This is actually the default number for Great American Insurance. If anyone calls out of the company, it comes up 513-361-0000 instead of their direct phone number. When you call this number, it goes to the Great American Switchboard, not to the person that originally called you. That is most likely why people think the number is a "scam" because the operator who answers will have no idea who called you unless you have an idea. Also, Bank Of The West is a division of Great American so they could also be who is calling you from this number.

I just received a call from this number today and immediately looked it up. After reading these prior comments I find that it may very well be legit call from Great American Insurance. They are my homeowners insurance provided by my mortgager. With a recent loss they may have called to ask me a question. My only real concern is the same as others, if it is legit then there should have been a detailed voice message left & a subsequent email or confirmation that it was from the home owners insurance comp.
I hope this is helpful.

I got a call from the number, and spoke to a person who identified himself to be an investigator, and tried to get me to go see a lawyer. They are soliciting legal and clinic services.

I got a message from them on Friday, January 6 saying it was in reference to my car and insurance. Even had a policy number. Deleted message by mistake and used caller ID to call them back. Received same bs as everyone else. I was suspicious as my bank and insurance company always send a letter, never a phone call.

1) It seems to be a call from a Towing Company. They set up this majick jack line as a verification for insurance,ie: This company makes a fake insurance acord form and sends it to a client saying they have insurance.
2) They use the phone number to to try and find out things about people.
I would be very carefull if anyones recieves a call from this number as it's some kind of scam. We will conntinue to contact our source @ Majik Jack for further info, and it will be posted shortly..

Got a message from this number too. Says it was from my bank about my truck I just purchased. Asking about insurance verification. Hmm, don't they usually send out letters? I'm ignoring.

Got a call from this number on my cell phone asking for Theresa (insert last name here) (I didn't catch the last name). I told the woman that she had a wrong number. She read me back my phone number, & when I told her that she was right, she said "I'm sorry, the wrong number was given. Thank you." & hung up. She sounded like she was trying really hard to sound like a machine, but it was clearly an actual person.
A few years ago, I got a similar call, & a few short days later, I started getting phone calls claiming that my house payment was due, or that I was late paying for my car insurance. The phone number was always different, but the company name was always the same (during the rare occasions when they decided to give it). At the time, I had neither a house, nor a car (I wasn't even 18 yet when this happened), but the calls kept coming. Finally, I got fed up with it. I got a call asking if I was aware that my car payment was due, so I put on my best imitation of a child & said "I'm only 13, I don't have a car!" The man I was talking to immediately hung up on me & I never received a call like that again. Keep that in mind if they try to tell you that you owe them money, but it's a company that you've never heard of. Being on the No-Call list doesn't seem to matter to these people.

My husband just received this nuisance call from that exact number--no message was left, he didn't answer the phone when it rang...we have no plans to do a callback.
