Je vis a Montreal et mon copain a Boston...  Lorsqu'il m'appelle, c'est ce numero qui apparait!  Je ne sais pas exactement si c'est a cause de SKYPE ou d'une carte telephonique, mais contrairement a la majorite des gens, je n'ai pas eu les memes problemes de centre d'appels...

I missed this call first time.
The second time is ok and then  I find out that's by calling card from Viet-Nam.
I think it may happen to other elsewhere!

these people are f***ing stupid. they keep calling me and woke me up this morning f***ing early. we should f*** them up.

I got a call from this number too a couple of hours ago. A guy with an accent told me he is calling from India and wants to speak to Mrs Singh (the name of the person who had this number before it was assigned to us). I told him we have this number for three years now and I'm getting sick and tired of all their relatives and friends calling us at all hours. I proceeded to block the number right away. Unfortunately I think it was the same person who used an unidentified long distance number 1 hour later with the same excuse, but I'm not sure since my husband answered that one. Isn't there any way we can stop these people?

Just so you know, I used skype to call a friend and he said that the number on his phone was 514-868-9760 so maybe skype uses this number and thats why diffrent people receive different calls from the same number...

There was one right answer to this question but nobody seemed to have noticed it: the lady whose husband works on a boat and calls her using a calling card! She's the winner of this contest. 514 868 9760 is a number that shows up when someone calls you using a calling card (or sometimes skype) from abroad! It's not telemarketing. And why they are rude - well, many of us are rude on the phone. Many people hang up when they don't hear the right voice. I know the number because every time my parents call me using a calling card from Romania, the caller id displays this number. You may say - nobody calls me from Romania (or India, or China). Well, they just get connected to you by mistake. Hope this answers everyone's worries and police will be doing what they have to be doing instead of chasing phone numbers. Cheers.

This is a telemaketing company from Montreal. Tha call can be for any product. In my case it was to receive a newspaper at home, but can be anything else.

A call came from this number on 20/01/2010 at 1:00 am and the person knew my name, and where i am from. He was swearing, and was really freaking me out.

You state " I will report it to Bell Canada" i find Funny.Did you know the reason for all of your Telemarketing Sales Calls is because of Bell Canada! They sell your information in the form of leeds to theseCompanys for additional profit!  I kno from first hand Facts not opinion. Ever try VideoTron or Roger home phone services? 'NO Sales Calls" Funny, aint it? Bell is struggeling as is financially due to poor service!

I have a boyfriend out of the country and when he uses Sype to call me
the same number appears on my caller Id...
ALSO the same number also appeared on my Phone Id when a Man
with a strange accent called me for personal information for someting like RBC insurance purpose...
Anyways I just said I was not interested and he got really  mad at me !?
Very stange I found even if it was a scam I tought what a lack of professionalism!
So I remembered the number and when my boyfriend called me back I was never picking up the phone thinking it was the other man calling me!
Until my boyfriend told me he was calling...
The thing is that I don't have a Skype account...
My boyfriend does...With his name not mine!
So how did this person call my house number and got my name...
It is and can only be with Bell Canada 411 that they actually got your phone number and Full name or the plain old phone book methode!
They use Skype just because it is a good way to hide traces of any scams!
JUST BE CAREFULL WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!

Received call from #514-868-9760 and the man was speaking French to me but he asked me if I spoke English and I did but he couldn't speak neither languages!  I think he asked me what company I used for my phone and internet so I replied why I should tell him and hung up!

I've received calls from this number many, many times over the past 2 or 3 weeks. I called it back one day, and it said the number was not in service, so I thought maybe a payphone, but Skype makes sense, cause these telemarketers will use whatever they can to get free long distance. It's gotta be a scam.

I received a call  from this number,missed the call because I was asleep (but it woke me up)- so I called back right away, and it said they were not in service. I did the reverse phone look up, and the number cannot be found (only that it is located in Montreal).

This number is SKYPE, it can be ANYONE calling, good or bad.

Some indian/pakistani guy with a very heavy accent called to tell me he was calling from the Govt of Canada CRTC and that after today He knew my first and last name. I would not get anymore unwanted calls...hes like hang up the phone and a woman will call you back to give you a code...5 seconds later a recorded msg came on saying something about your craigslist security code is 88276 and hung up...then the guy calls back saying did you get the code? and i said are you f***ing kidding me! its some craigslist code and he was flustered and hung up!!! WTHHHHH

Hi they just called my friend..He didn`t answer. I went to find out who it was and found all yr comments. Called my friend back and told him. That`s for the comments it will help other people..I don`t understand why anyone doesn`t do anything about this..
