Rec'd call from this #; did not answer & they did not leave a message.

This is NOT National Geographic.   It's a scam, looking for your personal information.   Just don't answer.  If you do, don't give them any info.   Block their number if you can.

Caller ID says National Geographic. They call all day, everyday, multiple times per day.

National Do not call Registry, I registered my home number for 10 years, and have made so many reports NS COMPLAINTS to them, until I lost faith in them, SIMPLY JUST GAVE UP ON THEM, they did not do any thing and my home is flooded with these cold callers every single day, 10-15 calls on average, this is on a 10 year old do not call list ( renewed too ) that agency is full of Sh*t

This number has been calling almost daily for a couple of weeks.  Never anyone on the line if I bother to pick up.

Just called the number back and got a very pleasant answer.  Woman informed me that this number is their dvd subscription number and that they are trying to sell merchandise.  

She removed my number from the list without hesitation.

As I understand it, the fine is very large for a company if they don't remove your number from their list when asked to do so

When I answered, at first no reply only back ground noise. Then someone goes "umh umh..umh umh" then back to just the background noise until the call disconnected.

Calls almost daily. Most often dead air. Occasionally a human will pick up and claims to be from National Geographic, offering a free map.

Their own auto-dialer system will hang up on the agent in the middle of her telemarketer spiel.

Waste of time, illegal, nuisance.

I can't count the times I have been bothered by calls from this number.  Wish there was a way to get them to stop.

Who can we call to stop this number from calling me?

I answer and there is not reply only a beep and the line is lost.

I was getting calls from this number 3-5 times per day.  I finally answered and said "So, you're the folks calling 3 -5 times per day. THIS was her response: "Not me personally (chuckle) but we are excited to talk to you." I told her to get rid of my number.  I then wrote an email to askngs@nationalgeographic.com (there is NO customer support address) and got a canned thank you.  However, two days later I got a response from the company doing their calls for them.  In short, it was taken care of ... I would suggest to anyone - even if you tell them to remove your number, write an email to Nat Geo at the above address...you WILL get a response and perhaps if enough people do it - they'll realize that the call center isn't winning them any friends!!!

They call me 2 or 3 times a day and it goes on the answering machine. All that is heard is a low tone more like a vibration but not a fax. It's annoying and people are saying here that it is National Geographic calling. I'm tempted to cancel my subscription but I do like their magazine.

My caller ID showed it was from Iowa.  I didn't take the call, but called it back - a message said it was National Geographic Home Video Customer Service.  I told the girl that answered to put my number on their Do-Not-Call list, but she said she needed my name, which I wouldn't give to her.  I contacted National Geographic through their website - gave them the number that was calling, the name they were using, and my number(only my number). I told them to stop calling and to put my number on their Do-Not-Call list permanently.  Below is their response:

they won't leave a message so i don't know who it is

Like others, I get this called every morning about 10 AM, with no sound when the receiver is picked up.  Dial (1) and the recording "This Number can not be reached by dialing One"
I would love to give them physical damages!

This number called and when I answered the guy said something vulgar and hung up.  I have now blocked him.

Shouldn't be calling me, I'm on state and federal no call list.

Get yourself a telephone number blocker. I see this number come up and all I do is press "block" on my device and I never hear them again except for a very short ring. During the 12 months leading up to Election day I must have blocked 300 numbers.  Everyone should own a phone blocker.

Just an update....I did what another posted suggested; forward the call from a certain number back to that number.  No calls!
Today I just received a call from this number at work!!  #$%^&  They wanted to give me a free map!  Informed them that I canceled my subscription months ago, don't call me at work or at home-I don't want their stinking map!

I see by my caller id that this number calls me everyday. One time a "name" showed up, National Geographic.  Which is funny because I canceled my subscribtion in August.  I figured they were calling to make me some kind of offer.  You'd think that after calling everyday, no one answer but the answering machine comes on that no one is home during the day !!!!

They are a company called DialAmerica Marketing. They call on behalf of National Geographic to sell DVDs. I happen to know this because I have a friend that used to work for them. They have offices in several states across the US.
