City: Pointe Claire Province: QC Country: CANADA <---  This number showed up as unknown on caller ID.  Claim to be a magazine company wanting to lower your payments and months of subscription at the same time.  They claim there is a voice recorded confirmation for the subscription of five magazines, for five years, prepaid by them to be paid back by me, but are unwilling to make a copy of it to send for listening.  Then threatining to send it to collections for the tune of a hefty $1500.00 bill to be paid in full.  They were confused as to how the subscription payment was paid for in the first place. One person said credit card and another said checking account. It was over 3 years ago according to them and no payment has been recieved since 2006(and never called before?)and they have a lot of customers to deal with.  They refused to let me speak with customer service. Kept going back to "we're trying to help you by reducing your payments."  ALL FOR MAGAZINES WE DON'T EVEN RECEIVE!!!  Sorry, no getting info from me!!  Report them to the local authorities ASAP.
When I asked what state they are calling from, I got New York.  The number is for Quebec.  Every service I try going through on the internet wants MONEY to give info.  411 tells me it's a cell phone or a cafe in Quebec.  Nice try.
