WHO IS THIS?

They called me to lower my interest rate, i pressed 1 to speak with someone. when i asked very politely to have my name taken off their list, i hear a click because she hung up on me.

Turn them in!!

Got a call from them.
Gave him my credit card number as 58GO-F***-YOUR-SELF.
They immediately hung up.

They called me today!  When I inquired what company they were calling me from, they hung up.  I called back, and it said, "This number is no longer in service."  (Within a couple of minutes of the call.)

Constant calls from Card Member Services. So tired of these calls. I have reported them many times. Now I press 1 and just keep them on the phone as long as I can. I tell them I have high balances on high interest rate cards. Maybe while I delay them it will save someone else a call or two. Also I figure talking to real people costs this company time and money. They always hang up anyway.

They called me today!  When I inquired what company they were calling me from, they hung up.  I called back, and it said, "This Verizon Wireless number is no longer in service."  (Within a couple of minutes of the call.)

Received several calls from this number. Automated message to lower my interest rates.  Don't need it.  Never asked for it.  All of our  phones are on the do not call list, including the cells.  I pressed 1 and told them to remove our name from their list, and that we were on the do not call list.  The woman on the other end hung up on me.

I get at least 2 calls a week from this number on my mobile phone.  I'm on the "do not call" list and I've asked them to take me off their calling list and I still receive calls.

Maybe we should give the poor slobs a break!  What else have they got going on in their meseralble lives?  I'd like to start by breaking a few fingers and then maybe a leg or two, but then they would probably want the government to take care of them, so let's just send out Seal Team 6.

Answering and hanging up won't do anything to their system and if you're on a cell phone it will just cost you money. HOWEVER you can make their day a little less fun by answering, saying "Hello, I'll be right with you".  Wait a second or two and hang up.  OR if you have an answering machine, make sure the message is really short, like "Hello. Please leave a message".  

The calling system detects your voice, waits for a pause to occur within the first 5 seconds or so and only THEN transfers to a live person. If you just hang up you've only inconvenienced a computer and they don't really care.

NOTE: I attempted to return a call to the displayed number (508) 475-1388 using Skype... the caller ID number is invalid.

Thanks to the information here, I did not answer this call which is to my cell phone.

This # calls my h# at least once a week, I have been trying to get them to take me off their calling list-something about lowering my interest rate on my credit card & this is the final notice-i pressed 1 & asked to be taken off, the guy said 4 me to repeat my h# 5 times & they would take me off-I did it,like a fool & he said now go look in the mirror & call yourself a dumbass, now I am irate.

I don't even have a credit card that I have to pay monthly and they keep calling, asking who I am, and hanging up.

These slimeballs call from different numbers and locals with same script and sometime sounds like the same voice.  My attorney says to ignore the pigs....better yet, answer, and  then quickly hang up, this throws their computer generated system out of whack...and I understand from a reliable source it can take up to (2) hours to get the system back in sync.

They just called me and I wasted 4 min of their time - went along with them (sounding like the old red neck that I am) I said gooood gawed man Who put $6,000 dolliars on my carrd! (screaming ) he said your ex-wife I said which one I have had seven of em , he said no it was your future wife she went to victoria seceret and ran the bill up, I told him she walks with a cane and don't  drive and I don't think she could walk the 12 miles to town.besides there ain't tothing there except the general store.. he was laughing the whole time... I said your a liar man and hung up -


My sister received a call the other day and the caller ID said Phone Scam and thats just what this call is,

CANX called today 508-475-1388. I didn't answer & they left no message.

Just received a call from CANX 1-508-475-1388 on Thursday 9/8 2:57 pm ET. I did not pickup. They did not leave a message.

Stimulus is the latest recording from this number which shows on ID CANX.. WTH is wrong with my constant updating on DNC list, are these options even working???

Do not answer, and just delete, but report this number. Many of the comments are correct, this is a scam for dollars.  Report it! block the number each time!

Everyone who gets a call from 518-475-1388 it may come in from Unknow # file a complaint at  https://www.donotcall.gov  It only takes about a minute to file a claim.... Don't know if it will help but if enough people file complaints against the telemarketers when we ARE ON THE NO CALL LIST maybe something will be done.  I file a complaint every time I get a call. So far it has worked I just started getting from the 1388 # so we will see what happens!  Good luck and keep filing complaints with the NO CALL center.... Please file a complaint and help get ths stopped and people making the scam calls arrested!

What phone company serves this number? Is there a way to find out?

I got a call and requested to be placed on do not call list and was told no with an abrupt hang up.  Called back and was given a single option to be removed from their list.

Several calls from this company over the last year.  This one came through as CANX under the 508-475-1388 and out of Massachussetts.  Called them back and pressed 1.  Told them to immediately remove our name from their list as we are on the national do not call list registry and their call was not solicited by us.  Woman at the end of the phone said "No" and hung up on me.  Could not call the number back again as all I got was a busy signal.  This is only one of the numbers that they have called on.  My husband also dealt with them last week and all they wanted from him was a credit card number over and over.  When is something going to be done about these people?  They are really just a pure annoyance to us, but if they get hold of someone more naive there could be real repercussions.

Sepervisor "Kathy Wilson,"  when I aske dot be taken off the calling list, told me she would KEEP calling me. When I told her that was against the law, she said "we like breaking the LAW."    REALLY???
