide them with my credit card account numbers.  BEWARE!

Yes, got a call from that number - they want to know if you are there, then it hangs up on you.  A spammer looking for viable phone cell numbers to sell

yes they are scammers  and the reason you get the national do not call registry is because that is how they have it set up and if you put that ifon in then they got more on you  DONT CALL IT OR DO ANYTHING and if they call answer the phone and tell them they just caslled thr FBI and they are now traced

called my cell! how are these people getting cell numbers? didn't answer a didn't recognize the number. They didn't leave a VM.

I received my 10th call from 503-902-8259, so I played all long with the rep to see if I could get a phone number and the name of the company out of them. They kept insisting that they take my information,  including my credit card number, address, and social security number to call my credit card company to confirm that I have more than $4K in debt and then have a financial advisor call me back. So I went along and I got a call back the next day.  I said I was couldn't talk, can I have your name and nummber and I will gie you a call as soon as I can. The rep name Kelly said she worked for Debt Free Lving and her phone number was 866-920-8259 x 3360 (When she called me the caller id said from 407-398-1429). I called the toll free 866 number she gave me and that is infact the company.

I received a call from this same number with a message claiming they are my credit card company (of course they don't mention the name) and they will reduce my interest rate "...last chance...final opportunity..."

Clearly this is a scam intended to obtain your credit card information. I went to the Do Not Call Registry (linke below) to first verify that all my numbers are on the list and then to lodge a comlaint against this number.

If enough people file a complaint with the registry, perhaps they will allocate resources to get this operation shut down. Like grandma used to say "...the squeaky wheel always gets the grease."

spam call

Received a call on my cell phone this morning and because the number is NOT listed in my phone's address book, I would not answer the call.  No voice mail was left.
I don't return calls to an unknown number if a voice mail is not left.

I just got a call from this number, they too said it was from the national don not call registry and to press one. I hung up and then tried to call back. However it doesnt ring - it just connects. I did this three times and each time it just connects - no talking in the background, my mobile just says it is connected. Each time I took my battery out in case it was a scam in which they bounced calls off my number and then charged me long distance calls. I'll get with my carrier in the morning to ban this number.

I do not have a credit card and haven't had in 8 yrs.  This is a cell phone and registered with DO NOT CALL.  WHY DO THEY HAVE THE  RIGHT TO STILL CALL ME!!!!!  I got the same call from the same area code but different number last week.  IT'S GOT TO STOP!!!!!  I thought when I got rid of a land line the spam calls would end.  I don't care about their rights to run a business where are my rights to privacy and peace and quiet.  I pay the bill shouldn't I get to decide who calls me.

Great idea! - I've actually done this several times already this year.

I don't even have a credit card.. why in the hell would they call my phone.. i'm even on that DO NOT CALL list..
